Psalm 126:5-6

"Sow In Tears"

"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy."  Weeping for a lost world is a lost art in a world of growing anger and a "get you before you get me" generation.  Whatever happened to shedding "salty compassion" for people who can't find their way, who don't know the Savior, and who have no idea of the hope hovering right over their heads.  The roadmap to their souls; the gate to their hearts; the open door to their mindset is to "Sow In Tears."

"He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves
with him."  (Psalm 126:6)

The scripture says that God shall wipe every tear from our eyes when we get to heaven  ...  We usually believe that to refer to our sorrows, our troubles and trials, our hurts, and the misjustices done to us here in earth  ... and that's probably true, but what if God is speaking also about the tears shed for souls?  He carries us through our trials and tribulations, and our tears are comforted by His loving arms, but the tears shed for a lost world must fall to the ground and bring up a crop!  The wet seeds from a groaning prayer warrior must not be wiped away in earth, for they target the sheaves and water the growth for harvest.  And, as Pastor Andrew Willis preached, "we will reap where we have not sown," because the winds of God carry that seed wheresoever He will!

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the
proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
(Galatians 6:9)

Plant your tears, Saints of God, sow the waters of salvation, weep for the dust formed by God's hands, seed the fields of harvest, and the crops will be easy to pick and ready for gathering!  Tears are the drops of passion falling from a vision of the cross planted in the heart of the redeemed.  The Spirit of the Lord brings with it the plan of the ages, and the impetus of God in the flesh striving in a Garden trial for a cup of sin as big as the world.  We are never closer to Almighty God than when we lie in a pool of our own tears falling for the fallen.  No, those tears He will not wipe away in earth; they are the sickle of power for the reaping of His creation; all of heaven sings with every teardrop that falls  ...  the angels stand at attention anticipating another new arrival  ...  the Book is opened  ...

We pray to win souls; we witness and spread the Word of God, but the groundwork must be laid to reap in Joy  ...  we bend a knee, envision a Hell reaching out its evil grasping hands ...  and across the divide is a heaven of Angels leaning over the portals with wings of feathers fanning and songs of Holy straining  ...  and there's no question what we must do  ...  "Sow In Tears!"
