"Knowing The Unknown"

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen."
(Hebrews 11:1)

The Unknown is known if we tap the One who knows it!  Huh?  There is only One in the entire universe who IS all things and who knows all things; there is nothing "unknown" to Him, and that One is the Holy One of Israel, The Lord Jesus Christ.  The things we have not seen, He has seen; the things we hope for, He knows; the substance we desire, He has; the evidence we seek, He created  ...  It comes down to the one thing humans must seek to know by faith in His Spirit, through prayer, illumination of His Word, and the brush of angels' wings: "Knowing The Unknown.

You say, "What in the world are you talking about; we know about the Lord Jesus  ... are you saying He is unknown?"  Yep, to those who have not received His Spirit, the Holy Ghost.  Those who have received the Holy Ghost know Him in Spirit and in truth; but, there is much more to God than we can fathom.  Therefore, "faith" requires seeking to know the unknown.  The mighty and powerful gifts of the Spirit of God, wisdom and knowledge, lead us stronger into the essence of The Almighty God.  The gift of wisdom is something only God knows and He, then, reveals it to someone; the gift of knowledge is when we know we have a lump in our body, and God reveals it to someone else, who prays over us for healing of that lump, but we never told that person about the lump.  The unknown is made known by the One who knows!  God knows your tears, your fears, your innermost hurts and His gifts are given to people filled with His Spirit to help others, to bring deliverance, to lift up, comfort and heal those in need.  Faith, then, is believing in the unknown.  What?  The Bible says that we must believe that He IS!

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he
that cometh  to God must believe that he is, and that
he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
(Hebrews 11:6)

Knowing the unknown about God is the Christian's quest.  The deep calleth unto deep; the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much  ...  we seek, seek, seek, to know Him, to feel Him, to understand Him, to hear Him, to believe in Him, to have the mind of Christ, to see through His eyes, and to pursue the unknown about Him.  It keeps some of us awake; it draws some to the pastures; it pulls lonely love songs from the hearts of some; it makes poets out of some; it lays some on their faces in visions and wonders; it causes some to become martyrs for the cause of Christ; it draws some to radical worship; and it captures the very souls of some in the throes of desperate love with the lover of their souls.  It's an ethereal tryst of holy proportions for some  ...

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on
what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary,
but what is unseen is eternal."
(2 Corinthians 4:18)

We can never even get a glimpse of the unknown without being filled with the Holy Spirit, which is the known.  "Lord, we repent of our sins; fill us with Your Spirit, and we will speak in that heavenly language, as Your Spirit gives us the holy utterance.  We will be baptized in Your name, so that our sins will be washed away and remembered no more."  When the known Spirit of Jesus Christ lives within us, we begin to see more and more of the unknown.  The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Jesus Christ living within us; it leads us into all truth, gives us illumination of His Word and strength to face tomorrow.  It's like FIRE shut up in our bones; it's the glory of omnipotence dwelling in "dust."

"But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed,
but of those who believe and are saved."
(Hebrews 10:39)

"Born Again" means we have repented; we've received the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord; and we've been filled with His Spirit and baptized in His name.  We KNOW the unknown.  Jesus Christ whispers His love in darkness; underneath are His everlasting arms in the storms; He's the fairest of ten thousand; He's our Lily of the valley and our bright and morning star; we discover "weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning!  KNOW Jesus Christ and KNOW love; KNOW the Creator of the universe and KNOW about eternity; KNOW the Savior of the world and KNOW forgiveness; KNOW the King of Kings and KNOW hope; KNOW Almighty God and become a new creation; and KNOW the Son and you KNOW the Father!

Everyone wants to know  ...  What is heaven like?  Will we know our families and friends there?  Is it real?  Is this hope a real hope?  Knowing Jesus Christ is knowing answers through His Word, His Spirit, and His gifts; it is the ultimate gate into that elusive: "Knowing The Unknown."

"Faith Walkin'!"

"So we are always of good courage. We know that
while we are at home in the body we are away from
the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight."
(2 Corinthians 5:6-7)

The "faith one" fights for Truth and justice, even as the Angels in
heaven fight for their Creator's plans. It's a thought from the Master mind to subdue evil, purport good, and it comes from the Maker's hands.  This is a job not designed for sissies; it requires stamina, trust, and a fearless state of mind that won't quit.  Oh yeah, the going gets tough sometimes, when the devil fights his games of war, that are far from legit, but the armed stalwart soldier knows his position, stands his post, alertly watches, lapping from the hand. Don't you know that this battle is mostly in the mind; it's a War of the Word, the Name and the Blood, God's everlasting command. Guard your minds, ye saints of the most High, for time is short, and the devil is on the prowl, seeking whom he might devour.   Yield your whole being to Jehovah, the Lord Jesus Christ, His blood, His Word, and His power.

It began in Eden, when Eve believed the beguiling and twisted
reasoning, of a doomed discarded egotist
And so it is today; the devil still seduces the minds before the body
follows, he's an evil, lying hypnotist

We must be ever diligent to hide the Holy Word of God in our hearts that we might not Sin; it will spare us heartache and a burning Hell.  If we just heed His Word, repent, be baptized in Jesus' name; we'll receive His Spirit from the never ending well.  Very soon, the trumpet will sound and the dead in Christ will rise first; then, we who remain will be caught up. We'll rise to meet the Lord in the air; it will be the beginning of a new dimension, of eternal unblemished worship.     Oh, the joy of eternal abiding with our Lord and the Lover of our souls; it will be divine ecstasy.  To miss our awaited heaven, because of pride and Sin would be a hellish tale untold, and a forever travesty.

It will be the harmony of a love for thousands of years, now in full bloom and reciprocal in bowing statures; as we kneel before our Holy God and He bows to lift our faces, and wipe away the tears, now forever captured.  It's a love for all of eternity that will be a banquet like no other; because now the trials are over, with the purest finality of heavenly talkin'.  We have exchanged our Warring gear for robes and crowns, and we will rejoice that we won, with "Faith Walkin'!"

"Roots and Wings!"

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
(Psalms 1:3)

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they
shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
[and] they shall walk, and not faint.
(Isaiah 40:31)

Ye saints of The Holy One of Israel: let your trees dig deep that no
winds will sway you from the truth of God
Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might; you may be
formed from dust, but you're redeemed sod
May your season bear its precious fruit and move in The Spirit, for
the final hour is now for the vessel's worth
We have come to the Church Age end, and all of heaven leans over
the banisters to view the nighttime births
You were made for this moment in time; you have arrived at Your
destiny; your roots will hold you without fail
So, climb high above the snake line, and soar in the waves of God's
Holy breath; it's time to move and set sail
Nothing will hinder you, if you've guarded the truth and bound it
about your neck; it is your anchor to endure
Let your body be sanctified with baptism in Jesus' name, and be
filled with His Spirit, that your heart will be pure
The shofar is about to sound and your wings will take flight; it
could be any moment, day or even at night
Keep the Lord Your God in your soul, your eyes on the skies, and
your eternal goal in clear and perfect sight
The groom is ready to come and whisk away His bride; the time is
ripe, and the earth feels prophecy's pull
Make the Bible your heart's desire, the Lord your eternal cry, and
be sure your lamps are oiled, ready and full
He's coming for His own, and He's filling His earth with Spirit
upon all flesh; it's the menu of this final season
If you're left behind; it will be because the Word was not obeyed,
your heart strayed; you will have no good reason
Seek the Lord with hunger and follow Him closely; it's no time to
play with your soul; it's the darkest hour
Look up for your redemption draweth nigh; be filled with His Spirit
and be endued with the Holy Ghost power
Ah, you'll find that it's what you've been looking for throughout
your life; it brings Joy, and the heart sings
The Christian is all about the Truth, the foundation of apostles and
prophets; Jesus Christ gives us "Roots and Wings!"

"Sounds Of Prophecy"

“And so we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well
to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and
the morning star arises in your hearts.”
(2 Peter 1:19)

Prophet Isaiah

The words, notes, unctions, fingers, forcefulness, power and sounds of "Prophecy" are all through the Bible, from the beginning to the end.  Why?  Because Almighty God, The Holy One of Israel, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, The Creator, Jesus Christ our Lord is prophetic, and never makes mistakes!  A Prophet is one who speaks for God by divine inspiration.  There is only One who is "Divine" and that is The Lord Jesus Christ and He IS a Prophet!  He does not leave His children comfortless, without hope, without instruction and guidance, without "light."  So, He moved through the Prophets of the old testament to exhort, warn, foretell, predict, confirm, and reveal the truth to Nations and individuals by the inspiration of a Holy God.  The people had a voice from God; it was then, and it is very prevalent today, the "Sound of Prophecy."

Nearly one-third of all scripture is devoted to prophecy.  Only four of the 66 Books of the Bible are without prophecy; they are the Books of Ruth, the Song of Solomon, the Book of Philemon, and the Book of 3rd John.  Even Jude, the shortest Book in the Bible mentions prophecy; it refers to Enoch and the second coming of the Lord.  Out of the Old Testament's 23,210 verses, 6,541 contain predictive material, over twenty-eight percent.  Out of the mighty New Testament's 7,914 verses, 1,711 contain predictive material, which is twenty-one percent.  The Apostle Peter spoke about prophecy like this:

You say, "I'm just trying to make a living and make it from day to day; what does Bible prophecy have to do with me?"  Glad you asked  ...  just about everything!  Huh?  Don't you want to know what's going on in the Middle East, and what that has to do with your life?  Wouldn't you like to know what the Bible says will happen?  Don't you wonder where all this terrorist news will lead us?  Wouldn't you like to know that the Bible predicts, gives reason, and explains what will happen?  We have a road map of the future from the God from whom all plans originate.  The world is His and He knows the end from the beginning; there are no surprises before the One who knows all.  And, He wants us to know, so we will be prepared and ready for His coming.

“So that your trust may be in the LORD; I have instructed you today, even you.
Have I not written to you excellent things of counsels and knowledge,
That I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth, that you may answer
words of truth to those who send to you?”
(Proverbs 22:19-22)

When the News headlines match the Bible, and we do know for a fact that the Holy Bible is the full truth, and they're "matching" more and more day by day, Look Up!  Are men and women of God used by God to prophesy of things coming upon the earth?  Is everyone, who has a "Word" from God, to be believed?  Whom should we trust?  How can we know?  Does the Lord want Prophets to speak for Him?  “And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, let them show these to them. Do not fear, nor be afraid; have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one." (Isaiah 44:7-8)  God does want it and desire it, but He is the God of prophecy and all prophecy must come from Him.  Peter explains, "But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing,
but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
(Matthew 7:15)

We would be amiss if we did not bring to light and address those called "false prophets."  The Bible said they would arise in the last days and they have, and they are arising.  (Matthew 24:11)  "For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible." (Matthew 24:24)  The Book of I John 4:1 says "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."  False prophets often deny the virgin birth, life, death, and the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ; they do not teach the doctrine of the Apostles and Prophets in the Bible, as stated in Acts 2, Acts 10, and Acts 19, where the Church began.  Matthew Henry said it this way, about false prophets, in an important way: "Some part of their temper and conduct is contrary to the mind of Christ. Those opinions come not from God that lead to sin."  The father of lies is satan; it is extremely important to know someone's "fruits;" for we shall know them by their fruits, and a lying spirit hides in false prophets.

"Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was
to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care."
(1 Peter 1:10)

"Prophesy," holy ones moved by God, and lead us in the holy paths of righteousness; warn us and prepare us; exhort and enable us to grow in the knowledge and Word of truth; help us to follow the sound from the Holy One who sits on the throne, Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King.  O, Lord, show us the way through Your chosen ones; blot out the sounds of evil and lies; move us by Your Spirit and the true "Sounds of Prophecy."
