"Turning 13!"

"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at
the coming of the Son of Man."
(Matthew 24:37)

We're about to be teenagers!  Huh?  We're coming to the Year of 2013.  The dawning of the "teens."  A time of changes in the "body," a time of almost adult but "not," a time of not being able to determine the results of decisions because the brain is still not fully developed yet, a time of wild and sometimes irrational behavior, a time of development and temptation, a time of beginning to become, a time of yearning to be understood  ...  "Turning 13!"

"The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the
earth had become, and that every inclination of the
thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time."
(Genesis 6:5)

In Spiritual terms, we are embarking on the endtimes or the last days, tumultuous and misunderstood days, riotous and terror-filled days, changes in the Church body to accommodate Joel 2:28's Spirit upon all flesh days, the devil has little time so he unleashes it all days, the "where is the sign of His coming?" days, evil running rampant days, marrying and given in marriage days, eating, drinking, and revelling days  ...  just before the Rapture of the Church days  ... or as my Pastor so eloquently stated, "changes in the body to get ready for birth" (Kenneth Phillips)

How was it in the days of Noah?  Clarke's Commentary says, "They spent their time in rapine, luxury and riot."  Sounds like today, doesn't it?

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,
but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of
the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they
knew nothng about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away.
That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."
(Matthew 24: 36-39)

It is no doubt that we are in the endtimes; the days in which we are living are as Noah's days  ...  parading in the streets for same sex marriage; legalization of mind-altering drugs; vulgarity is a norm, nudity is an acceptable commodity on television, in movies, on billboards; laws being passed that are against the laws of Almighty God; the economy of the entire world is moving to a one-world currency; there is much talk of the "end of time"  ...

When will it be the last straw that rises up to a Holy God and He "no longer strives with man?"  " And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man ..." (Genesis 6:3)  It will come, but earthlings are blessed, because the Lord Jesus Christ is long-suffering, and not willing that ANY should be lost or perish.  So, He calls to His creation with love and arms open wide  ...  the door is still open; the Blood of Christ is still flowing to cover the sins of man; the avenue of forgiveness still welcomes ALL who have sinned and seek to be forgiven; the Spirit of God still fills hungry souls.

End of the world?  Not yet  ...  there's still today  ...  What should we do?  Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you and your children, as many as are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.  (Acts 2:38-39)  There will be an end when the Lord will remove the righteous to judge the unrighteous  ...  the Rapture of the Church; we shall be caught away with the Lord in the air.  Don't put it off; come to Jesus Christ while there's still time, because  ...  Behold He comes  ...  and we're "Turning 13"  ...

"Thy Word Will Not Return Void"

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
(Isaiah 55:11)

"...His word is in my heart like a fire,
a fire shut up in my bones.  I am weary of
holding it in; indeed, I cannot."
(Jeremiah 20:9)

Thy Word, O Lord, is like fire shut up in my bones!  One can read the Bible hundreds of times, and each time, something new comes forth in the mind and spirit of the reader.  It is The greatest book ever written; there is no situation that can occur in life that does not have an answer in the Word of God, the Holy Bible.  It was written as men were moved on by the Holy Ghost and fire ...  there's that fire again  ...

Your word is lamp to my feet and a light to my path.  Psalm 119:105
Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law.  Psalm 119:18

I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.  Psalm 119:16
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  John 1:1

"And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently
unto my commandments which I command you this day,
to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all
your heart and with all your soul, That I will give you
the rain of your land in this due season, the first rain
and the latter rain, and thou mayest gather in thy corn,
and thy wine, and thine oil."
(Deuteronomy 11:13-14)

Thank You, Lord!  Your Word gives hope, peace, love, comfort and prophecy!  We know what will happen to Israel from Your Word; we know the headlines before the hot presses print it; we know the end of all things; we have the blessed assurance of "escape" for the Christians; and we know what will happen to the accuser of the brethren.  We "leap" with the Joy Your Word brings  ...  Ah, Your Word, Oh Lord, is our most valuable treasure!

The Bible shows us the way to repentance: heartfelt, sincere, and sorrowful, a complete repentance to receive the Glory of the Lord, and be filled with His Spirit and speak in tongues as His spirit gives us the utterance.  Then, we are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2, Acts 8, Acts 10, Acts 19); it's all in Your Word, Lord Jesus, and we obey.

"For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and
floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my Spirit upon
thy seed, and my blessing upon thy offspring."
(Isaiah 44:3)

When the Lord Jesus Christ is your Savior, you will never thirst again!  "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:37-39) "This spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive," says verse 39.  Being filled with the Holy Ghost is refreshing, full of Glory, Joy unspeakable, beautiful beyond reason and explanation  ... It is rivers of living water  ...

Our lives are enlightened by the Holy Word of God!  Without it, we would not know the unshakable faith of Noah, building an Ark for 120 years amidst scoffing, laughter and ridicule, but he kept right on hammering; we would not know about the steel-eyed prophetic Moses, pointing and proclaiming "Let my people go;" we would have no knowledge of the ecstasy of words in the psalms of David, or his precision slingshot fired stone to the invisible bullseye on the head of Goliath; our faith would not be encouraged and boosted by the destined romance of Ruth and Boaz.

Without Your Word, O Lord, we would not know what "You have come to the kingdom for such a time as this" means from the book of Esther; Solomon's wisdom would be an unknown unfathomed pearl; Job's suffering ash heap and God's question to him, "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the world?" would be a direly missed exposition of courage under fire; we would never know of Daniel's slumber party with a den of growling hungry lions; we would have no "Don't Give Up" writings of profound words from the jail cell pen of mighty Paul; and we would have missed John's vision of "our future" while he was on the Isle of Patmos  ...  Ah, the Word of Almighty God  ... we love it; we cling to it; we absorb it; we digest it; we eat it  ...  we give it  ...

Your Word, Dear Lord, will not return void!

"Naturally Amazing!"

"For as we have many members in one body,
and all members have not the same office: So we,
being many, are one body in Christ, and every
one members one of another."
(Romans 12:4-5)

interpreting tongues

The gifts of Romans Chapter 12 are the "natural gifts" that every person in earth was born with.  The gifts that are noted in Chapter 12 of the Book of I Corinthians are Spiritual gifts obtained when we are filled with the Holy Ghost and speak with other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives us utterance.  The "natural gifts" in Romans is WHO you are as a person, how God made you  ... When we understand that, we suddenly know WHY we became an Accountant, or why we are a teacher, or why we are a President, or why we became a nurse or a missionary.  This is so interesting, because you finally realize why you think the way you do, why you do the things you do, and the reason you are drawn to certain things in life, such as occupations, interests, hobbies, etc.

"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
(I Corinthians 12:27)

Would the eye say to the ear, "I don't need you?"  Or, would the hands say to the feet, "I can do without you?"  We all operate together as the body of Christ in the Church of our Lord.  Some may have several gifts or all of the gifts, and others may have predoninantly one of the gifts.  But, we are all moving together as God created us to be One body in Him.  The little voice within that has told you all of your life that you are "no good," that you are worth "nothing," that you don't have a place in this world, is a LIE! You were made by God and you possess at least one of those natural gifts listed in Romans above.  As such, YOU are very important to the work of God in the earth today.  Your natural gift is distinctly YOU, and even though there may be other teachers, others with mercy, others with prophecy; YOU present it with your gift that is solely YOU, and no one else is just like it.  That makes YOU very precious, indeed!  The Lord poured His creative gift into you from the womb; you are fearfully and wonderfully made!

"Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully
to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body."
(Ephesians 4:25)

We must use our natural God-given gifts to reach out to one another in love.  My Pastor's mother used to say, "Everybody's just a little bit pitiful."  It's true.  We all need help sometimes; we all reach a place where we need a shoulder; the trials of life leave us grasping for help in prayer many times; and there's nothing like a brother or sister who is there for us when we need them.  Whatever country or Nation in the world you are reading this from is not too far that my prayers can't reach you, that my love and the love of PromiseLand Church can't reach you; your cares are our prayers!  We weep together and we rejoice together; we dance together and shout Hallelujah together; we pray together and fast together; we climb mountains together in faith and we hold each other in the valleys  ...  We are a family, the body of Jesus Christ!

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers; to prepare God's people for works of service,
so that the body of Christ may be built up, till we all come in the unity of
the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ."
(ephesians 4:11-13)

"Built Up" are key words.  It's so that our joy may be full, that our faith may endure, that our walk may be secure, that our ministries may be bearing, that our knowledge of Christ is poured from vessel to vessel, and that the world may observe "our love one for another" and magnify our Lord Jesus Christ.  It's all about Him, living in us, reaching out to them, bringing them to Him, getting ready for Him, and taking them with us!  Where? To meet Him  ...  in the clouds on a day very soon when He will come for His Bride and remove us from earth, while He judges those who had not the love of Christ, nor love one for another.  Rejoice, therefore, in the Lord of your salvation and in the body of Christ, with whom you and I will live for all eternity!

YOU, my dear brother and sister, are "Naturally Amazing!"
