"Soaring In God's Wisdom"

The Mind of Christ beckons us to rise to portals of glory and auras beyond; it's a place of worship, untold.  We climb the mountain and sit on the aerie in the misty fog of wonder, as we wait for our Lord, to behold. It's so silent and mysterious, this place above earth's noise; it's a place of His presence, never entered before. So, we wait on the crag and contemplate His Word, as we venture into the realms of unknown, and we soar.

It's a covenant place, a Shekinah dwelling where angels fly and
 humans die, as flesh yields to the Spirit
The praying groaners go there in times of love's moonlight and His
 beckoning whispers, while others tend to fear it

For those who shy away from The omnipotent God, it's too lonely and quiet, and the time required is long.  But, for those who will be brave, who are called and chosen, it's the Eden of an encounter, and a lilting song.  "Come Away," cries our Lover, "and sojourn a while with Me in high places; we will talk a while and discover."  We've never been here before; it's a trek past time to a reality not visited, taking our mortal minds time to recover.

We worship while we're there, in new ways and styles, because we
 have entered the mind of Christ, in new praise
A song never sung, words never uttered, awakenings never felt;
 how can we ever return to earth from this holy haze

Ah, the glorious splendor, the infinite wonders, and the beauty;  it is creative worship of an ethereal holy nature.  It cannot be described, this place of Holy's; it's "in earth as it is in heaven," a divine and angelic nomenclature.  We don't want to leave; the brush of angels' wings draws us to stay, and the songs of tongues pull our minds to linger.  It's like writing on tablets, these words that filter our open minds; they're like lyrics of glory written with God's finger.

We have Awakened to a new chord and a new phrase; it's higher
 than earth, and it waltzes on clouds of ecstasy
No one has graced this place; it's reserved for the Rapture ready;
it's clothed with velvet, and it's robed in majesty

Through the portals of space, we have risen to the Mind of Christ
in new words of obeisance fit for His kingdom
We have surprised our Savior, our Lord and King, as we hunger
and thirst by "Soaring In God's Wisdom."

"Memorial Day"

You fought for our freedoms, and you battled for
the rest of us in need
We owe you our all, as you gave yourselves for a
cause that made you bleed
Never will we forget the price you paid with your
lives, your bodies, and your souls
You surrendered not to enemies, but to the cause for
democracy, and to make us whole
You watched as your fellow soldiers fell and died, in
your weary fighting arms
It makes us surrender our prayers to the living and
 past heroes, offering themselves to harm
The gunfire, explosions, the screams and resounding
echoes, of soldiers crying out
It's a haunting of one's dreams and a torture of the mind,
  a thing called war, a terrifying bout
But "fight on" was your motto, your determination,
and your honored creed
For you were a soldier, and soldiers never quit; they
march and fight; and never secede
We remember your tired and aching arms, as we prayed
for your safety, and your success
We're so thankful for you, today, rendering all you had
for us; we cannot express
To those who died, you are lifted up as the embodiment of
courage, in each and every way
You're the gold standard of our land in value and in
honor, on this "Memorial Day."

"God Is In Control!"

"But he that shall endure to the end,
the same shall be saved."
(Matthew 24:13)

Fight, Warriors of the Most High God; swing that sword with
power, and fight for the cause
The Lord Jesus Christ is our strength; His spirit goes before us,
we need not fear the devil's claws
We are Warriors in earth, fighting for truth and the gospel,
even as Warriors in the heavens intercede
Angels fight to bring our answers, battling fiercely in the second
heaven, with flashes of lightning we see
Don't Give Up, weary Warrior, for the sands are filling the
hourglass, and time is winding down
Keep your eyes on the prize, a home with Jesus in the skies,
and the coveted soul winner's crown
Reap the harvest and fight the opposition, for he knows the
time is short, and he's on the loser's end
So, hold your head up, Saint, because the tormentor has an
appointment, with the flames to descend
We know we win; it's just a matter of the mind, holding fast to
the Name, the Word, and the Blood
Remember, when attacks begin that it's because the Glory's
about to fall; the Lord is coming like a flood
The battle is not ours; it's the Lord's, with His bared arm, that
Isaiah said would stretch before the Nations
We must stand our ground, be strong in the Lord and the power
of His might, and strongly guard our station
Every soldier has his place, his position, and his orders; we
zoom in on the target, it's the world of lost souls
And we fight on, knowing the reins are held by the Master;
He sets up, tears down, and has the controls
Those streaks in the night sky are glints from Angels' swords, as
they wield and rule the second heaven
They're fighting for us against satan, his imps, and the plots
and plans of the demonic hellions
We are not alone in this war; our Savior made provision, to
protect and defend us from all evil
Our prayers rise as torpedoes of blood-bought fire, and they
paint the skies like a canvas on an easel
The war will be strong and hard, but the victory's already won;
and the march of the Church is uniting
It's a new movement around the world, as Nations meet the
Savior, His redemption, and His love so inviting
The sheaves are gathering, and the harvest is greater than ever
before; we're heading for streets of gold
Rejoice Warriors; Joy comes in the morning, and the Lion of
Judah created the world; "God Is In Control!"

"Night Vision"

"For now we see through a glass, darkly;
but then face to face: now I know in part;
but then shall I know even as also I am known."
(I Corinthians 13:12)

We must keep perspective in this time of a shaking world, a shaking economy, a shaking of spiritual things and End time prophecy.  We must remember that this is not all there is.  As my Pastor has said many times; we only see half of the rainbow here; over there we will see the other half.  We will know all the answers by and by; we'll know the why's and the wherefores; we'll understand the Master's plan.  So, in this End time of severe and harsh uncertainty regarding everything in our lives, we must be able to see through the night, beyond the night; we must see through the eyes of God; we must see with the mind of Christ; we must have "Night Vision."

Barnes' Notes states, "Darkly - 'In a riddle.'  The word means a riddle; an enigma; then an obscure intimation. In a riddle, a statement is made with some resemblance to the truth; a puzzling question is proposed, and the solution is left to conjecture. Hence, it means, as here, obscurely, darkly, imperfectly .... The ancient Egyptian mirrors were dark and difficult to have a clear reflected image.  Compared with heaven, our knowledge here much resembles the obscure intimations in an enigma compared with clear statement and manifest truth."  The Bible is our truth to help us make it through, to help us endure to the end  ...  We are given clarity of many things, such as the Rapture of the Church, the great and terrible Tribulation period, the millennium which is the thousand years of peace.  But, even those things, we don't know some of the fine and intricate details; that's why we walk by faith.  Faith is seeing through a "glass darkly."

"And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;"
(Job 19:26)

We know the story of Job's suffering; his children were all killed, his servants, his cattle and herds, and then from head to foot, he broke out in terrible boils  ...  And, here he sat, while his wife said, "Curse God and die."  But, Job told her that she spoke as a foolish woman, and in his nine months of suffering, he did not charge Almighty God foolishly, not one time.  He kept his perspective  ... He realized what we must understand, that after this skin of ours, this flesh we are in, dies, we shall live on in the spirit with our God.  We shall behold Him in the Glory of His throne and where He is, we will be also!  Hallelujah!  Matthew Henry's commentary says it beautifully:

"With what pleasure holy Job enlarges upon this! May these faithful sayings be
engraved by the Holy Spirit upon our hearts. We are all concerned to see that the
root of the matter be in us. A living, quickening, commanding principle of grace
in the heart, is the root of the matter; as necessary to our religion as the root of the
 tree, to which it owes both its fixedness and its fruitfulness. Job and his friends
differed concerning the methods of Providence, but they agreed in the root of the
 matter, the belief of another world."

It may be dark in our current world, and we have so many things that are on our horizon, one-world currency, one-world government, and the constant threat of terrorism, but if we have Vision, if we can stand on the Word of God and what He has promised, while the tears stream down our faces, if we can just be like Job, and say, "In my flesh, I shall see God."  You say, "What did Job mean by that, because his flesh was being eaten away, and when we die, our flesh will decay from the body?"  He meant that "from his renewed body," as the starting point of vision, because we will have a NEW body in heaven, and in our new body, our new immortal body, we shall see God.

We see in part and we know in part now, but it will all make sense by and by.  The trials, the deserts, the brooks, the waiting, the sufferings, the heartaches  ... they will all have a final answer when we are able to see clearly  ...  when we get to the other side.  We will see the four and twenty elders, the throne of God, the Angels who guarded us and protected us day by day, our loved ones who went before us, the River of Life, the golden streets, the walls of jasper and the gates of pearl; but, before all that, we will head straight for the Holy One who whispered sweet nothings into our ears, who held us in His arms through the storms and trials, who watched us sleep and hovered with an aura of safety over us and our families, who lifted us up and filled us with His Spirit, who washed us clean with His blood shed for all mankind in waters of baptism in His name  ... and we will fall at His feet in worship to the One we so longed to see  ...  our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ!

We shall behold Him, our Lord and Savior, the King of Kings, the Alpha and Omega, our soon coming King, Jesus Christ, and we shall see Him face to face.  Hallelujah!  Hold on children, just a little bit longer, stand strong in the faith, win every soul you see, remember you're the Bride of Christ, and be sure to hold tight to that holy and mighty "Night Vision."
