Exodus 4:2

What Is In Your Hand?

Then the Lord said to him, "What is that in your hand?" "A staff," he replied.  It's interesting, isn't it, that God asks us what "we've" got, when we're asking Him to give to us?  God can take whatever we have, bless it, multiply it, and use it for His Glory.  The mindset of God is that He will not do for us what we can do for ourselves!  And, we always have something   ...  little is much in God's Hand!   "What is in your hand?"

God can take anything in your hand, your natural talents, your gifts, your knowledge and education, and use it for His Glory, and even perform miracles with it!  He is the Author and Finisher of our faith; everything is His if we belong to Him, and as such, it becomes an instrument from our hand to His to do with as He pleases  ...  and He is very pleased to use us and our offerings for His service.

"But take this staff in your hand so you can
perform miraculous signs with it."
(Exodus 4:17)

It was not the staff that had the power; it was God who had the power!  What we dedicate to Him for His use; He can and often does perform miracles with it!  Everything we have in our hand that we place in His hand, becomes a "miracle waiting to happen!"  Our homes, given to Him for services to reach the lost, our cars driven to pick up souls for Church, the pots of stew stirred by our hand for the homeless, and the voice He gave and which we give back to Him in worship, explode in power and perform miracles all around us!  Miracles are something only God can do  ...  and some miracles occur in the heart and soul  ...  they are still miracles nonetheless!

What is in your hand?  Maybe you are one who blows the shofar, or the trumpet in Zion.  Perhaps you are used in prophecy; blow your trumpet  ...  do not be held back by peer pressure, political systems, fear of retaliation, the itching ears of selfish "I want my own way" congregations, money or fame; the world today must have legitimate, Holy, clear and concise, pure-hearted, God-sent, timely and pertinent, "Thus saith The LORD!"

What is in your hand?  If you have the talent and ability to make money, give it, pour out the waters of monetary blessings on a parched present day Church!  Water the altars of mercy with the commodity required to reach the lost.  Your treasure will be multiplied back to you as you release it from your hand to God's hand.  You could be responsible for millions of souls, just by your gift of giving to the kingdom.  God has already been dealing with you about it; let it go  ...  You could affect Nations coming to God; You could speed up the coming of the Lord, because the "Bride" sets the wedding date  ...  Be the hand that reaches a hand that moves THE Hand!

What is in your hand?  If you are in the Church, a repentant Christian, filled with the Holy Ghost, and baptized in the lovely name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the world is in your hand!  You say, "I have a family and we're struggling; how can I be so concerned with the whole world?"

It's called "Vision!"  We are saved to save others!  And, those others are: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  (Acts 1:8)  That pretty well covers the world!  We must be like Jesus Christ our Lord, and that includes His "eyesight," His mental picture of the creation He formed by His hand, and who are dying every day ...  without Him!

What is in your hand?  The truth!  The Nations of the world need the truth!  Only "the truth" sets us free!  There is only ONE God; His name is the Lord Jesus Christ!  He died a torturous death for the sins of the whole world; He rose again and lives forevermore to set men free!  He does that by His Spirit, His Word and His blood shed for all mankind on a bloody cross.  "Repent, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you, your children, and as many as are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."  (Acts 2:38-39)

Give to the world, by the blessing of your own hand.  Jesus washed the feet of His disciples; it was the humblest of deeds, the most beautiful of all acts of servitude  ...  And, He was the Creator of all things; He was God in the flesh, kneeling before the dust He formed into man by His own Hand and He washed their feet ...  He held man in His Hand one more time  ...

What is in your hand?
