Goin' fishin'!

"And the gospel must first be published
among all nations."
(Mark 13:10)

You say, "I don't think we ought to look like that guy to win souls."  Hey, I've done some fishin' in my time, and it's not a dainty, clean, prim sport.  At least the kind of fishin' I did wasn't.  We had a boat, but it wasn't a big fancy one, and dealing with blood bait was rather gross in my mind; you end up rather smelly, dirty and grungy by the end of the day.  I'm still using "blood" bait; the blood of Jesus Christ, my Lord!  But, it's the purest, sweetest, most precious bait of all, the Blood of Jesus Christ that washes away the sins of the world.  The bottom line?  You gotta' get your hands dirty to fish properly!  The Apostle Paul said, "I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.”  What that means is that our preconceived ideas about "people" must go, our outlook on things must widen; we must think in global ways; we must extend our vacabulary to other Nations, kindreds, and tongues; our comfort zone is over  ...  Huh?  You'll see  ...

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached
in the whole world as a testimony to all nations,
and then the end will come."
(Matthew 24:14)

Do we need to learn more about other cultures and other languages?  Should we learn to like other types of food?  Is it necessary to read about other customs and religions?  We do whatever Almighty God calls us to do in order to win the world to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  But, we must LOVE truth, bind it about our necks, and be certain of the One in whom we believe, the Lord Jesus Christ and His saving grace.  I was trying to witness to a lady once who was obsessed with cats, so I read everything I could about cats, so that we would have a familiarity of interests and conversation.  It worked, because she was drawn to me, and she felt that I was interested in her and her life, and I really was interested in her; it was not fake; so she was willing to listen to me about my life and Jesus Christ, my Lord.  That's what it's all about  ...  we enlarge our tents; we grow to embrace; we humble ourselves to increase ourselves; we reach out to draw in; we love to save; we cast out the net to gather in the harvest  ...  If we have the love of Jesus Christ within us, we can't help but love the world  ...

"Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,
wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and
the elements shall melt with fervent heat?"
(2 Peter 3:12)

The end of time is upon us.  I'm not the only one saying it; it's being said everywhere, and those in the Spirit can feel it.  People all over the world, in every Nation, are coming to Jesus Christ in great numbers.  Why?  The Lord is drawing the honest hearted; He's gathering in His own, before He judges the earth.  Judgment is coming!  Before judgment, God always removes the righteous, as He did with Noah and his family, and as He will do with His Church, His bride.  Planet earth feels it; the heavens are restless; earth is rocking and reeling; even the animals sense it.  What is it?  It is the screeching of the gangplank to the Ark being slowly cranked, slowly closing, until finally  ...  there's a loud bang and it's shut!  Huh?  "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Lord."  People are eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage; Sin is rampant; laws are being passed daily that are contrary to God's laws  ...  it's like God's face is being slapped with this vulgar indecent law, slapped with that parade of debauchery in His holy face, slapped with evil and pornographic images even in commercials now, slapped with filth of every kind  ...  When will He say, "ENOUGH!"

"They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised?
Ever since our fathers died,   everything goes on as it has since
 the beginning of creation."
(2 Peter 3:4)

They are saying it now.  What?  It is their favorite question for this hour; "Where is the sign of His coming?"  I heard a well known reporter and newscaster say it just recently, those very words!  The signs are all around us, the increase in inclement weather, the increase in terror throughout the world, blasphemy, a rise and openness of Sin, and multitudes all over the world coming to Jesus Christ, receiving His Spirit and speaking in  tongues, being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.  These are signs that He is coming  ...  The Truth is setting the Nations free, and setting the world on fire with the gospel of Jesus Christ!  The Ark of safety, meaning the truth of God's Word for this hour, is filling up; the gospel is being published and preached all over the world  ...  and then  ...  the end shall come  ...

Fishin' is good all over the world:
