"A New Thing"

"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall

spring forth; shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness,

and rivers in the desert."

(Isaiah 43:19)

The cracked, dry ground of our sometimes desert

existence, feels a new flow coming

It's the Word of the Lord erupting with power, and

wonder from depths of dawning

Spring forth, O, rivers in the wilderness, pour out

from your portals of wisdom

For it's been dry too long; the powdery dust yearns

for the mystery, of the watery prism

Come, Lord Jesus, in majestic wonder and show

us Your Glory, in holy illumination

It is Your forte to expound the universe, with an

exhibition of splendorous elaboration

The lonely desert sands of our souls, seek the

footprint of the Holy pundit

Let Your rivers, O Lord, overflow us, until we're

glowing, powerful, and "Son" lit

It's the end of time, the season and bloom, for

Your Church to rise and soar

Just make our way on a new road, with new

understanding, and a new door

We have learned the treasures of the barren

land, and we're ready now

Spring up, O well, and saturate our spirits,

with the waters of Isaiah's vow

You'll make a way in the wilderness, and

the rivers in the desert You'll bring

Because we're readying for the kingdom, Lord, 

and You're doing "A New Thing."
