"Fear God, Love God, Serve God": "All Flesh"

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh ..." (Joel 2:28) What a glorious happening that will be! Can you imagine people on every street corner, shopping centers, restaurants, office buildings, post offices, back yards, News Networks ... everywhere ... stopping, lifting their arms in worship, trembling in the presence of a descending God, their wondering lips quivering as tongues of fire flow from their mouths, and they begin speaking in a language they never learned, as the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ gives them utterance? It could happen that way, or it could happen one by one, Nation after Nation, Church after Church, country after country ... until everyone is filled ... "All Flesh!"

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached

in the whole world as a testimony to all nations,

and then the end will come."

(Matthew 24:14)

It's a well thought out plan; and it's the great commission to the Church to cover the earth with the One thing that brings peace to the hearts of men, the One thing that saves and delivers, the One thing that brings Joy unspeakable and full of Glory, ... the "Gospel" of the ONE who holds the world in His hands, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came for one purpose, to save and redeem the souls of all mankind. He did it; the Word became flesh and dwelt among us; He was nailed to a cross, shed His blood to remit the sins of "all flesh," and rose again the third day. He is alive forevermore ... but now what? It's up to you and me ...

"So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing

by the word of God. But I say, have they not heard?

Yes, verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their

words unto the ends of the world."

(Romans 10:17-18)

Their words went to the ends of the world! The door is open, and we, the children of God, the faith forces, or as people I worked with used to call us, "the God Squad," are coming. We didn't mind being called the God Squad; and they respected us enough to ask us to pray for them when they were sick or needed help. Thank You, Lord. We live in a hurting world; everywhere we look, people have illnesses, job losses, storm tragedies, children issues, family crises, and they want somebody to make it all right. There is ONE who whispers sweet peace, and underneath are His everlasting arms ... we tell them about Him, the Lord Jesus Christ. He fills with His Spirit, speaks to storms, puts coins in fishes mouths, multiplies food, makes mud into eyeballs, and raises the dead! He IS, and He "will be" for You!

"Hear my cry, O God, attend unto my prayer. From the end

of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed,

lead me to the rock that is higher than I."

(Psalm 61:1-2)

There is only ONE who is higher, who hears and answers our prayers. He is what the entire world is searching for ... even if they don't know it. Herein, is the problem with all mankind; we are covered with "flesh." The flesh wars against the spirit, but the one we feed the most is the one that is strongest. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. We have lived to see the age that the "flesh" of every nation, kindred, and tongue are craving answers. Governments have failed them; dictators have crumbled before them; everyone around them is screaming as loud as they can; they're craving a leader, and they have nowhere to turn ... it's time to look up ... to Jesus Christ!

The Lord Jesus Christ can give you peace in the midst of your chaos, riots, storms, and trials. Call out to Him ... He longs for you; His comfort is your answer; His Word is your anchor; and His love is your sustenance. There is no one like Him; His love will surround you, enfold you, and hold you ... just ask ...

"And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all

mankind together will see it, for the mouth of the

LORD has spoken."

(Isaiah 40:5)

This is translated by some to read, "all flesh shall 'see' the salvation of God," speaking of the coming Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah 52:10, my favorite scripture, says it even clearer, "The Lord hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God." To "bare" one's arm is an oriental term, which means to prepare for battle. They wore large sleeves in those days, and one quick move of the hand up the arm could move the sleeve out of the way, indicating the warrior was ready to fight. The Lord Jesus Christ fights our battles, goes before us and prepares the way, and when we belong to Him, we have nothing at all to fear in life; He is our Rock!

How will we do it? How will we reach the whole world with the gospel of Jesus Christ? How will every Nation come to know His mercy and His grace, His loving kindness and gentle touch? How will His Spirit consume and water the earth with power and wonder? How will Acts 2:38 live in every home, every heart, every Nation, and the whole world? It will happen one by one, two by two ... 12 and then seventy ... homes turned into chapels ... ordinary people becoming ministers of the gospel of the Holy Almighty Lord Jesus Christ ... until ....
