"Covered"

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall

 abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

(Psalm 91:1)

Oh, the secret place of the most High is where we long to be, in

 the shelter of Your arms and abiding love

You cover us with a blanket of feathers, protection from the winds 

and storms, it's like the softness of a dove

Our Lord and King, the One in whom we trust is near; You never 

leave nor forsake us, on this we depend

For the Bible says so, the inspired Word of God, the scroll of who 

 You are and what You think, the oracle, the penned

Be it unto us, O Lord, Your Word, Your Blood, and Your Name;

 we walk in Your precepts, and in Your command

We know that it's for our best, that we must repent, be baptized, 

 and filled with Your Spirit; it's what You planned

Because the secret place is reserved for Your own, those dwelling 

 in Your love, and to whom heaven is home

We will assure our ticket on the train to glory, headed to that Holy

heavenly paradise, and never more to roam

You are the Great I AM and from whom all blessings flow; Your 

 Spirit is shalom; we have received and we know

Like the shadow of Your presence, we hear your whispers in the  

 night, like droplets of rain in a sweet echo

We sit at Your feet in wonder, contemplating Your greatness, Your 

 aura, and the vastness of the Holy You

Give us Your wisdom, we pray, and let us delve into Your secrecy,

and get a glimpse, an ethereal breakthrough

Take us, Lord, to Your secret place, so beyond our finite minds

 and thoughts, to that ecstasy or eternal chateau

It's where we yearn to be, You know; it's with our Almighty God, so

 close that we're Your image, in your shadow

Oh, Your sweet glory surrounds us like soft feathers, and descends

on us in times of our need, like a holy hover

Your love holds us and keeps us looking up for the Lover of our

 souls; in You, we're forever safe and "Covered."
