"Covenant Sign"

"I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a
covenant between me and the earth."
(Genesis 9:13)

"And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a
sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about
the throne, in sight like unto an emerald."
(Revelation 4:3)

He that sits upon the throne is robed in a prism of Glory, a
 spectrum of hues beyond knowing
It's an ethereal banquet of colors, emanating from the Holy
One, dressed in ecstasy's clothing

Heaven's throne is the place of wonder; our minds cannot
conceive its infinite majestic aura
It's a splendor above words, in the realms of magnificence,
a canvas of a heavenly omnipotent genre

The elders bow in obeisance in the light of the Savior's presence;
Oh, the glory of His beauty, to behold
It's the other side of the rainbow, our home beyond the stars,
a paradise of crystal reflections untold

Our Lord God promised a bow in the clouds, a covenant to
earth of never again destruction by flood
And now, the rains bring the promise, glowing in stripes of
color, like the depth of our Lord's shed blood

We only see half of the bow hovering earth; we'll understand
the other half, when we rise to meet Him
And we'll sing Holies for eternity, surrounded by the bow, all
the angels, a new song, and a new hymn

What is the image of a full bow, we ask, as we stare into the
heavens, our hearts filled with amazement
Let us see, O Lord, reveal the portals of glory, and throw
open the mighty throneroom casements

Thank You, Lord; we know it's a sign of your protection, that
You splash across our wispy skies
We need never be afraid, for in all our terrors, You send colors
of safety, like a striped palette to arise

It's like a feast spread across the sky, and You're bidding and
beckoning us to look up, come, and dine
"Come, my children," You seem to say, to draw us to Your love
portrayed in Your painting, of a "Covenant Sign."
