Zechariah 14:7

"Evening Light"

When the night is the darkest, there is a light!  Anyone who is afraid of the dark should meet up with the Lord Jesus Christ!  He is always a "light" in the darkness.  "But it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light."

"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness
of the firmament; and they that turn many to
righteousness, as the stars for ever and ever."
(Daniel 12:3)

Knowledge shall increase in the last days, and we are in the last days of the exploits of the Church before the Rapture!  Matthew 13:43 says, "Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.  He who has ears, let him hear."  Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, three of the seven spirits that are before the throne in Isaiah 11:2, and the three we should pray for and seek with all of our hearts, along with all of the seven spirits that are before the throne: Spirit of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord.

"The path of the righteous is like the first gleam
of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day."
(Proverbs 4:18)

This is the greatest time for the Church of the living God!  You say, "But, disaster is all around us, wars, floods, fires, inclement weather, riots, economic failures, and terrorist threats!"  Yes, but "at evening time it shall be light."  The light of the Lord brings knowledge (a way of escape), wisdom (something only God knows and He will reveal it to us), and understanding (spiritual illumination).  Therefore, we are not groping around in the dark, when we are children of the King!

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and he who wins souls is wise."
(Proverbs 11:30)

People are looking for light in the evening time, and the Church is the brightest light to be seen in any direction!  The honest hearted and hungry will find their way to the light, as the Gospel of Jesus Christ shines through us like a lighthouse in a dark, tormenting storm.  As we increase in wisdom, knowledge and understanding, the light of the Lord will overflow us, brightening every corner of our war-weary world, beckoning the "night travelers" to the comfort and warmth of the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus Christ our Lord.

"Many will be purified, made spotless and refined,
but the wicked will continue to be wicked.  None
of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise
will understand."
(Daniel 12:10)

In all of our seeking, we seek the wisdom of the Lord, and we pray for the honest hearts to see the light.  Not all will be saved, but we search for the many who have a heart to please Him and a mind to serve Him.  In the evening time, the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, Joel 2:28, and the Church will be there to take their hands and lead them further into Truth, and the Truth will set them free!

What an incredible time to be alive ... in the "Evening Light!"
