"In every teardrop there is a rainbow,
in every sigh there is a song."
(Pastor Kenneth Phillips)
They flow like rain in storms of the human, falling without shame
when the world and its woes take their toll
They are drops of liquid sorrow that force their way to the surface,
without any bidding, they come from the soul
Rather a release, they are, expressive in nature; they're tears from
crushed and broken spirits, coming without a call
Sometimes they arrive in times of Joy. just because they have a seat
of emotion and a time of arrival to their fall
All of us have known these little drops, that explode in silence from
hearts that are moved by circumstances untold
Heaven calls them "important" and bottles them for Revelation's
use; they will be poured out when prophecies unfold
What we don't see is the prism of rainbow colors that surround
these clear crystal globes of finite expression
It's called a rainbow, the covenant promise of God, His sign that it
will be alright; there's no need for depression
Fear not, little flock, The Shepherd wipes away all tears, and His
left hand is under our heads; He embraces us
We shall behold Him very soon now; we must lean on His Word,
and come face to face with Him and trust
Put away the despair, beloved one, and lift up your weary head, for
underneath are His loving arms, so don't cry
Reach up to The One who knows your name, and plan for the day
of His return, with "Maranatha" and a sigh
The Lord Your God will not leave you nor forsake you; cling to
Him with diligence and know that it won't be long
Soon, we'll see how those drops splashed to produce an eternal
crown, from souls with a "Teardrop and a Song."
