"The Road To Glory"

"And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother

for glory and for beauty."

(Exodus 28:2)

 

 

What does it mean to be used for God's Glory?  Does He require 

 a posture, a garment, or an essence?

Is there an entrance to His Glory, a climb to see His Vision, a 

 consecration to His greatest presence?

Does Almighty God search for the Simeon's and the Anna's?  Does He long for a present-day Moses?  Is there a soul in earth who will leave the crowd, wear the holy garment, and stand out with boldness?  Will today's world see a difference, and be drawn to the Holy?  Have we not heard that opposites attract?  Can the Lord find one who will go the extra mile to be Holy in body, soul, mind, spirit, and acts?  Are there really still Mary's, Abraham's, Levites, Paul's and Esther's?  Are there any who will awe the earth?  Do miracles flow from anointed hands and devils flee at the power of God, leaving only joy and mirth?  Are wonders manifested as God moves through mortals of higher callings, and those risen from the "dust?"  Do any stand in the gap with tear-stained cheeks, lifted hands and wobbling knees all bent and calloused?

Does anyone stare into the heavens, hoping for a glimpse of the 

 lover of all souls, and wait for His appearing?

Does our consecration bring Him closer, draw His attention, and 

 make us more honorable and endearing?

Will God choose a vessel that clings to Him in the valley, and climbs to reach Him on the mountain aerie?  Does He long for those to whom He can share His burdens, and know that His Vision, they will carry?  Will the David's come forth, and sing Him songs of love in the moonlight hours of early morn?  Will they stand for truth, obey His Word, and spread the Gospel, no matter the ridicule and scorn?

Are there warriors in the faith, armed with Word and power, to 

 bring deliverance to the world in this hour?

Can they separate themselves to see the Glory, move by the hand 

 of God, and operate in His dower?

 

Do we understand the depth of the Lord's question, "Where were you when I formed the foundation of the world?"  Do we think there was no plan when the stars were flung, the thunder roared, and the universe was hurled?  How deep is His love for mankind that He would die and bleed, and rise again, to finish it once and for all?  Can we not give Him our best, our love, ask His forgiveness, and come to Him with an answer to His call?

Who, among us, will lead the way in ultimate devotion, sacrifice, 

 and consummate dedication, to end the story?

Will there be a line of saints giving their all, laying aside the

 things of this world, to follow "The Road To Glory?
