"preach, Preach, PREACH!"

"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet
of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
(Isaiah 52:7)

John the Baptist

Where would any of us be without the "Preaching" of the Word of God?  It's not easy, you know, standing in the place of the omnipotent, Holy, Almighty God of heaven and earth, and saying, "Thus saith the Lord."  It must be done right, that is, it must be from a heart that prays, seeks, and fasts for those words, those unctions, those moves of the Spirit, those directional winds, those pulses of the One who said, "Where were you when I formed the foundation of the world?"  No, it's not your every day job; it's gut-wrenching, soul-flaying, heartbreaking, mind-bending, body-weakening, and spirit-wrenching for one who spends an entire life chasin' devils, warring against the second heaven, pullin' down strongholds, defendin' his flock by beatin' back the wolves, and dancin' in demon blood   ...  and doing it for a living!  To them, the ones with the Holy Ghost impetus and the dimensional depth, and the call to the World, it's more than a job.  But, there's a huge 'perk'  ...  Ah, to feel that Holy, power-surging, anointed, God-ordained power of the "PREACH!"

People thought John the Baptist was odd  ...  eating locusts and wild honey and preaching, "Prepare ye the way of the Lord!"  All through the ages, from the Prophets of old to the new testament Paul, the Word of God has gone forth, and when the preacher is anointed of God, it's powerful, cutting to the marrow of the bones, full of wisdom, stirring, shaking, and sends people to their knees.  So, You want to preach?  Think carefully.  If you do, and you want the depth of the God of the universe  ...  think carefully  ...  The ones who sincerely seek the face of God  ...  must endure to get to that place.  There are not a lot of men like Moses, Abraham, Noah, Paul, and John, or for that matter, Women  ... like Deborah, Miriam, Esther and Anna.  You don't see them a lot.  Why?  They're alone most of the time, out building an Ark of which they know not of, climbing a mountain to wait on a misty crag, rising early to obey orders that crush the soul, sitting in prison writing letters to churches, flailing about the desert shouting the coming of the Lord, prophesying with eyes aflame and fingers pointing, dwelling day and night in the temple in prayer and fasting, or going before the King unbidden facing no less than death.

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?"
(Romans 10:14)

It is the Word, the Holy Bible, that is sent forth to change the sinful heart, and when we obey the Word that is preached, and we repent, we are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we're filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues as the Spirit of God gives us utterance, then we become "born again," new creatures, with clean hearts, ready for the Lord's coming in the clouds, or the Rapture "catching away" of His Church.

Called to Preach?

The one who Preaches will understand this sequence of photos  ... the one who carries the burden, the one who weeps for the Nations, the one who paces the floor fighting the devils and protecting his sheep, the one who prays away the diseases and cancels the doctors' reports, the one who moves with the cloud by day and fire by night, the one who sees the faces of his sheep in the early morning hours in prayer, the one who loves Israel as Jesus Christ loves Israel, the one who prophesies from the fire shut up in his bones  ... the one who holds the world in trembling hands, as the Ambassador of the Lord God of the universe  ... in earth  ...

Lord Jesus, bless those with beautiful
feet, who carry the gospel in the portals
of their souls, and present it to a hungry
and dying world.  Bless them with health,
wealth to market Truth, and sustain them
in warfare.  Grant them mercy in all they
do to win the world for You.  Overshadow
and protect them, and all of their families
day by day.  Give them power over diseases,
demons, and all evil; grant them greater
things for this hour.  Surround them with
multitudes of angels to war with them for
the souls of all of mankind.  Amen.

Thank You, Lord, for Preachers of the Gospel!
