"Reapin' the Reapers"

"And the gospel must first be published among all nations."

(Mark 13:10)

It doesn't happen only once, you know, this sowing and reaping

occurs over and over from soul to soul

It's winning one to win another to reach the world for Jesus Christ,

and fulfill the timed heavenly roll

 

They're just waiting to be harvested, the lonely, hungry, and lost

in this shaky, rockin' and reelin' world

The hurting and hopeless are waiting for they know not what,

 but the gospel is their answer, to be unfurled

 

From seed to seed, the harvest is planted and reaped, as the clock

ticks down the moments to the end

It's like an hourglass of sand, this gathering of sheep in the fold

 of the Saints to be, preparing to ascend

 

Come home, ye strays of the fold, for you're the bride, and the  

 groom still holds you in His soul

Let not the cares of this life and the pleasures of the world, leave

you behind, the judgment to take its toll

 

We must all be reapers if we belong to the King; He's called us to 

 be His sickle, the harvest to bring

His arms are underneath the lost and the perishing; He longs for

their salvation, that to His heart they'll cling

 

The reapers must be strong in this hour of self and greed, for

for the enemy is busy, pouring out unbelief

All the more we should work faster and gather them quickly, so 

they'll be tuned to the trumpet, ready for the thief

 

Can we miss even one in our quest to reap the fields, for that one 

 may win millions, their gifts so concealed

They may be a Paul, just waiting for conversion, a destiny hidden

in the soul, and waiting to be revealed

 

His hands are open wide, not one to be forsaken; He knows what's 

 coming, and He longs for their escape

He's the Creator; if we just bring them to Him; He knows how to

mold them, and from the dust to reshape

 

To Jesus, each soul is so precious; we belong to Him in His eyes,

  and we're all considered "keepers"

As we move from brother to brother and sister to sister, we're

just planting and sowing, "Reapin' the Reapers."
