"EXPECTING!"

"The LORD is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him."
(Lamentations 3:25)

When we pray to the Lord fervently, we must "EXPECT" the answer! We have to believe that Almighty God hears us and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) You say, "But, I've waited so long for the answer."  Don't give up!  You could be moments away from Victory!  Faith is "expecting" that answer continually, believing and looking up for the blessing coming down, knowing that your help is nigh your doorway, and within your heart is an excited expectant posture of Hope!  How long do we pray?  Until  ... Believe and pray as a little child, and wait with JOY!

"Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because
of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out
wicked schemes.  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, it
leads only to evildoing.  For evildoers will be cut off, But those
who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land."
(Psalm 37:7-9)

Ah, if you wait, you will inherit the land!  That means, because we are the descendants of Abraham, we receive the blessings of Abraham; we are partakers with Him, of the promises of God.  So, rest, believe, don't fret, don't envy those who are evil and who seem to get many blessings, but trust in Your Lord, who desires that You prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. By the way, that word "rest" in the Hebrew is sometimes translated "Wait."  We're in this for the long haul; we didn't begin to quit; we ain't no ways tired; we shall reap if we faint not!  Praise Him, thank Him, worship Him, glorify Him!  You say, "But, it hasn't happened yet." Faith is seeing something done before it materializes.  Remember the Shunamite woman, who went to Elisha, because her son died of a heat stroke and lay dead on the bed at home  ...  and when asked if all was well with her, with her husband, and with her son, she replied, "It IS Well!"

"Cease striving (“be still”) and know that I am God …”
(Psalm 46:10)

The key word in the above scripture is "rapha" which means 'relax, become motionless, hang limp, let go.'  Take a free fall into the arms of God and "wait."  When God pulls the arrow out of the quiver and shoots it for the target, the answer comes quickly. We must remember that while we're waiting, we should be learning, growing, understanding "why" there is a wait.  Is He growing "us" or the one we're praying "for?"  Are conditions right for the answer?  Is there a bigger picture going on that constitutes the wait?  Would giving us the answer be the very best thing for us, in God's eyes?  Is the wait accomplishing a move of God all around us?  The mind of Christ knows  ...  and we can know 'if' we "let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus."

"Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying,
yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light
affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,
while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which
are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but
the things which are not seen are eternal."
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

Keep looking up, keep expecting, keep believing, keep going, keep the faith!  You say, "That's easy for you to say; you don't know what I'm going through."  Bless your heart, dear one, but I do know some about waiting myself, and no, it's not at all easy sometimes; it feels like a long hot desert, and the sands are grinding on our nerves, the loneliness of the place is becoming unbearable; the winds just keep blowing with no "oasis" in sight.  But, we must fall back on the scriptures, the Holy Word of God, that says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning," and so many other comforting scriptures.  God gave us His Word to ease our troubled minds, to guide and instruct us, and to show His unfailing love for His creation.

God's love never fails; we must not let our love for Him fail.  He's as close as the mention of His name  ...  JESUS!  Say it.  Whisper it.  Shout it.  It doesn't scare Him; He rather loves the "passion." Give Him your all  ...  and He'll give You the all that you were "EXPECTING!"
