"PASSION"

Abraham

"And when Abram heard that his brother was taken
captive, he armed his trained servants, born in
his own house, three hundred and eighteen,
and pursued them unto Dan."
(Genesis 14:14)

Abraham was the Father of many Nations, the monument of faith in the Bible, and he had PASSION!  Everything Abraham did, he did it with gusto, whether it was rescuing Lot and his family, paying his tithes to Melchizedek, or climbing that dreaded mountain on that early morn to sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac; he did it all with stalwart, unwavering, irrefutable and steadfast Passion.  Passion means: "intense emotion."  Passion is not reserved for the erotic; it is recognized at its best in the hearts of those who love God and His Word, who love God's world of lost souls, who do what they do with flame in their eyes, a storm in their feet, white knuckles upon their sword, and a heart that beats to the sound of the prophetic clock  ...

Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac

Abraham exuded Passion even from his little toe!  He "rose early" on the morning he was to sacrifice Isaac; His love for God was the foundation of his obedience.  We know the story; just as he raised the knife to kill Isaac, the angel of the Lord grabbed his knife-clad hand and stopped him.  The real sacrifice was the ram caught in the thicket; it was a test of the greatest degree  ... the man of Passion passed  ...
The tests of God are often the most prevalent in the lives of the "Passionate."  Why?  They have a heart after God.  They are called and chosen to do mighty, holy, and extraordinary things; they are tried in strange and hard ways; they are those who are most often misunderstood; they are trailblazers, forerunners, and prophetic giants.  They are those who, when standing in a crowd, have that far-off look  ...  they are here, but not here; they're way ahead of their time; their words make little sense to most people, and many think they are odd  ...  They are prophetic Abraham's in a 2013 technological jungle, with a 3013 vision and a heavenly body in an earthly world.

Abraham rescues Lot and his family

Abraham's are not timid or shy, even though they have that humble and somewhat meek demeanor; they will fight for their families and their flocks; they stand up for what's right; they move with the wind of the Spirit, and the whispers of God are their constant and ever present companions.  They are driven, moved, powerful and stirred individuals that are not of this world, because their "Passion" takes them to heights untold, to far realms beyond the known, the dimensions of mystery, "deeps" of desire in God, and they know nothing else  ...  except Almighty God and His Will  ...  They have that far off look, that preoccupation with "somewhere else," that desire to know the Lover of their souls in the depth and height of His very essence, that posture of "Here I am," that "just been on the mountain demeanor," that "this world is not my home" stance, and they seem to not fit in with the so-called "normal" of this world  ...

Abraham

The one with "Passion" believes large thoughts, dreams ethereal dreams, sees with "God vision," and if God said it, "IT IS."  Don't you dare TOY with the one with Passion, for his stare will stop you COLD!  The Spirit who moves him is the Spirit who made him/her who he is  ...  and he/she is "real" to the marrow of his bones.

Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac

Hey, age, circumstances, and obstacles don't stop the one with Passion!  In fact, very little stops the one with Passion; he's driven by a high hand of purpose, an unseen voice of anointing, a power beyond reason, "a reason beyond power," a Holy calling reserved for few, and he will not be hindered.

Abraham

Men like Abraham still live, still dream, still march to a different drummer, still move in years beyond us, still pass the tests of faith, still move in the heavenlies while living in the earthlies, still walk in prophetic shoes of time outside of time, and who live, breathe, think, fight, carry, embrace, provoke, establish, and ARE the epitome of "PASSION"  ...
