"Love It, Live It, Give It!"

Cornelius was "A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.  He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an Angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius, and when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it , Lord?  And he said unto him, thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.  And now, send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter."
(Acts 10:2-5)

We must "Love It, Live It, Give It;" it's called "more Light."  What?  The place where many of us once were, the place of walking in all we knew, the place of loving God but needing more Truth, the place of "having a form of godliness" but 'needing' the power, the place where Cornelius was.  He was a devout man of God, but he needed "more light," so God sent an angel to tell Cornelius to call for Peter, and of course Peter was the man for the job, because, noting his life and his actions, his motto surely was, "Love It, Live It, Give It."

How many today are very precious, godly, prayerful, loving people, but are those whom God wants to give "more light?"  That could be virtually "all" of us, because none of us "know it all;" the pearly gates ain't clicked behind any of us yet; we are all growing, learning, seeking more of God  ... or at least, we should be.  You say, "Even preachers?"  Yep; there are higher dimensions for every level in God; they may not be tested at the same place we are, but they are ever climbing too, and we follow them as they follow Christ.  They are the closest to God, and His direction, that we can get, or, at least, they should be.  We do not follow blindly; if they cease to follow God in the "truth" of His Word, we cease to follow them, but we must all have a "preacher;" it is God's holy order of things.  Sheep must have a Shepherd  ...

The Apostle Peter

The angel told Cornelius to send for Peter.  If we're looking for advice; if we need 'more light;' if we want to be counseled, to whom do we go?  We go to the one who will tell us the truth, and if it's concerning the truth in God, it sure better be one who knows what he's talking about.  Peter was given the keys to the kingdom, the means to open the door, the emblem of power and authority, and the kingdom here means the Church.

Peter was there on the Day of Pentecost when the people asked, "What must we do (to be saved)?"  Peter told them to repent, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and they would receive the Holy Ghost (with the evidence of speaking in tongues).  If we are seeking "truth," sincerely, God will lead us to the truth, and when filled with the Holy Ghost, it is the power that leads us into "all" truth.

More Light

What does the world need?  Love, sweet love; Oh, yeah, and that comes from God too  ...  it's the purest, holiest, deepest, most profound love of all  ...  but the world needs, above all, "more Light."  Darkness covers the face of the earth today like never before.  Holiday time brings such a feeling of warmth, because of all the bright beckoning lights; suddenly everything is illuminated and the darkness is dispelled for a time.  But, if the world would let Him in  ...  "Him, who?"  Jesus Christ, the Lord!  They would have eternal "light."  He IS the Light of the world!

For many, Holiday times are so very hard; they don't feel warmth, love, or joy at all.  I can identify with that; every terrible thing in my life happened at Christmas time, and some of them were devastatingly terrible.  But, the Lord Jesus is the light-giving "eraser."  The scars of life remain, like the scars in Jesus' own hands and feet, but heartache and pain are turned into victory; hurt and shame are replaced with knowledge and purpose.

The old saying, "the devil meant it for evil, but God meant it for good," is true.  Joseph was sold by his own brothers, lied on by a seductive woman, and thrown into prison for seven years, but then, he was set up as second only to the King to 'save and rescue' the very brothers who tried to destroy him.  God meant it for good!  There "is" a circle to be completed in all of our lives.  We should always ask ourselves the question, "What good "could" come from this, and how can I use it to help others?"  The answers for all of life's questions are found in the truth, God's Word; and we have a mandate to love it, live it, and give it ....

"And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came
with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the
Holy Ghost.  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.
Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be
baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?  And he
commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord."
(Acts 10:45-48)

Cornelius, and all that were with him that day, received the truth.  In Acts, Chapter 19, the people of Ephesus were rebaptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and also received the Holy Ghost and spoke with tongues.  More Light.  It's happening all over the world today  ...  More Light.  Ministers are rebaptizing their entire congregations "in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ"  ...  More Light.    All denominations are receiving the Holy Ghost and speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance  ...  More Light.  The Churches are coming together in UNITY for the last hour revival, and Harvest  ...  More Light!

If we truly want to know what we must do to be prepared for the Rapture of the Church, to be saved for all eternity, God will show us.  He will send an angel, maybe one of His heavenly hosts, or an 'angel' from His Church, but He will lead us to truth  ...  if we really want to know ...  The thing about Truth is that it's a commodity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we MUST, in this final hour of the endtimes  ...  "Love It, Live It, Give It!"
