"When Virtue Leaves Him"

"And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they
that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee,
and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath
touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. "
(Luke 8:45-46)

The woman had suffered with an issue of blood for 12 years; she was not allowed in public, could not go to the feasts, and even anything she sat on was considered unclean, but she was desperate!  She said, "If I can but touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed."  Jesus was surrounded with a throng of people, but when this woman, full of faith, touched His garment  ...  He stopped dead in His tracks and asked, "Who touched me?"  It was a ludicrous question to the Apostle Peter, since there were hoards of people all around, but Jesus felt it  ...  He felt VIRTUE leave Him!  Virtue means "righteousness or moral excellence."  He felt the holiness of this woman's spirit, the purity of her soul, the enormous faith of her heart!  But, SHE pulled the righteousness, the holiness, the purity from HIM, when she touched Him with faith   ...   these qualities left Him and when they touched her, she was healed!

"And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling
down before him, she declared to him before all the people for what cause she
had touched him, and how she was healed immediately..…"
(Luke 8:47)

People all over the world need healing, need forgiveness, need a miracle, need the Lord Jesus to touch them   ...  and "leave virtue."  Our Holy God responds to bold, daring, unshakable, unmovable, undeniable, "touch the hem of His garment" faith!  Faith ALWAYS move the God of the universe.  How many times did He say, "Only believe," and "Your faith hath made you whole."Doubters, unbelievers, mockers, rebukers, scoffers, and those who refuse His love, do not receive from Him.  It's sad, isn't it?  The Creator of all things is only limited by His creation's unbelief.  But, He's also quick to forgive when one is sincere, honest, sorrowful, repentant, and asks Him for help, healing, or salvation.  It is His desire that we prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper.  Many miss the "key" there  ...  "as our souls prosper;" we must grow in the Word, grow in the Spirit, grow in maturity, grow in vision, grow, grow, grow   ...  in Him!

Jesus Christ still reaches for us; He still waits with open arms for us to run to Him; He still wants to touch us, but more than that; He wants "us" to touch Him!  What moves the God of all the universe?  What stirs the Lion of Judah?  What brings tears to the eyes of the One who made tears?  When does He stop caring for mortals in earth? The answers lie in His Word  ...  He is not willing that ANY be lost or perish; He is moved and stirred with compassion for the lost, for His beloved Israel, and for His Church; He cries when people rebuke Him and shake their ugly fists in His Holy face; He never stops caring  ...  NEVER!

Reach up for His virtue; hunger and thirst after the Lover of your soul; call to Him while He can be found; yield your heart and soul to the One who knows all; venture into the realm of the Holy; meet the One who formed you from the "dust" of the earth  ... Come to Jesus!  You'll know it when you've touched Him  ... You will feel His "virtue!  When you are filled with His Spirit and you speak in tongues as He gives you utterance, you feel His "virtue;" when you are baptized in His name and you come up out of the waters clean and holy, forgiven and new, you feel His "virtue;" when you are covered in His blood at repentance, you feel His "virtue!"  It's the most beautiful and glorious moment of your life!

VIRTUE!  It falls on every person who seeks the presence and essence of the Lord Jesus Christ!  It's a healing touch, a miraculous overshadowing, a waft of glory, a moment of beauty, an angelic brush, a thrust of power from the carrier   ...  the Lord and Savior of the world, Jesus Christ!  You'll know it when it happens  ...  it's "When Virtue Leaves Him."

  2. I have tears in my eyes from the first Word of this spiritual message. Thank you for your obedience and leadership. I would not have seen this if it had not been for our Savior coming into your life. This has touched me in so many ways. I have heard this story before I was and am raised in the church. But I was researching virtue to get a better understanding of what exactly it was. I have came across many articles and resources but this one right HERE....reached out and touched me, I praised Him after reading this. Thank you, I understand fully and I pray you all continue to be blessed and keep doing what you do best, Keep on spreading the gospel
