A Cup of "Fresh Life!"

He touched the water and it blushed, He touched
me and said, "live" and handed me a cup of "fresh life."
~Kenneth Phillips~

The waters "blush" at the touch of the Master's hand; the roses bloom at the Lord's command. The stars parade their brilliance with just a nod of His head; the earth moves on its axis because the Almighty God said.  It's assignments from the One who speaks it all into place; the universe responds to the One with the pointing finger and the wisdom of the ages in His face. There can be no mistakes in the rhythm of the eternal, for the calculation exceeds the Godly formula, because it cannot be traced.  No earthly mind can conceive it without God's Yes.  So, it's a chalky board of Einstein numbers and a configured guess.  Oh, He is omnipotent and mighty; the Holy One who IS knowledge beyond measure.  He's the Alpha and Omega, the reflection from heaven in the beauty of waters' azure.
He formed the world from just a thought, and He lovingly
caresses His beloved creation; it's His beauty to behold
No man can imagine His wonders, so extravagant in galaxies
and glories, in the recesses of infinite space to unfold

Who is like our God?  He is the song sung before dawn; He is the beauty many miss as they stifle their yawns.  Who can say that there is no God, when all around us is proof, as we walk upon the very ground that He Himself sod.  The Nations will proclaim His glory and the "dust" will bow the knees; He has ordained it in His prophetic Word, that's making its way from Sea to shining Sea.  O, Worship all ye people and join in the joyful dance; the Holy One of Israel is coming, and this is your last chance.  He looks quite different now, our Lord Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to life, the One to whom we vow.  He has hair like wool, feet of brass, and eyes aflame; He's the lamb and the Lion of Judah, an awesome image of thunder, IS who the risen One became.

The world rests in hands of power and arms of Love; we are not
our own, but we belong to the Creator
He seeks the souls He bought with His blood, and longs to free His
beloved, from the grasp of the adder

It rains down from above, this water that blushes from the touch of His hand; it's because He was God, who was born of a woman, and grew to be quite a man.  The Word became flesh and dwelt among us; and those forgiven much, love much, because of Jesus.  He pours out His Spirit, and we speak with tongues as His Spirit gives us utterance; it was the command to all flesh, a Book of Acts ordinance.  Baptism in Jesus' name sets us free from all the guilt and shame; we rise from the waters to innocence and no blame.  He's a Savior like no other; underneath are His arms of love; we are drawn to His presence that rests upon us like the gentleness of a dove.  Let Him be your Lord; He will never leave you, nor forsake you; He's not like other loves, who are fickle with devotion, and bid you adieu.

We remember, Dear Lord, with bread and the fruit of the vine,
Your blood and broken body, given for mine
You have saved my soul, and delivered my body from disease and
strife; and You have given me A Cup of "Fresh Life!"
