"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace
was upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed."
(Isaiah 53:5)
The Lord Jesus Christ
We are not forsaken; our Lord Jesus Christ came to redeem mankind from all manner of illness, from all sicknesses; He came to make us whole. The stripes upon His back were for our healing. When He first started His ministry at about 30 years of age, He went about healing ALL, the Bible says. He opened blinded eyes, raised the dead, healed paralytics, cast out devils, healed lepers, cured diseases, and people flocked to Him for help, for deliverance, for life, because only He can heal and make alive. Many times, He was moved by the multitudes, so many in need, so many lost and afraid, so many without hope. He IS a man of compassion, a Savior who knows what it means to suffer, a God who came in the flesh and felt the pain of the flesh, even as we feel unbearable and chronic pain. Everywhere He went, He forgave sin, and He healed.
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might
die to sins
and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."
(1 Peter 2:24)
Do you need a healing? Are you suffering? Call out to the One who knows how you feel; He knows your pain, and He is ready to touch you. You say, "But, I've prayed for my healing so many times and I haven't received it." How long do we pray for healing? Until ... How many times do we have the anointed hands of a Pastor laid upon us for our healing? Until ... How often do we keep going back; how many prayers does it take; do we just keep asking? The answer is: Until ... Don't give up! Today just may be Your day! Sometimes our prayers are hindered by the enemy; sometimes it is a process in God; and sometimes we are healed immediately. Sometimes, Almighty God uses medicine, doctors, surgery; and sometimes He uses the anointed hands of a Pastor or minister; sometimes He uses a prayer cloth, prayed over and anointed with oil, and sent to a faraway Nation. Sometimes, it's a prayer over the phone, a prayer by someone on his/her knees for a missionary in Africa ... sometimes, it's our cry to the lover of our souls in the wee hours of the morning, and He hears and answers.
"O, LORD my God, I called to you for
help and you healed me."
(Psalm 30:2)
Thank You, Lord, for hearing my cry, for
healing my body, for touching my mind,
I thank You in advance, because I BELIEVE!
I believe You died to save me; You suffered
to heal me; You rose again so that where
You are, I may be also. Please forgive me
of all of my sins; cover me with Your blood;
fill me with Your Spirit; I will be baptized
in Your name, and I will be a witness for you
every day of my life. Thank You, Lord.
When Jesus Christ was in earth, He spent most of His days praying and healing, lifting up and delivering, touching and raising up, because He cares. He cares about You and me; He does not turn away from anyone who calls out to Him with an honest heart. He ever longs for all people to call out to Him for salvation, healing, and love. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is an ever present help in times of trouble; His arms long to hold you; His thoughts are always on you, me, and every living creature. He is not willing that any be lost or perish. He desires that we have joy unspeakable and full of glory, that we are filled with living waters, and that we live life abundantly.
People did drastic things to get to Jesus; they tore the roof off and lowered a paralyzed man down into the room where Jesus was, because they could not get in; they climbed trees to be above the huge crowds to get to Him or to just get His attention; they risked everything and crawled through the crowd to touch even the hem of His garment; they said profound faith statements like, "Master, just say the word and my daughter will be healed." These were all hungry desperate people, people who had tried everything else and nothing worked; people whose eyes were only on the Master and they were not worried about what others thought; people who just needed a touch of the Master's hand ...
Jesus will come to you; He's waiting. Just lift your hand to the man who knows your name; lift your hand to the One who knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb; raise your hand to the Lord Jesus Christ who died for you, to save you, deliver you, and heal you ... Just lift your hand, and be "Healed!"
