"Who Touched Me?"

"And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied,
Peter and they that were with him said, Master,
the multitude throng thee and press thee,
and sayest thou, Who touched me?"
(Luke 8:45)

The woman was known as having "an issue of blood" for twelve years.  She had been to many doctors, had suffered greatly, and had spent all the money she had, trying to obtain a cure for this hemorrhaging condition.  Furthermore, we must understand the seriousness of this, according to the law.  She was not allowed to touch anyone, nor could anyone touch her; she was considered unclean.  She was not allowed to come to the annual celebrations of worship which were so important to Judaism.  She could not enter the temple courts, could not light candles for the Sabbath evening, and she could not participate in the Passover meal.  It was as if she was banned from "life;" her family couldn't touch her; any furniture she sat on was considered unclean; it was like she was a leper living in a normal setting.  We have to wonder how this woman cared for herself, so alone was she in this unclean infirmity, and being so banned from society; she must have felt so hopeless.

This woman heard about Jesus Christ; she heard about His mighty miracle-working power; she felt this was her only chance.  She risked everything, because, of course, she was not allowed in public, so she snuck into the crowd, creeped low to the ground so as not to be seen, and she said to herself, "If I but touch the hem of His garment, I shall be healed."  It was FAITH that pushed through the crowd; FAITH kicked peer pressure and the law aside; FAITH did the unthinkable and unspeakable; FAITH touched the hem of Jesus' garment, and when she did  ...  immediately her flow of blood dried up!

Two things happened that day:  The woman felt healed completely immediately, and Jesus Christ felt "virtue," or righteousness, go out from Him, and He said, "Who touched me?"  There was such a crowd around Him that the disciples were staring at Him, incredulous, rolling their eyes and thinking, in today's vernacular, "Are you kidding?"  It could have been a hundred people who touched Him; there were huge throngs of people following Jesus everywhere he went.  But, Jesus knew that it was FAITH that touched Him.

"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed
for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us
peace was upon him,  and by his wounds we are healed."
               (Isaiah 53:5)

FAITH touches the Lord of Lords today!  All things are possible to him that believes.  How long do you keep praying for healing?  Until  ...  How long do you keep believing?  Until  ...  How long do you keep knocking?  Until  ...  If we are still alive; if we are still breathing; if we still have a mind to please Him and a heart to serve Him, we're ripe for a Miracle!

It still takes just a hand reaching out to the One who shed His blood to heal your blood, to heal your infirmity, to touch your body, to bring deliverance to your soul, to wash you clean forevermore, to lift you to newness of life, to calm your fears, and to love you like nobody has ever loved you  ...  Reach out  ...

Many are healed by the power of God in this present day, all over the world, as Pastors and ministers lay hands on people in the Name of Jesus, by the Blood of Jesus, and the Word of Jesus  ... people are healed, delivered, and set free.  I have prayed over the phone for people, laid hands on my computer screen and prayed for prayer requests, touched people with my hands in the office, at the altar, on the streets, in homes, and they were healed.

Won't you agree with me in prayer now:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, and
by Your Spirit, we come to You with FAITH,
believing for Your healing touch to bring
miracles to bodies, minds, hearts, organs,
blood disorders, diseases, depressions,
muscle and bone disorders, hearing and
blindness, lameness and mental disorders by
the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the
Word of Jesus; we call it done and we give
You the Glory, the honor, and the praise for
touching us one more time.  We Thank You,
Lord Jesus.  Amen and Amen.

Now what?  Believe!  If you have been truly healed, the doctor and tests will validate it.  Don't stop medications until you have been tested; we must be wise in all things.  If you have been healed, contact promiselandchurch.net with a Praise report.  The Lord Jesus Christ desires that we "prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper."  (3 John 1:2)

The Lord Jesus Christ is still moved by creation's FAITH; when we believe in the midst of so-called impossible situations, we have His attention; when we step out and take hold of His Blood, His Name, and His Word, we Win!

In the wee hours of the morning, in the darkest deserts of life, in the silent times and the crying times, The Lord Jesus Christ still asks that monumental question when He suddenly feels that leaving moment of virtue, "Who Touched Me?"
