"Walkin' In 'Wonder' Land"

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  And the angels said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."
(Luke 2:8-12)

It was nothing less than a "Wonder!"  The birth of Jesus Christ, God manifested in the flesh, a Virgin birth, the light that filled the earth one dark starry night, the hope for all generations, the Creator became creation for a time foretold, the Word became flesh, the Omnipotent One became mortality one majestic glorious night!  The shepherds didn't know it, but when the Angel appeared unto them and announced the birth, earth would never be the same again, they were entering a new dimension, they were "Walkin' In Wonder' Land."

"And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly
host praising God, and saying, glory to God in the highest, and
on earth peace, good will toward men."
(Luke 2:13-14)

A Wonder is an "awe," a "miracle," or something that causes "great admiration."  The Christmas story is the Wonder of the Ages, the Glory that is celebrated for all eternity, the story from whom all holy stories come, the Holiness of joyous triumph, and the Hallelujah of swaddling power delivered  ... to deliver  ...

Hallowed be thy name, O Lord; thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, "in earth as it is in heaven."
Amen

To be in the center of God's will, His power, and His call is to move and experience His Glory, and walk in His "Wonder."  The awe of holiness abides in the breath of His Spirit and the ecstasy of His love.  For mortals to dwell in the shadow of the Lord God Almighty eliminates the force of darkness and illuminates the Glory of HIS essence.  "Be it unto me according to thy word," was Mary's response to a road never before traveled, and to the womb confiscated by Deity.  She was entering "Wonder" land.  She was leaving the boundaries of mortal understanding and moving into the realms of the Holy Ghost that overshadowed her.

"Wonder" Land is wherever God IS and purports to be; the great and learned men, and Prophets of the old Testament went there, in part, as they were moved on by the Spirit of God to write the Word of God; the Prophets went there, "in part," as they felt the power of the Word move through their very souls; Mary went there, "in part," when she welcomed "thy word" and carried His will for nine months; but after the resurrection and the beginning of the Church in the 2nd Chapter of the Book of Acts, the obedient Apostles went there, "completely," along with Mary, as they entered the Upper Room.  It was the entrance into the "Spirit and being" of the Great "I Am."

Have you ever been, or entered into that most Holy place of God?  "Where?" you ask.  Behind the Veil.  The place where even the prophets of old couldn't go in total, the place where angels desire to look into, the place that is one of the most profound of Wonders.  It is the place where you feel the brush of angel's wings, the place where your spirit is filled with the eternal, all-consuming God, the place where Joy bursts within you like an explosion of pure beauty buoyed on flames of Holy fire, the place where you speak in a language you never learned as you utter words from the God you've have never felt in a manner you have never imagined.  O, it's the ethereal dimension of sublime power and Wonder!  It is the infilling of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord; it is an ultimate "Wonder!"

O, that the whole world would say it in unison, "Be it unto me according to thy word."  Joel 2:28 would rain on the earth, and the Spirit of that baby, the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Spirit of the soon coming King, the Spirit of the water walker, the Spirit of the devil disturber, the Spirit of the death conqueror with the keys to death, hell and the grave, THE Spirit, would consume the world.

Miracles, signs and wonders  ... the Christmas present for a hurting, questioning, floundering, leaderless world.  We need a Holy Spirit Awakening and a humbled heart surrendering to move into "Eden country."  O, Lord, we're ready to go with You on the "thy will be done" journey  ... "Walkin' In 'Wonder' Land."
