"Redemption Draweth Nigh"

"And it came to pass, when they had brought them

forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life;

look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain;

escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed."

(Genesis 19:17)

"And when these things begin to come to pass,

then look up, and lift up your heads; for your

redemption draweth nigh."

(Luke 21:28)

How do we escape, O Lord, the coming terrors of war,

storms, and destruction?

It is in Your Word where we find Your commands for

our redemption, and Your instruction

We will be delivered to salvation, through baptism in

Your name, and infilling of Your Spirit

And we can rest safely in Your arms of assurance, and

the coming earth shaking ... we'll not fear it

The winds of time have shifted and "Maranatha" is

 our cry; help us save this generation

We humble ourselves before You, Jesus, as we look to

Your face, with pleas and veneration

We acknowledge You as Lord, Savior and King, the

Holy and mighty One of Israel

You are the Savior of the world, the Redeemer, God

 in the flesh, awing and ethereal

We come as families, to claim redemption and we draw

nigh, with surrender and contrition

We confess our sins in sorrowful obeisance, coming as

children, in obedience and attrition

Take our hands, Lord, and hold us until the end; we

 can endure, when in Your care

Grant us Your mercy and afford us Your protection,

as we traverse this world of despair

 You bring us joy in the midst of the storm, and Your

whispers drown out war's roars

As we keep our eyes stayed on You, and on the beauty

of redemption's shores

Let our worship please Your ears, and our praises set

Your Holy feet to dance

For Your creation sends You kisses in words of love, and

psalms of adoring romance

We see it, Lord Jesus, You are God, the Lion of Judah,

and we lift Your name on high

You are giving a last urgent plea, to those who respond

to "Your Redemption Draweth Nigh."
