"NOBODY TALKS ABOUT HELL"

"For I have five brothers.  Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment."

(Luke 26:28)

We hear a lot about saving marriages, improving finances, getting jobs, being delivered from addictions  ...  and those things are all good, but there's something we all "skirt" around; we put it to the back of our minds or we just dismiss it altogether; it's not a popular subject for Mega Churches  ...  What is it?  The looming fact that  "NOBODY TALKS ABOUT HELL."

There are two places where fire burns  ...  it burns in HELL and it burns in the "Awakened" Soul!  One is a place of torment for all of eternity and the other is "tongues of fire" by the power of the Holy Ghost erupting from one who is "Awakened."  If people could speak to us from HELL right now, they would scream "Awake Yourself!"  

The Bible is not a Book of fables; there "are" people burning right now; there is an eternity for all of us in Heaven or in Hell  ...  there are only two eternal destinations.  It's up to us to decide where we want to go.  You say, "Well, it's not that simple."  Oh, but it is!  We accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior; we repent of all of our sins with sincerity and humility; we ask Him to fill us with the Holy Ghost and we will speak in tongues as His Spirit gives us utterance; then, we get baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins, and we're on our way.  We have obeyed His Word regarding salvation, and now we live like we're on our way to heaven; we talk heaven's talk; we walk heaven's walk; we pray heaven's prayers; we cast out devils just like heaven casts them out; we get rid of disease and tears just like heaven is void of them  ...  "in earth as it is in heaven."

What does it mean to be "Awake?"  It literally means a Revival or Renewal of interest or a Sudden awareness.  Most of the world and even much of the Church today are sleepwalking, going through the motions, thinking we will go on living forever  ...  and we will  ... somewhere!  But, God  ...  Excuse me, I have to stop and shout a minute  ...  Anytime we say, "But, God;" it's cause to shout!  There is no situation in earth that God can't handle, that God can't intervene, that God can't turn around, that God can't revive, that God can't renew  ...  that God can't AWAKE! 

Back to my statement; our stumbling world has sleep crust and cobwebs in their eyelashes, but God is shaking the Nations, stirring the winds, corraling the Saints, uniting His Church, and it's all to Wake us up!  Time is short; what we do must be done now; whom we win must be won now; the fire on the altar must roar now; the Spirit upon all flesh must be poured out now  ...  Why?  The four horses' hooves are pawing; the trumpet is being raised to angelic lips; the antichrist is becoming antsy; the Spirit realm is battling in the heavenlies for the souls of men; the thief in the night is coming  ...  Awake, O my soul  ...

Four Horses of the Apocalypse

The four riding horses of the Apocalypse in the Book of Revelation represent pestilence, war, famine, and death.  We are already seeing this to some degree, but not like it will be!  This gives us reason to be Awake.  Furthermore, it will not be hard to snap to attention when the fire escapes the altar and spreads from Nation to Nation, kindred to kindred, all around the world.  There is more than one reason to want to avoid Hell  ...  when people taste and see that the Lord is good, when they feel the power of His Spirit within their souls, when the Holy Ghost slips through their lips with tongues of fire, when their souls burst with joy of such ecstasy that they dance in glee, when they are slain in His Spirit and arise with healing in their wings  ...  when they A W A K E  ...

Maybe we're not talking about Hell, because we're too busy feeling it and talking about it  ...  It what? Heaven!  Can I get an AMEN?  The best way to get people ready for Heaven is to let them taste it  ...  That, my dear friends, is what this thing called the "Awakening" is all about!  A little taste of heaven and people are hooked.  "What?" you say.  The Glory of the Lord, the Power of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Almighty God living within you, the feeling of total, precious and pure innocence when you come up out of the waters of baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the triumphant ecstatic feeling of consuming JOY  ...  these are "tastes" of heaven, tastes of what it is to be and feel Holy, tastes of where we're going, tastes of the most perfect peace you can imagine  ...  tastes of the essence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Right now, "Nobody Talks About Hell" because the miraculous glow of Heaven's light is beaming down to earth  ... to those seeking for it, and the fire on the altar is burning out the forces of evil; the light of heaven is beckoning stronger than the tormenting light of Hell.  It's causing us all to say, "Awake, O, my soul."
