"Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and
take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. And ye shall
take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that
is in the bason, and strike the lintel
and the two side posts with the
blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go
out at the door of
his house until the morning. For the LORD will pass through
to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the
blood upon the lintel, and on the two
side posts, the LORD will pass over the
door, and will not suffer the destroyer
to come in unto your houses to smite
you."
(Exodus 12:21-23)
It was a night like no other, blood was on the doorposts, a Passover lamb, and a staff in hand; the exodus was coming after the death angel passed; Israel would be freed to the desert sands. It is rather like today; the Blood of Jesus pardons our sins; and the Bride stands ready at a moment's notice, to be freed from earth's gravity and meet her groom in the air, floating like a lily pond lotus.
The Passover lamb was to be eaten in haste, per the Lord's
instructions and protective orders
The Israelites' hard bondage was about to be over, and
they would finally leave the Egyptian borders
Girded and shod, Israel for the first time, ate the lamb in
full readiness for the journey ahead
The night would be a long one, with the wailing and cries,
as the death angel struck the firstborn dead.
Israel was spared because of the blood; it would not be the last time that blood would be holy, for The Lord Jesus Christ would come, as a Lamb slain, and bleed for the sinful and lowly. Lord, one more time, we pray, cover us with Your blood, pass over, and give us pardon; we anticipate the day, when we will rise to inhabit again, the glory and beauty of Your Garden.
So, we scan the night skies, even as did the ready Israel,
looking for the sign that freedom was nigh
And we, then, will be caught away from earth's bondage, to
meet You in the clouds, and together we'll fly
Lord, You delivered beloved Israel as they moved in
obedience, with a lamb and a prayer
Now, thousands of years later, we believe in the blood of the
Lamb, to ready us for Rapture in the air.
It's the blood that covers the Sins, and every drop that You shed, Lord, was for redemption of mankind. We obey Your Word; we're filled with Your Spirit, and baptized in Your name, to be properly aligned. Time is short now, we must set our sails with the winds of destiny, and move like a determined scud; for You are coming for Your own, those that are sanctified, who are wearing Your name and who are "Marked By Blood."
