"Faith In The Storm"

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith
ye shall be able to quench all the fiery
darts of the wicked."
(Ephesians 6:16)

Keep flying Eagles, keep soaring weary saints, through the storms, through the fires, through the winds, through the rains, through the hard times, through the good times, through ALL times  ... keep flying  ...  just a few more days and we will rise above the storms, and take the hand of the Lord to walk with Him where there is no night, where there are no tears, where there is no disease, where there will be no thunders or war  ...  we shall stroll with angels, rejoice with the multitudes, sing a new song of Glory, and never another fear, never another trial, never another heartache  ...  just a little longer, dear one, hang on to the horns of the altar, stand tall in the Lord Your God, and above all, have "Faith In The Storm."

And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?”
Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea,
and there was a great calm.
(Matthew 8:26)

Hey, we can't be too hard on the disciples; we would probably have reacted the same way if we had been on that boat.  As a matter of fact, we "do" react that way now, on our own rocking boats, on our own wind-tossed Seas of trouble, on our own reeling turmoils of life  ... we cry out "Help me, Lord" a lot these days. And, the Lord most likely thinks the same thing of us, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?"  We're still mere humans in the face of an omnipotent infinite God, but He loves us as much as He loved them, and He rises up to calm our rocking boats, just like He did back then!

Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith
has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.
(Matthew 9:22)

Faith moves the One who made it!  He knows what it is to believe for something that is not there; after all, He said to Job, "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the world?" He knows what it's all about and He is greatly moved when His creation, the "dust" formed from His hand, steps out into that unknown dimension, ventures onto the ledge of nothing, stands on a single strand of belief, sits at His feet in total faith, and SEES the answer that is not visible  ...  He loves it, and He responds!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation
to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the
righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written,
“The righteous shall live by faith.”
(Romans 1:16-17)

Unsaved people watch us more during our trials than at any other time! They wait for us to "curse God and die" as Job's wife told him to do in his trial of faith.  They are always astounded when we "Praise God," when we have joy in the deepest of trouble, when we "sing" while the winds are roaring around us, when we worship as we sit in darkness  ... Ah, it is our finest moment!  Huh?  It is the moment when ashes are turned to beauty.  You say, "But, there's no beauty in it!"  Exactly, but the beauty is the Faith we exhibit when there's no plausible reason to believe!  It's because "we know" our God said that He would never leave us, nor forsake us; He said that Joy would come in the morning; He said that He would withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly before Him; He said our faith would move the mountains  ... so, because we've been there before and God brought us through; we sing; we shout; we dance; we praise; we worship  ...  in the middle of the storm  ...  and it causes unbelievers to believe!

Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written,
“I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak,
knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with
Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.
(2 Corinthians 4:13-14)

There's a reason we're told to mount up as "Eagles!"  They have a mighty wingspan of 7 feet; they have 7,000 feathers; they weigh 7 to 10 pounds; they reach gliding speeds up to 70 kilometers; they reach diving speeds of 75-99 miles per hour  ...  lots of 7's in there, God's perfect number.  Eagles use the winds to their advantage, and sometimes the very strong winds.  WE, as saints of God, mounting up as Eagles, can do the same thing.  Use the Winds to our advantage! The trials and rains that fall on us can be a mighty "witness" to the unbeliever  ... show them we believe in our God "utterly," and because of that, we have "Faith In The Storm."

"Search For Peace"

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:7)

Oh, the stirrings and moving in one's mind that bring questions and feelings of worry and fret. Then, along comes the whisper of the Lord to the soul He holds in His arms, and suddenly it's kismet.  It doesn't come easy, this soothing of the heart and mind, for it requires prayer, fasting and time. For it's an ascension through galaxies and heavens, to reach the throne room; it's a kneeling elusive climb.

"Take me I'm Yours," is our beckoning cry, to our Savior and King
who reaches for us, as we bow to rise
It's repentance and entering into the Holy place, as we cast
off earth's "dust" and sin's disguise

In the weariness of searching, we lie in our tears, trying to find a semblance of soft breezes, and still waters.  In moments in the Spirit, we're able to leave behind the noise of the world, and meaningless earth fodder.  And joy, like a flood, spills over our souls as the Spirit of eternity consumes the emptied heart with power.  Suddenly, the cares, the toils, and the troubles leave with a run, and we're filled with mighty aromas of flowers.  It's the presence of our Creator come to dwell in His creation with holy love.  It's a taste of heaven descending to mortals from portals above.

Rivers of beauty fill our souls, as we bask in ethereal holiness, the
likes of which have never been told
It cannot be described; it's beyond understanding; it's past human
deciphering; Oh, it's Glory to behold

Come to the rivers, swim in the streams, O Nations of the world; taste the divine, the Holy, and then be submerged. Experience the One who loves you, who bled for you, and know the redemption from the One, who rose and emerged.  He IS the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the lily of Your valley, and Your bright morning star.  Dive into His love, His goodness, and His protection; don't be a stranger to holiness, and view Him from afar.

The end time is here and wars are all around; storms and terror
are the norm, for a planet shaking and reeling
The Lord Jesus Christ is not a God who knows not your hurts, your
heartbreaks, and ignores you without feeling

He stands with His loving arms open wide, ready to fill you with
His Spirit, and cause your turmoil to cease
For if you rest in Jesus; you can sleep in the storms; He is your
answer and the end to your "Search For Peace."

"Whispers Of Peace"

In the darkness of night's shadows, with teardrops
thundering, in thuds upon our pillows
We hear the faintest of whispers, careening through
the galaxies in swirling sweet billows
They enter our tress-covered ears, and rest in the cornered
havens of our troubled minds
With an essence of consuming peace, the whispers
disintegrate the fearful cobbled finds
And we are transported into babbling brooks of serenity,
as the whispers fill their habitat
The tortured inklings of our harbored thoughts, are
suddenly willed heir to the enemy's epithet
Rivers of Glory and waves of serendipity, become the
maneuverings of minds at peace
We have entered the haven of a paradise given; Oh, the
smatterings of Joy, with no end or cease
Our Lord has supplanted the terror of souls, with a
garden of scents, for sods of death
He whispered sweet messages to heads of traumas,
nevermore hence; He's the God of breath
The Great Alpha and Omega, the King of all, the Lion of
Judah, so magnificent and intrepid
A Lamb and a Lion, the Creator Omnipotent, and Ruler
so splendid; He's the Rider expected
He's coming back for a Rapture of His own, and then for a
millennium, a thousand years at least
God Almighty He IS, Jesus Christ our Lord, the inventor and
ultimate connoisseur, of "Whispers of Peace!"

"The Promise!"

It was a promise to Simeon, and the world, that Messiah
would come to deliver and redeem creation
It was the virgin birth of God, the flesh of the Holy Word,
come in a Holy Ghost baby, for the duration
He accomplished the long-awaited plan; the birth, the death,
and on the third day, the consummate resurrection
It was for the redemption of all mortals, the lowly manger and
the finality of the cross, a holy connection
And, now, The omnipotent God waits, for the completion of His
work of salvation, the universal final circle
It was a controversy of His godliness, a mystery of ethereal
aura, when light shined on the colossal miracle
He Was; He Is; He Is to Come, the One and only Lord God,
the King of Kings and the Holy One of Israel
The Great and mighty Creator became creation, in His birth,
and His death, in lonely blood-stained travail
But the story bids a thoughtful pondering, for the final lines
are playing out, and yet to be manifested
He's coming back with ALL power and Glory, an ending that
His cast-out enemy has dreaded and detested
Fight on weary Warrior, hold fast to your sword, and know that
the victory for you is ordained of your God
Stay armed for the battle, watching and alert, for you are His
soldier, fighting for a cause; you're more than sod
The baby grew up; He's now quite a Man; He IS The Alpha and
Omega, commanding His kingdom with prowess
The Earth has always been His; He was born for this; it was to
refill His Eden, and reclaim "The Promise."
