"The Bitter Cup"

"And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was 

as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground."
(Luke 22:44)

There is a cost to be holy and forgiven: To be cleansed of mind,

 soul, spirit, and body exacts a heavy price

The Lord Jesus Christ settled mankind's account; He paid in

 full with tortured suffering of His life to suffice

It was the cross, His flowing blood, and the stripes that bought

 us our freedom, healing and salvation

We are delivered by that pure blood, His Holy name, and His

  Word, a sanctified trifecta of holy oblation

To be righteous is the obeisance of the mortal, receiving the

 recompense of the Lord our God's sacrifice

Our entire beings are surrendered in repentance, and our souls

 are given to God in spirit, for newness of life

Life comes from the One who IS; it's a resurrected stance of

 sanctity, from a dimension not of earth

It is a hallowed aura of Glory assumed from the Omnipotent,

through the Holy Ghost entrance of rebirth

After His death, the stone rolled away, and Jesus Christ arose on

that mighty, beautiful, and expectant third day

The blood of our Savior sealed the contract and mankind reaped

 the blood bought salvation; it was the only way

Now, the tomb of Jesus Christ is empty; it's a place where only

 angels abide to convey the message that He's alive!

"It is Finished;" the plan has been accomplished; the created

 "dust" has been given a Holy place to reside

Our abode is in His Spirit, which rests in the midst of human

 souls, after the fiery Holy Ghost infilling

When Jesus arose; He promised a comforter to all who would

 receive it, to all who come to Him, and are willing

Palm Sunday and Easter dawn a new day for the wandering and

 lost; because of a God so holy and precise

He conquered Sin, death, Hell and the grave, with His own

 blood; it was the infinite cost of Holy's price

It all started with a virgin birth, a God who became man, and the

 plan to save a world that was evil and corrupt

The Holy One of Israel prayed, sweating great drops of blood, for

 the it was Sin that He drank, "The Bitter Cup."
