"The God That Answers By Fire!"

"And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty,

If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty.  And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty."

(2 Kings 1:10)

He's got FIRE shut up in His bones!  Who?  Almighty God!  And, every now and then, He exhales  ...  Hey, you best be not in the line of His nostril flare  ...  unless, it is to be filled with His spirit!  He IS "The God That Answers By Fire!"

The Prophet Elijah did this not in a spirit of revenge, "but for the vindication of the honour and the glory of God, and under the impulse of his spirit, who was abused through the insult on him as his prophet," per Gill's exposition of the Bible.  The wrath of God fell upon men who were unrighteous and ungodly, thus this was an act of justice on God's part, and a declaration of His Prophet, Elijah.  Even today, there are men and women of God who stand in God's stead by the words of their mouths; God uses them to speak for Him in prophecy, and it is wise to not speak against them, if, in fact, they are true prophets and prophetesses of Almighty God.  How do you know if they are true, or like the false prophets of Baal?  The Bible says we know people by their fruits; a good man or woman does not produce bad fruit.  This deserves our Biblical research, because the Word says that in the last days there would arise false prophets and false christs.  We are here; we've seen it! 

"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,

and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there

appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire,

and it sat upon each of them."

(Acts 2:2-3)

It has happened to over 580 million people worldwide and it is happening somewhere right now!  What?  The Holy Ghost and fire falling upon hungry humans; it is the Spirit of Almighty God descending like a dove and consuming mortals like a fire.  It's from the God who answers by FIRE.  This "fire" changes, infuses, molds, inspires, calls, sends, anoints, protects, and flames the name of Jesus Christ in the hearts of whosoever will.  Will what?  Whosever will receive Jesus as his/her Savior, repent of all sins, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and be filled with His Spirit.  It is for every human being, in every Nation, every kindred and tongue  ...  yes, the good, the bad, and the ugly  ...  Jesus Christ waits with open arms to all who repent of their sins, ALL  ...  that means He is no respecter of persons; He receives poor, rich, mean, good, and yes, even evil, IF they repent.  He can turn around the most wicked of people by His Spirit.  He is pouring out His Spirit all over the world, and Joel 2:28 says He will pour out His Spirit upon "all flesh."  In India, there are 27 million Christians  ...  and still counting  ...

"Salute to the Father"

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and

the government shall be upon his shoulder: and

his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller,

The mighty God, The everlasting Father,

The Prince of Peace."

(Isaiah 9:6)

We salute the Father of all creation, the Holy One of Israel, the One in whom all fullness of the godhead dwells bodily, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ!  You say, "Who is the Father; isn't Jesus the Son?"  It is the question of the hour, and we will bring a "Salute to the Father." 

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifest in the flesh,  justified in the Spirit, seen of angels,

preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

(I Timothy 3:16)

"For in him (Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

(Colossians 2:9)

"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and

from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him."

(John 14:7)

The eternal Father is a Spirit, and one cannot crucify a spirit.  So, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, in the body of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is called a Son, because he was born of a woman, but He never once called Mary "mother," because He was to be her Savior, as well.  Are the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost three persons?  A person is a "bodily being" according to the dictionary.  "Father" is a Spirit, and the Holy Ghost is a Spirit of a departed one, namely Jesus Christ, so the only "body" of the three is the Son, Jesus Christ; this is why the scripture says, "the fullness of the Godhead dwells in him bodily." 

John, on the Isle of Patmos in the Spirit on the Lord's day, said he saw "One" sitting on the throne.  Father, Son and Holy Ghost are three manifestations of One person, or one body.  In other words, You can be a mother, a daughter and a sister, but you are only one person, one body, but you are manifested in three different ways.  Do we believe in the "three" of the Godhead?  Absolutely.  Jesus Christ was Father in Creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost in regeneration.  When you say Jesus Christ; you've said it all!  

"I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is

from the beginning.  I write to you, young men, because

you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children,

because you have known the Father."

(I John 2:13)

No one "loves" like the Father of us all.  He will never leave us nor forsake us; He forgives and forgets; He loves even when He is not loved in return; He died a brutal death on the cross, because of His love for creation; His love is from everlasting to everlasting.  The fathers in earth would do well to pattern themselves after Him.  There's nothing more beautiful in earth than to see a Godly father, a father who leads his family with love, strength, honor, and spirit from his heavenly Father.  A Godly man cries; a Godly man bows; a Godly man falls on his face in the altar; a Godly man protects; a Godly man humbles himself but stands tall in power in the Holy Ghost; a Godly man prays  ... 

We salute you, earthly fathers, who stand for the Truth, who march with faith, lead with love, walk in victory, climb for vision, bow for answers, weep for the world, speak with authority in the Lord, work to provide, give unsparingly, war in the spirit continually, and present yourselves as an example like unto the Father of creation.  You must never forget that there are many following you  ... your children, wives, families, and those looking for the strength and courage of a hero in the faith.  You are mighty, appointed as leaders, and we honor you.

Father of the Nations

God has established authority all the way down the line; He appoints the father as the head of the family; He appoints deacons and elders in the Church; He assigns Pastors, teachers, prophets, evangelists, and He has raised up women in times past and even today, to carry on His work in many areas.  He calls and chooses whom He will.  He has chosen Pastor Kenneth Phillips as the "Father of the Nations."  The love of this man reaches from Sea to shining Sea, from continent to continent, from Nation to Nation, and the Shepherd in him moves his hands to cover the world.  He's an exemplary father to his family, to his Church, and now to the Nations.  We salute you, Pastor Kenneth Phillips, as a father closest to our heavenly father that we know of, in earth!

"Prayers In A Wall"

"Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and your Holy City to

finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring

 in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to

 anoint the most Holy."

(Daniel 9:24)

The depth of a prayer, planted in the crevice of a wall, runs

deep in the heart of a soul

"Restore and regather us," is the cry that echoes, from the

notes in the damp rocky holes

It's the cry of many lost and scattered souls, when sin has

separated "dust" from its Holy God

But, it was the notes in the wall that caused the Creator to

be moved with compassion; and He was awed

It was 483 years, and Jesus Christ rode into Jerusalem

amid the shouts of Hosanna

To the God who was wronged, it was sweet aromas and

a heavenly sent manna

But the peace that was brought to them was hidden from their

eyes; they did not recognize God's coming

  Prophecies unfolded; Jesus was crucified, and in just 38 years,

 destruction was looming

The Romans destroyed the city and the temple, leaving a

fleeing people, fearful and bloodstained 

It was 2000 years, and 69 of the 70 weeks had passed, over

the 483 years, but still one week remained

The prayers on little notes, in the cracks of the wall, have been

 answered with the forming of a Nation

The regathering has begun from every kindred and tongue,

to bring together God's beloved creation

Seven years of the prophecy is on the horizon, a finality of

the Book of Daniel, yet to befall

But the Loving Creator, of one and all, still holds His beloved,

as He gathers the "Prayers In A Wall."

"The Blood and The Body"

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus,

on the night he was betrayed, took bread, And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.  In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."

(I Corinthians 11:23-25)

Life!  What's it all about?  Living, working, marrying, bearing children; what's it all about?  Earth, heaven, hell; what's it about?  It's about "The Blood and The Body."

We should be gadding about in the luscious greenery, among floral aromas, and the fresh flowing waterfalls of the Garden of Eden, but because Adam and Eve sinned; man was cast out of the Garden and must now work by the sweat of his brow; the woman must bear children in pain, and mankind had no hope until   ...   Until what?  Until the Lord Jesus Christ gave His blood and His body for the sins of the whole world.  The pictures are not pretty; the scene was gruesome; His flesh was beaten and ripped to the bone; a thorny crown was driven into His scull; nails like railroad spikes were pounded into His hands and feet, while He was nailed to the cross.  No one "took" His life; He gave it willingly for You and me, and every human being in earth. 

The communion, the wafer and the cup of grape juice are symbolic of the blood Jesus shed and His broken body that were "given" for us.  "Do this in remembrance of Me," Jesus said.  Today, thousands of years later, we do it; we repent of our sins in deep sorrow, and take the wafer, tasteless and unleavened, and we snap it in two, like the broken body of our precious Lord and Savior, and we eat it  ...  in remembrance  ... Then, we drink the cup, the cup of blood red juice, like the red flowing blood from every pore of His body  ... in remembrance  ...  We will never forget, Lord Jesus, never will we forget.

"Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a

participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we

break a participation  in the body of Christ?"

(I Corinthians 10:16)

Salvation came with a cost, a torturous, bloody, life-giving cost, for which we are eternally grateful to our Lord of Lords and King of Kings, Jesus Christ.  He is The Only God; there is none beside Him; He alone, died for our sins and rose again the third day.  No one else can claim to have done that; He, alone, can wash away our sins, and fill us with His Spirit to speak in tongues as His Spirit gives us utterance.  We are baptized in His name, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins.  This is the gospel: the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ; and the salvation message: Repent, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and receive the Holy Ghost.  Who is this message for?  As many as are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call  ... every human in earth!

  

The Lord Jesus Christ is calling Your name.  What?  He did it all for You and me, and every Nation, kindred and tongue.  He's coming soon  ...  We must be ready.  How can we be ready?  Obey His Word, receive His blood and His body in salvation, in communion, and in Your heart.  

When it was over, Jesus Christ said, "It is Finished."  He was buried in a borrowed tomb, but on the third day, He arose.  He was seen by multitudes of people and He's alive today!  He's coming back, first, in the Rapture to catch away His Bride, the Church in the air; then, He will be riding on a white horse and His blood and His body are intact!  Maranatha, Lord Jesus!  That means, "Come Quickly!  We remember, Lord, and we will be ready!

"Trifecta"



What a Sunday this will be!  It is Honor to those who fight for our freedoms and those who have died to preserve our freedoms; it is the celebration of the Day of Pentecost when Almighty God poured out His Spirit and tongues of fire set upon each of them and they spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance; and it is the Day to celebrate the Graduates who are moving from one phase of life to a higher phase of "becoming."  It is likened unto our Lord Jesus Christ: His death, life, and resurrection; His death on the cross that we Honor for paying the cost for our sins and washing them away with His precious blood shed for all mankind; the newness of life He gave by pouring upon all flesh His Spirit, the Holy Ghost and fire; and finally His Resurrection when He rose on the third day, symbolic of the graduates finishing one part of life to rise to the greatest part of their life yet to come.  It is a mighty and powerful "Trifecta."

   

Life, death, and resurrection point back to the cross and the empty tomb of our Lord Jesus Christ; we pray always for our mighty men and women soldiers in uniform continually and we honor those who gave their lives carrying the torch of freedom for our great country in war.  Lives are given, and life is poured out in the Spirit coming down, while graduation hats are cast to the heavens as an offering of thankfulness to begin a new journey of resurrection.  So are the stages and occurrences of life.  Life doesn't really ever end; it begins again in another place for the soldier, in a new Spirit realm for the Holy Ghost filled, and in a new journey of destiny for the graduate.  But, through it all, our hands must hold tightly to the One who creates life and death, the One in whom our breath lies, the One to whom we look in the face, in life and death  ... 

"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 

 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and

 filled the whole house where they were sitting.  They saw what seemed to

be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.  All of them

were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues 

as the Spirit enabled them."

(Acts 2:1-4)

Those who have gone on before us would want us to live life to its fullest, and to do that, we must be filled with the Holy Ghost.  We are living in the "Day" of Pentecost, because over 580 million people worldwide have received the Holy Ghost and spoken in tongues, and that number is growing minute by minute.  The power of Pentecost IS a fire spreading from Nation to Nation, East to West, and North to South.  "Why?" you ask.  Because Life and death are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21)  The Bible says the tongue is the most wicked member of the body (James 3:6); therfore, it must be tamed; it must be given over to the One who controls all things, the Lord Jesus Christ.

How do you know when you have received the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ?  You will speak in other tongues as His Spirit gives you utterance.  "Does everyone do that ?" you ask.  Ten out of ten do!  When we repent of our sins, and we ask Him to fill us with His Spirit, He will, and He does, every day, every minute of every day, all over the world.
