"The Flesh of God"

"And without controversy great is the mystery of
godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in
the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world, received up into glory."
(I Timothy 3:16)

One Version of the Holy Bible states this verse like this, "He appeared in a body.."  Luke 24:39 says, "For a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."  Hebrews 1:3 speaking of Jesus Christ states, "Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person..."  Jesus Christ is the express image of God.  Jesus told the Apostle, "Don't you know me, Phillip, even after I have been among you such a long time?  Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father (or Spirit).  How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

This is the mystery:  The eternal Spirit could not die upon a cross like a man; He had to make Himself a body.  He was born of a woman, a virgin; this is why He was called a "Son;" He died on the cross as a man; He Was and Is the Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ our Lord, "The Flesh of God."

Why is "godliness" a mystery?  Barnes' notes states, "The phrase here means that God appeared in human form, or with human nature; and this is declared to be the "great" truth so long concealed from human view, but now revealed as constituting the fundamental doctrine of the gospel."

Jesus Christ is the only God anyone will ever see; ONE sits on the throne.  Revelation 21:5 says, "And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.  And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful."

Depiction of Mary, the mother of Jesus

A virgin birth is a mystery, and a Holy God being manifested in the flesh is a mystery, and the mystery continues.  The Lord Jesus Christ moves in the earth today through His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, and His Spirit lives in humans, the evidence of which is speaking in tongues when one is filled with His Spirit.  Ah, and what a mystery; it's glorious, beautiful, astounding, joyous, and oh so magnificient!

The Glory of the Lord has risen upon us, and His peace and joy reside within us through the power of His Spirit.  He comes to whosoever will receive Him.  Who will desire a "mystery" for Christmas?  Come before the Lord in sincere humility and total repentance; ask Him to fill you with His Spirit and you will speak in a language you never learned as the Spirit gives you utterance, and then have someone baptize you "in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ" for the remission of all sins.  And, the "mystery" will live on in You!

Through the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord, we have eternal life, and life more abundantly.  The Creator became flesh and dwelt among us; He gave His all to save all; He is not willing that "any" be lost or perish; it is His desire that where He is, we may be also; He longs for His bride, His Church; He's coming back for those who are looking for His return.  Maranatha, which means: Come Quickly, Lord Jesus!

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, the One who Was, and Is, and Is to come; we cry for the peace of Jerusalem, the outpouring of Your Spirit, the fulfillment of all things, the consolation of Israel, and the sound of the trumpet.  We watch; we pray; we fast and witness; we submit and obey; we climb higher and fall lower upon our knees  ...  Be it unto us, O, Lord, according to thy Word!

The angels declare it; the heavens perform it; the earth groans for it; humanity reaches for it  ...  the holiness is unveiled, the illumination is rendered  ...  the universe shouts it  ... the mystery is explained: The LORD Jesus Christ: He IS "The Flesh of God."

"1st and 10"

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending,
saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is
to come, the Almighty."
(Revelation 1:8)

The Lord Jesus Christ; He IS THE "1st and Ten" of the world!  What?  The number "10" is said to be a number of divine perfection by some.  There are, and always will be, "10" Commandments; 1/10 of your income is tithe; there were 10 plagues of Egypt; 10 x 10 silver sockets formed the foundation of the Tabernacle; and last but not least, there are Ten I AM's spoken by Jesus in John:

"I AM the Bread of Life" (6:35)
"I AM the Bread of Life which came down from heaven" (6:41)
"I AM the Living Bread" (6:51)
"I AM the Light of the world" (8:12)
"I AM One that bears witness of Myself" (8:18)
"I AM the Door of the sheep" (10:7,9)
"I AM the Good Shepherd" (10:14)
"I AM the Resurrection and the Life" (14:6)
"I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (11:25)
"I AM the True Vine" (15:1,5)

The omnipotent mighty Great "I AM" is the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega!  Oh Yeah, He's a "1st" and He's a "10!"  Game On!  When God Almighty runs plays, there "is no" huddle; He calls it, passes it, intercepts it, throws the red flags, sets the Nickel formation; He's the Rule Breaker; he knows about the forty-six defense, the A-11 offense, the all-purpose yardage, the backward pass, the blitz, the bomb, the bootleg, the bubble screen, the button hook  ...  and HE IS the End Zone!  That's why He IS and always will be "1st"  ...  and "10"  ....

He has no "coach;" He IS the Coach; He IS the offense; He IS the defense; He IS the elusive Quarterback!  You wanna' see a face off?  Get your ticket now to the post game event  ...  The angel of the Lord, One angel, dear ones, will "forward pass" satan, the tormentor of your souls, the evil incarnate, the doomed one, into the waiting, burning Lake of fire!

Sing, O children of the King, for you serve the One who carries the ball, who officiates the quarters, who calls the time outs, who controls the field, and calls ALL plays!  He's the God of Creation, the Holy One of Israel, the One and the forever only "I AM;" and He IS in control of the End Zone!

We have read the back of the Book and we know we win!  Hey, there are no "busted plays," and you can believe the only "crack back blocks" are delivered by the One who drops the enemy.  Almighty God is an expert with the double reverse, the dive, and the double wing  ...  You say, "What in the world are you talking about?"  I'm talkin' about strategy and drive by the "dual-threat" Quarterback, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Righteous and Holy One of Israel!  He's the field judge in charge of formation, the gridiron, and the goal line; He's a "gunslinger," the Hail Mary Creator, and the instigator of the "halo violation."  He IS!

Jesus Christ is our Man-in-motion; He's in charge of the package; He has an inside on the "pocket," and He's big on possession!  The road game is earth, but Almighty God knows how to sack satan, and He's quite a "slobber-knocker;" He can make the cast out one "take a knee" at any moment.

Well, folks, "time of possession" is almost up for satan, The Coach is coming back and He IS "1st" and "10"   ...

"So ... SING!"

"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and
sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them."
(Acts 16:25)

"But no one says, 'Where is God my Maker,
who gives songs in the night."
(Job 35:10)

The Apostle Paul and Silas were in prison, "Singing."  In one of the worst times of my life, the Lord wanted me to sing; I had a respiratory infection; I had hurt my back and I was in terrible pain; we were going through grand jury trials to prosecute someone for a crime done against my family  ...  and the Lord said to me, "Sing."  I could barely breathe, literally!  Furthermore, He wanted me to sing the chorus, "This is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it."  I did it  ...  and I have just one thing to say to you  ...  you're in deep trouble, marriage problems, national unrest in your country, financial trouble, disease and sickness, pain and trauma  ...  Hey, we've all been there; man is of a few days and full of trouble.  Paul did it; I did it; others did it; you can do it  ...  "So  ...  SING!"

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy
mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble."
(Psalm 59:16)

"What good will it do for me to sing?" you ask.  It's simple; the wicked howl, but we, the children of the King, will sing.  Worship brings the presence of God.  He didn't say you have to have a good voice; it's a matter of the heart, a posture of praise, a position of surrendering and offering ourselves up to the One who does all things well!  During that calamity I stated above, I sang, and when I did, the victory came.  The trials didn't stop, but the man was convicted; we were given the strength to endure; the presence of the Lord was surrounding us, holding us, and comforting us  ...  through it.  The song is the declaration of your soul that you trust the Creator who made you; the song brings a release in the Spirit; the song looses angels and defeats devils; the song floats in wafty lilts to the ears of the One who holds all the answers  ...  Ah, the song  ...  try it  ...

Psalm 59:16 ~ From the Treasury of David

"When those lovers of darkness find their game is up, and their midnight howlings
die away, then will I lift up my voice on high and praise the lovingkindness of God
without fear of being disturbed. What a blessed morning will soon break for the righteous,
and what a song will be theirs! Sons of the morning, ye may sigh to-night, but joy
will come on the wings of the rising sun, Tune your harps even now, for the signal to
commence the eternal music will soon be given; the morning cometh and your sun shall
go no more down for ever."

Beautiful, isn't it?  David gained strength from his song, and we gain strength from our song.  Sing, children, sing, for your sun will shine again; your joy will arise with newness in its wings; your peace will return like a gentle moonlit night; your hope will mount up on the promises of God's Word.  The Angels of our God arrive when the Holies resound; atmospheres change when the Holy One is exalted; power is extended when praise becomes ordained strength; all of heaven stands at attention when the Holy Creator is hallowed; the stresses of your soul are soothed by the praises of your mouth  ...  Sing!

"Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength;
we will sing and praise your might."
(Psalm 21:13)

Ephesians 5:19 says, "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord."  Have you ever made up a song to the Lord?  Huh?  He loves that!  Why?  Because it's uniquely YOU.  It is an offering only You can give, a praise from your own heart, an incense from your spirit to God's Spirit that no one else in the entire world can give Him  ...  He loves it.  You say, "I'm going through terrible things; I just don't have it in me to sing a song."  I hear you, but try it; dig deep within you and   ...  do it.

"I've got all these problems."  "I've never cried so much in my life."  "My family is torn apart."  "There's war all around me."  "My husband/wife left me."  "My teenager has run away."  "Drugs are killing me."  "My finances are in ruins."  ...  So  ...  SING!
