"Abiding Trust"



"And the peace of God, which passeth all 
understanding, shall keep your hearts 
and minds through Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 4:7)


"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give 
to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be 
troubled and do not be afraid."
(John 14:27)



Peace  ...  it's what the whole world seeks, what alcohol and drugs supply as a fake, but only the Spirit of Almighty God can give us the real thing  .... PEACE!  Have you ever experienced it?  "Peace that passes understanding" is the most incredible thing you could EVER feel in this life, other than the infilling of the Holy Ghost.  God gave it to me once for about 10 months when I was out of a job.  It settled over me like a mighty enfolding mantle and stayed with me all those months.  Whatever we go through in this life, when we have Jesus Christ leading our way, we need not fear anything  ...  He will see us through.  We can smile in the midst of horrific ferocious winds and storms; we can feel an ethereal calm when all around us are war and terror; we have an unearthly assurance that underneath are His everlasting arms  ...  And, everything's gonna' be alright.

 
  "And to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you
    may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
(Ephesians 3:19)



We can't understand it; we can't comprehend it; we can't fathom it ...  the LOVE that Jesus Christ has for every living soul.  We can be filled with that love, when we are filled with His Spirit!  It is THE greatest and most beautiful thing that could ever happen to a human being! He's as close as the mention of His name; He will fill you if you ask Him.  We repent of all of our sins, sincerely and honestly, and then we ask Him to fill us with the Holy Ghost  ...  a "ghost" is the spirit of a "departed one."  Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried in a borrowed tomb, and rose again to life on the third day.  He "departed" from earth, but He said He would send back His "Spirit," and He has and does!  Over 580 million people in every Nation, kindred, and tongue, have received the Spirit of Jesus Christ and spoken in tongues as His spirit gives utterance.  It can happen to YOU today!  Then, we obey His Word, and we are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.  Then what?  Prepare your wedding garment  ...  you're in the Bride of Christ; tell everyone you meet about Your lovely Lord Jesus, and tune your ear to the sound of the trumpet  ...  the Rapture of the Church, I Thessalonians 4:16-18.  Hallelujah!
 

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds
 are steadfast, because they trust in you."
(Isaiah 26:3)


Then, the peace comes.  When? It comes when you're full of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, when you walk in His statutes, obey His Word, and TRUST Him to be with you in every situation, every storm, every pain, every disease, every heartache, every job loss, every family hurt, every disaster  ...  everything. You say, "But, if I have Jesus, then why do I have all those problems?"  You must identify the source in every situation  ... Is this of God, of man, or of the devil?  For instance, if we spend too much and end up in financial trouble, that's not God's fault, or even the devil's fault, it's our own fault, for not budgeting wisely. Sometimes, we are attacked by the devil, such as Job was in the Bible; and sometimes it is a test or a trial of God.  But, through it all, we are told the Lord will make a way of escape; He will not allow us to go through more than we can bear.  (I Corinthians 10:13)  We are the clay, He is the Potter, and sometimes we're on the "wheel," being molded and shaped into that "vessel of honor," who will hear one day, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"

"Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, 
Is it well with thee?    Is it well with thy husband? Is it well 
with the child?  And she answered, It is well."
(2 Kings 4:26)


It's a wonderful account of bold FAITH in the Bible.  Remember the story?  The Shunamite woman was running as fast as she could to get to Elisha, the prophet, who saw her coming afar off, so he sent his servant Gehazi, to see what was the matter.  When Gehazi asked her those questions about all being "well" in her household, she answered "It is well."  But, the woman knew, even when she answered Gehazi, that her son lay "dead" at home.  Elisha came to her home, and raised up her dead son to LIFE! Incredible faith, incredible spirit in that Shunamite woman  ...  What is lying "dead" in your life?  Can you visualize the answer coming to meet You from God's loving hands?  Will your faith fly on the wings of a dove to TRUST in Almighty God?  Can you answer with the Shunamite woman those powerful words that always move the very heart and soul of our God, "IT IS WELL!"

"Dry Bones"










Who will weep for Nations as the Prophet
Jeremiah, with groans and tears?
He spoke words of judgment and restoration,
but the people had no Godly fear

 



Chosen before birth, a Prophet to warn of judgment by the hand of Babylon; But Judah resisted and would not heed the Word, sent forth of the Holy One.  The Rod of the Almond Tree and A Boiling Pot were given as visions; but they refused to heed the Word of Yahweh, sent in ten message divisions.  Jeremiah spoke of urgent repentance, or necessary judgment was to come; the Priests wanted his death, but he was spared by the One visions are from.


Do we have Jeremiah's in this day and time, 
who groan and weep for Nations?
Or are we too busy to bring forth revival and
a worldwide salvation






The groaners and weepers are a lonely and tortured few, who make wherever they are a Holy altar, and a churchly pew.  Come forth all ye Jeremiah's, for the time is short, and the hooves are pawing.  Weep down a rain of Spirit from above, and a magnificent soul-drawing.  We need a resurrection of weary warriors, and breath for God groans; it only comes from the Jeremiah's, who exist on God's Word, and bringing life to "Dry Bones."

Do people today weep over the many Nations of the world, pray for those Nations, and ask God to save the people of every Nation, kindred and tongue?  Yes!  What is on Almighty God's mind?  Israel and the Nations of the world, the lonely and hurting people of the world, those without hope and a Savior.  He came to redeem the entire world unto Himself, that where He is, we may be also.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (or flesh) that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."  John 3:16  "What should we do?" they asked Peter on the day of Pentecost, after he had preached to them.  He said, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, for the promise is unto you and your children and as many as are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.  Acts 2:38-39  Who should obey Peter's words in order to be saved for all eternity?  For whom does the Lord Jesus Christ "groan?"

"I Shall Arise!"





"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy:
when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness,
the LORD shall be a light unto me."
(Micah 7:8)

The strength of the Lord will sustain me; I will rise with
wings like Eagles, and I will ascend and fly
There are mountains I must conquer, realms I must envision,
and ethereal things of a Holy God to espy
Lead me Lord, and I will follow; I place my hand in Yours,
to trust and always obey Your voice
I will blot out the enemy's taunts; they're bitter diatribes 
from the loser one, who's a defeated noise
Hot sands of the desert make me strong, as they blow their
incessant heat, but my eyes are drawn to light
The darkness can't consume me, for Lord, You are the Glory,
and illumination for this lonely blight 
Thank You, Lord, for sending messenger doves, to drop olive
branches of love into this barren place
In them, I see the beauty of my beloved, in their benevolence of
Christian kindness, love and grace
Blessed be my God, in whom I have all faith; You've never
left me, and never turned away Your face
Your everlasting love has carried me so far; years of whispers
in the night, a glorious hope in this footrace
The falling of mortal man, requires our daily consecration,
bended knees, communion, and humbled hearts
And You reciprocate with blessings, love, light and joy, Your
essence of a Holy omnipotent God, to impart
O, Lord, I hunger for Your depth in this dry and desperate
human abode, while waiting for Your sign
It's my constant desire to feel Your presence, grace Your
Holy altar, and taste again my lifeline
Shine Your light, and guide my way, I pray, O Lord, this day;
You've never left me alone, to find my own way
Your scent of Glory, joy, and wonder draw me, like an aura
of an enlightened, sweet, heavenly bouquet
There's no dark shadows in this land of learning and waiting;
 Your brightness is my constant lamp
It lifts me up, and upholds my arms in this long sojourn; it
makes me feel like a victor, and a champ
This, O Lord, is a prayer for all those who seek Your light,
and need to be reminded and awakened
It's You, Lord Jesus, the bright and morning star, who loves
always the forlorn, but not forsaken
While my eyes look to My soon coming King, and I keep watch
 for the bright light in the midst of the skies
My faith kicks in and I remember to rejoice for this is the day
that God hath made, and "I Shall Arise!"

"Beauty for Ashes"



"While he yet spake, there cometh one from the
ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy
daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.  But when
Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not:
believe only, and she shall be made whole."
(Luke 8:49-50)

"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,
to give unto them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning, the garment
of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they
might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD, that
he might be glorified."
(Isaiah 61:3)

It was hard to stay dead around Jesus Christ!  He likes people, places, and things to be ALIVE!  He still insists on Life, rather than death, today.  That's why He wants all of creation to be "born again," living in the "life" of His Spirit, rather than the dead and dying of this world.  If you ask Him, the Lord Jesus Christ will always prefer the best for you and me; the prospering soul, rather than the floundering soul; the power instead of stalemate; increase in wisdom instead of decrease in knowledge.  The glory of Almighty God's soul is always to see His creation arise from destruction and be renewed by Him in His formula of Joy: "Beauty for Ashes."



Do you feel your life is in a state of perpetual "wait?"  Have your promises grown strands of dusty cobwebs?  Has your long desert existence replaced your hope with fears?  Have you "waited" so long that the light at the end of the tunnel is blurry, fading and darkening?  Rise Up!  It's not over until the Lord Jesus Christ says it over; your wait has built, in you, character, patience, diligence, and maturity of purpose within your soul.  The arrow in the quiver is, even now, being drawn by the eternal hand of God, and being readied for the bow, heading for the target.  How long did Abraham wait for his promised son?  How long did Joseph wait in the confines of prison walls?  How long did Hannah wait for the Prophet God wanted?  Hannah wanted a son, but God wanted a Prophet  ...  Have you dedicated what you're waiting for, to God?  Waiting is sometimes an ethereal reckoning in "our" minds that what is ours is actually His.  "What?" you ask.  He gives the best to those who leave the choice to Him  ...  Think about it  ...


The "beauty" that comes from ashes is a pure beauty.  All the dross has been burned away; the vessel rising from the deathly ash heap is a vessel of honor, prepared to arise at the appointed time.  And, when the vessel rises, the glory of God is revealed in the mirrored glow reflected from the face of Christ.  The potter's wheel, the desert place, the lonely pasture, the time in the quiver, the residence by the brook, the sojourn in the dark prison, the place of undeserved disease and illness, are all learning places of seeing the face of God. 

You say, "How can I possibly see the face of God through disease and suffering?"  The fire burns away the veil covering the holy place of God's mercy; even as the veil of the temple was rent from top to bottom when our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, allowing us to enter the place of His power in the Holy Ghost; so is the veil of suffering an entrance to Him in the secret place He experienced Himself.  He is never closer to us than when we are suffering  ...  if we yield to Him "there"  ...



It's TIME to arise with joy and healing in your wings!  "How do you know it's time?" you ask.  It's time, if you "believe" it's time!  That's what Jesus said, regarding Jairus' daughter.  What in the world is FAITH good for, if we don't use it?  The old saying "Use it, or lose it" applies here.  The more we use it, the more we realize it and see it operating, the less we use it, the less we see it manifested.  Don't give up!  It's time to stop wallowing in the ashes; rise up, stand up, look up. and be cleansed of all unworthy thoughts, negative pronouncements, and "BELIEVE" that your "Beauty" has a target headed for You!
                                                           



There's ONE that rules and reigns, ONE that sits on the throne, ONE who heals and delivers, ONE who fills and subdues, ONE that has all power over all situations and dominions, ONE who can calm your seas and whisper sweet peace, and "that" ONE is the Lord Jesus Christ!  There is NOTHING in your life that He can't fix, that He can't heal, that He can't cast out, that He can't touch  ...  if you open the door and let Him in  ... 


Repentance is rising from the ashes; being filled with the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues is emerging from death to life; being baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins is casting off the old self, the destruction of sin and sorrow, and arising a new creature, clean and worthy  ... 



"Beauty for Ashes" is all about LIFE and that more abundantly; we can all be raised from the dead  ...  dead in sin, dead dreams and promises, dead ministries and service to the Lord, dead hopes and vision, or dead in health issues and suffering.  The LORD Jesus Christ gives LIFE, and all He asks is that we "BELIEVE" and Push to rise from the ashes of death to the beauty of LIFE.  You have to want it; you must hunger for the Lord with the whole heart, soul, mind, body and strength.  He is as close as the mention of His name!
