"Sowers"

"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh
reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit
shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
(Galatians 6:8)

We all sow and we all reap; it's a law of God.  But, the question is, "What are we sowing, and what are we reaping?"  Whatever we plant is what will eventually grow; what is the fruit of the work of our hands?  Is the Lord Jesus Christ the center of all we do?  We have to come to the realization that, no matter what, no matter who we are, or what we do in this life; we are all "Sowers."

"Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a
 harvest of righteousness."
(James 3:18)

The Bible says people, all of us, are known by our fruit, by what we produce, by what comes out of our mouths, by what our actions speak, and we can readily know that by what we manifest outwardly; it is who we are inwardly.  In Job 4:8, it says, "As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it."  Ain't it the truth?  It seems that trouble just follows some people around, doesn't it?  We have to ask the question, "What are they sowing?"  Sometimes, though, we are tried and tested, but that does not go on forever; Job's trial of faith lasted nine months, and then he was blessed greater than all that he had before the trial began.  So, if our lives seem to "never" have blessing, never bring good fruits of the favor of God; we must ask ourselves, "What do I need to change in my sowing?"  "Am I sowing things that are displeasing to God?"  You say, "Well, how is that going to tell me anything?"  It tells us that "we are reaping" whatever it is we are sowing, so if we want to be blessed; we must "sow" blessing.  Huh?  Read on ...

We've seen it over and over, haven't we?  It's happened in our own lives and in others' lives.  Somebody hurts someone terribly, and it's not long until they are hurt in a very similar way; so is the law of sowing and reaping.  Hosea 8:7 says, "For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up."  If we have lived long enough, we have all reaped a "whirlwind" or two, because of bad choices, mistakes, sins, and operating in our own wills.  Ask Samson?  He reaped from "playing around with his anointing;" he lost his eyes and his power, but his hair grew back, and in his death, he accomplished more than in his life.

What does that term really mean, "reaping the whirlwind?"  Barnes' notes says it beautifully, "They shall reap," not merely as "they have sown," but with an awful increase. They sowed folly and vanity, and shall reap, not merely emptiness and disappointment, but sudden, irresistible destruction. "They sowed the wind," and, as one seed bringeth forth many, so the wind, "penn'd up," as it were, in this destructive tillage, should "burst forth again, reinforced in strength, in mightier store and with great violence." Thus they "reaped the whirlwind," yea, (as the word means) "a mighty whirlwind". But the whirlwind which they reap doth not belong to "them;" rather they belong to it, blown away by it, like chaff, the sport and mockery of its restless violence."

It works the other way, as well.  If we sow blessings, we will reap blessings; if we sow love, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, joy, benevolence, and beauty in others, we will reap those things in our own lives.  Wonderful, isn't it?  God is a just and merciful God!  The key, though, is that in order to produce good fruit, we must have holiness within; we must be filled with the Spirit of Almighty God, who produces all of those things, because within us dwelleth no good thing (Romans 7:18)

We are called to sow the gospel into every Nation, kindred and tongue, because it's the Good News to save mankind.  The Lord Jesus Christ is the lover of our souls; by His Word, His Blood, and His name, we are sanctified and delivered from all things that would hinder, destroy, and keep us from His blessings.  We have one command from the God of the universe, and Peter delivered it to us, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you and your children, as many as are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."  (Acts 2:38-39)

The bottom line?  "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." (Psalm 84:11)  For Good "Sowers."

"Our FATHER"

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning."
(James 1:17)

Where are we looking?  Huh?  Look Up!  Everything good comes from above our heads; the glory is Up; the peace is Up; Joy is Up; Holiness is Up; divine direction is Up; gifts are Up; and the only thing the eyes of the world should be focused on right now is Up  ...  "Our FATHER."

He IS the Word; He IS Almighty God; He IS the Alpha and Omega, the soon coming King; He IS the Lord Jesus Christ!  Light is Up; darkness dwells beneath, and if you feel everything in your life seems dark, look Up!  The good gifts come from above, and the Lord loves to give us good gifts; He desires to give us hope and a future; He wants us to prosper and be in health; He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  What?  They all go together  ...  the good gifts, the blessings, the peace and joy  ...  they only are applicable to those who have given their lives to the ONE who's in charge of the good gifts.  When our lives belong to the Holy God, Jesus Christ, our lives are better.  Even the worst days with the Lord are better than the best days without Him.  Huh?  The One who walks on the water must be aboard your boat!

"He reveals deep and hidden things;
 he knows what lies in darkness, and
light dwells with him."
(Daniel 2:22)

"Father's Day" is every day, because we give honor and glory to the ONE who said, "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the world?"  Indeed, Dear Lord; where were we?  Let the glory of the Lord fill the whole earth; let the praises of our God fill the mouths of all Nations, kindred and tongues; may the knees of creation bow before the Holy One; let our joyous songs of worship fill the ears of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords; be exalted O Lord in all the earth; be magnified Lord Jesus from coast to coast and Sea to Sea; and let the light of Your love cover the earth like glistening diamonds in the noon day sun!  You ARE the light of Glory, O LORD!

It's a word we better get used to  ...  HOLY!  We will be shouting it for all eternity; the angels sing it morning, noon and night; earth is starting to sing it more and more, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY; it's glory to the Father of lights; it's sung to the eternal essence of omnipotence, HOLY; say it in prayer; sing it in the daytime; utter it in your dreams, HOLY!  It brings the angels; it brings the Father; it brings the presence of heaven  ...  HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, Lord God Almighty, the One who Was, and Is, and Is to come, He IS Jesus Christ our Lord!

He's coming back!

"Vision"

It's a deep soul to soul conversation, through the
rolling galaxies of space
Calling to the Omnipotent One, in a leap through
the heavens, that emerges face to face
O, Lord, we've gathered the Nations; we're coming in
obeisance, to worship at Your altar
Countries, kindred and tongues, united in praise and
purpose, with no measure of falter
Come, Lord Jesus, with the fire of Your Holy presence,
O, possess us, and consume us
For Glory, Power and Wonder we envision; rain down
on this humbled "dust"
Come with the Holy mist of Your eternal essence, and the
wispy wings of Your Heavenly Hosts
Receive our oblations, as we cover time with amnesia,
and explore the depth of the Holy Ghost
Be exalted in majestic praise, that will climb the portals
of Your heart, and lather Your very soul
With human adoration from scattered nations of One,
who have joined together as a whole
It's the seed of the last day world revival, starting in one
place, and one appointed time
That will span the globe with fire, as the Nations ignite,
from this moment that was prime
For Your people cry Holy, in one voice of hungry longing;
for our eternal lover in waiting
We have Awakened, Lord; we have risen from our slumber,
and now we're anticipating
The entrance of Your Glory is what we long to see, a vision
of the omnipotent Holy One of Israel
To bring completion to this dimension dwelling, and lift us
to the aerie mountain visceral
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, we shout as One;
we are shaken with eternal decision
Walk among the Nations, O Lord; we strain to see as we reach
through the clouds with hungry "Vision."

"The Time Of Life"

"And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou
shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou
man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid."
(2 Kings 4:16)

To everything there is a season, a time for all things, and so
are the adventurous days of our lives
There shall be days of joy, days of bringing forth and birth,
 and days that we bear sorrow and cry
But, our Lord Jesus Christ says, My beloved, My little One,
be not dismayed, disheartened or downtrodden
For I, your God, have gone before you, prepared your way, and
 you are not alone, not ignored or forgotten
Endurance will be your forte, the action that sees you through;
it's a trait that requires skill and mastery
It molds an honored vessel into something beautiful to behold,
an image of glory, a gilded God-made tapestry
Look upon the trees as they bloom in splendor, with colors so
vibrant, and with great beauty and strength
So I have designed your life, starting from new Birth, with a
love that is eternal and it cannot be quenched
Rise up now, from the "dust" from which you came; let hope
 encompass your soul, and surpass all reason
And remember, my child; I will never leave you nor forsake
you, and to everything there is a season
Come to Me, be filled with My Spirit and baptized in My name;
let go of your burdens, sins and worldly strife
For I came to give you newness, a second Birth, and it is the
point of being reborn, "The Time Of Life."
