"A Bride From His Side"

"But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced
his side, and forthwith came there
out blood and water."
(John 19:34)

Almighty God has a reason for everything that is done under heaven.  When the spear was thrust into the side of Jesus Christ at Calvary, blood and water flowed out simultaneously.  The medical explanation is that hypovolemic shock causes fluid to gather in a sack around the heart and lungs.  The fluid gathered in the membrane around the heart is known as pericardial effusion and the fluid gathered around the lungs is called pleural effusion.  The piercing of the lungs and heart by the spear then caused blood and water to flow from the side of Jesus.

The blood and water coming from the pierced side of Jesus Christ was also symbolic of two things:  As God took a rib from Adam's side to form a woman, so God gave us blood and water from His side to institute His Church.  Adam was in a deep sleep when the rib was taken from his side to create Eve, so the blood and water came forth from Jesus' side after His death.

Clarke's Commentary states the Roman soldier threw the spear into Jesus' body to determine if he was, indeed, dead.  "They moreover tell us that this man was converted - that it was he who said, Truly this was the Son of God - that he traveled into Cappadocia, and there preached the Gospel of Christ, and received the crown of martyrdom."

The Bride of Jesus Christ, His Church, goes forth with the Gospel: the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ manifested by repentance (symbolic of Jesus' death), baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (symbolic of Jesus' burial, ie immersed in water), and the infilling of the Holy Ghost (symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus by the Spirit giving us newness of life).  It all adds up to the beautiful equation: "A Bride From His Side."

"Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger and
behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it
into my side: and be not faithless, but believing."
(John 20:27)

Thomas wouldn't believe Jesus was alive without touching His spear-scarred side, much the same as people today have trouble believing the Holy Bible, the gospel, and that Jesus Christ is coming again.  How is the matter settled?  Receive the Spirit of Jesus Christ, and You will feel Him in Your hands, in Your feet, in Your heart, in Your spirit, and when You speak in tongues as the Spirit gives You utterance.  It Is Real!  Then, when You are baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, You are ushered into His Church, His Bride  ...  You will become new, washed in His blood, with rivers of flowing water buoying You above the "You" that once was, but now Your sins are forgiven and You are alive in His presence and glory  ...  You're His bride!

The Bible states every time a new soul comes to Jesus and receives His Spirit, the Angels desire to look into it.  It is a phenomenon the world is looking into!  The Holy Ghost is being poured out in every denomination, every Nation, every kindred and tongue.  Why?  People are hungry for more!  They want to know that there is more to God than stained glass and Church steeples; they want to feel Him, hear Him, know Him, and the Holy Ghost and fire does that.

When Thomas touched the Lord and felt His scar, He said, "My Lord and My God!" (John 20:28)  You will say the same thing when You feel His Spirit living in You!  His whispers will console You; His Spirit will sustain You; His love will embrace You; His presence will awe You, and His protection will convince You that you are His bride  ... He Lives!

"This is the one who came by water and
blood--Jesus Christ.  He did not come by
water only, but by water and blood.  And it
is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit
is the truth."
(I John 5:6)

The Lord Jesus Christ, the soon coming King, is the Savior, the Redeemer of the world.  I John 5:8 says, "And there are three that bear witness in the earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."  Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin; the Lord Jesus Christ took our place on the cross and His blood was shed for all mankind.  We receive Him as our Savior and His blood washes us clean; our sins are cast as far as the east is from the west; we are innocent as a newborn babe when we burst from the waters of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ; and we converse in God's own language when we are filled with His Spirit and speak in tongues.

We're the apple of His eye, the light of the world, His beloved;
we are: "A Bride From His Side."

"Asleep!"

"And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and
saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?"
(Matthew 26:40)

When Jesus Christ needed His disciples the most, they let Him
down; He only wanted one thing, one hour
It's the time to watch, when the moment is drawing near for a
death of the flesh; there's a great need for power
That night in the Garden was a showdown between the devil and
the Lord; would Jesus drink the bitter cup?
He came to earth to die; He knew His mission even as a child,
and He learned very young to look up
The Great I AM became man to fulfill the holy plan; He was a
pure vessel swallowing evil in the Garden
It was the only way; blood must be shed for the remission of
Sin, and Jesus Christ became the living pardon
Now, in the Garden as He prayed so fervently, His sweat fell in
great drops of blood; He wept all alone
It was a prayer like no other ever uttered; a plea to take away
the cup, but it ended with a willing groan
He went to His death to purchase life, and then rose again
the third day; it was complete and finished
What Jesus Christ did for the world was the essence of Love; it
was something no mortal can ever diminish
"Thank You, Lord," seems to not be enough, so great was the
sacrifice He made, and so many just don't care
We bow "for" them, O Lord, and we ask for forgiveness for
all in earth; let them not be among the tares
We see now that Your Church is in a Garden place, weeping
over Your Harvest, for we know their end
The clock is ticking away; the horses' hooves are pawing and
the trumpet will sound for Your Bride to ascend
It's the finish of the Church Age, and the coming Tribulation;
we see "the bridge is out;" we must warn them
The world is becoming darker and darker as the Church holds
back the night; it's the truth and not a whim
You are waking Your beloved to come talk with You by the
light of the moon; it's a trek into the holy deep
Will You find Your Bride awake when the last sheep is found, or
will You again want an hour, when all are "Asleep!"

"LOVE"

This is a Word from the Lord to His beloved:

"Come to the pillow of softness and rest your head in My arms," says the Lord.
I have never left you, but sometimes you feel not My presence. I am beckoning
you closer, My beloved ones. Only in Me do you find rest; only in Me do you
know peace; only in Me will you find real Joy. I have treasures that you know
not of; I have secrets to behold; I have illuminations for this hour that I long
to reveal.   Come closer, and feel My heartbeat, abide at My feet, and listen
to My whispers.   Your trials are almost over; your times in the desert will be
turned into an oasis of waterfalls of love from My heart to yours. I have loved
 you with an everlasting  love, and it has only begun. My arms are open wide;
run into them, and let Me  hold you, for I love you, My beloved ones. I love you."
 Says the Lord of Hosts.

Do you feel the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ?  You can, right now! You can experience His love, His Spirit, His power, His protection, and His redemption. All you have to do is repent honestly and sincerely of all of your sins.  Ask Him to forgive you of everything in your life that has displeased Him, that evil and wrong, and tell Him you receive Him as your Savior.  Ask Him to cover you with His blood, and tell Him you will live for Him all of your life, and that you will be a witness for Him. Call out to Him; call His name, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!"

Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit, and you will speak in a language you have never learned, as His Spirit gives you the utterance.  Then, go have someone baptize you with these words spoken over you, "By the profession of your faith in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; I now baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins."  Then, be completely immersed under the water; when you come up, you will be a "new creation;" all of your sins are forgiven and washed away.  He remembers them no more!  (This is in obedience to the Word of God in the Holy Bible, Acts 2, Acts 8, Acts 10, and Acts 19)  The Book of Acts is where the Church began, and this is where we go in the Bible to find out what to do to be saved.)

God bless you, beloved one!  It is the Spirit of Jesus Christ living in you that will raise your body on the day of the rapture.  (Please see Romans 8:11)  Thank you for joining us in worship of our Lord Jesus Christ!  It is Love online, Joy online, Peace online, Power online, and Worship online!  You may even join PromiseLand Church online; please go to promiselandchurch.net.  Joining our Church can be done there, as well as giving of love offerings and tithes.  We love you and care for you; send us your prayer requests.  May the Lord bless and keep you and His face smile upon you.  Rejoice in His Love; He's coming back for us, that where He is, we may be also

"Glory's Price""

"The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain
and stay here, and I will give you the
tablets of stone, with the law and commands I have
written for their instruction."
(Exodus 24:12)

"And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and got him up into the mount:
and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights."
(Exodus 24:18)

Moses waited, alone, on the cliff of a mountain, for forty days and forty nights in order to receive the Ten Commandments.  Waiting for the Holy God to appear is costly to the human being.  We are not accustomed to "waiting" for anything; we have fast food, fast remote controls, fast cars, fast microwaves, fast lines in the grocery store  ...  We are living in a generation which is not in sinc with a "tarrying" God.  We have much to learn about "Glory's Price."

The people of Israel got antsy waiting those forty days down at the base of the mountain, and they reverted to the sinful nature by molding a golden calf, stripping naked, and worshiping the calf, entertaining themselves with all sorts of erotic debauchery, while Moses was in a misty cloud like the Holy of Holies, the presence of God so thick he could barely see, in a realm such as people never enter; a holiness surrounded him and engulfed him so that he could scarcely breathe, so powerful was it that he was awed and fearful at the same time; it was the holy omnipotent angelic-abiding, ethereal climate-changing presence of the Almighty God.

"When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the
mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, "Come, make us gods who
will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt,
we don't know what has happened to him."
(Exodus 32:1)

"When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger
burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to
pieces at the foot of the mountain."
(Exodus 32:19)

Who could blame Moses?  He had spent 40 days and nights on a lonely cold mountain ledge waiting for the presence of God, and then when the God of eternity burst through the mist with a profound unearthly motion of writing upon stone in a whirlwind of flashing electricity, the friction of the Holy finger etching with lightning strokes of power the Ten Commandments ... Moses was struck mute and spellbound; this was a moment when he wondered if he was dreaming, or was he really seeing what he was seeing  ...  It was real, the tablets of the law were left hot, and still sizzling from the burning engravings, in his shaking anxious arms, and they let him know he was wide awake.  He had been in the presence of the Almighty Glory of God.

"So Moses chiseled out two stone tablets like the first ones and went up
Mount Sinai early in the morning, as the LORD had commanded
him; and he carried the two stone tablets in his hands."
(Exodus 34:4)

Moses reclimbed that mountain to present the new tablets to a waiting God.  It happens today, that we come out of the presence of God to be suddenly approached with the sins, wars, hatred, evils, and abhorrence of life in earth.  But, "Glory" has a price; it's called going back again, waiting, abiding, climbing, obeying, listening  ... spending time alone on a craggy aerie.  Moses dealt with the children of Israel and their sin, but the price of Glory went up when he broke the tablets.  The Lord commanded him to chisel out two more tablets and bring them to Him with a wooden chest.

"I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets,
which you broke. Then you are to put them in the chest."
(Deuteronomy 20:2)

This was the Ark of the covenant, the chest, and it is symbolic of our hearts.  We hide the commandments in our hearts that we might not sin against Him.  "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."   (Psalm 119:11)

"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter."  (Proverbs 25:2)  "Glory" means a state of wondrous  splendor, magnificence, or honor.  God's hidden things dwell in a place high up, a place in the deep.  Huh?  God is high and God is low; we find Him as we bow low to steps one below the other; and we find Him when we climb the mountain and sit alone in the mist of cloudy aura; we see Him in the darkest midnight when His light breaks the ebony hues; we hear Him in the whispers of gentle breezes and in the shout of an oncoming collision; He IS the depth we must search and the height to which we must ascend; He IS.

You say, "What are you talking about?"  I'm talking about the price we must pay to see His glory.  Moses paid it, and He saw it; many today have fasted forty days, but then, just like Moses, we have to reenter earth's atmosphere, and we're affected by earth's sin and evil.  Is it possible to reach a place of "in earth as it is in heaven" that continues on, that flourishes and blooms to a mighty crescendo, that produces miracles, signs, and wonders, that brings us to a revival such as earth has never seen?  If so, it will cost us all something, fasting and prayer; it will take from us, but it will give to us; it's "Glory's Price."

"Pillars of Power"

"For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active,
operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword,
penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit,
and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting
and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart."
  (Hebrews 4:12)

Every word, every scripture, every God-breathed verse in the
Holy Bible sends forth His glory and power
We are bathed with the mind of Christ every time we read His
Word; it is our fortress and strong tower
What would Almighty God say to His people today?  He has
already said it; it was penned by Holy breath
It is life to our spirits, instruction and guidance with precision to
walk this course with no fear of eternal death
If we obey His Word, and we're filled with His Spirit, and baptized
in His name, we know where we'll be going
The scriptures are our road map to the golden streets, if we heed
its power with our climbing and growing
We have a date with the Author, to meet Him in the air and in
1/42nd of a second, we'll leave the ground to fly
We're listening for the trumpet, and expecting our flight; it's a
promise of escape by the Thief in the sky
Hiding His Word in our hearts keeps us from Sin, if we hold fast to
His precepts and His Holy righteous commands
We must focus our eyes on the Lord above and not bow to the
world's lusts and sinful wicked demands
We shall behold Him face to face, the One whom our souls love,
with Him we'll live forever, as He promised
His Holy Word is Truth; Jesus Christ is alive and waiting for His
beloved Bride; we must not be a doubting Thomas
So, climb, hunger, seek, obey, reach, witness, and remain faithful
to the Lover of your souls; He IS coming back
Ward off the devil's temptations with God's Word, His Blood, and
His Name; recognize the enemy and his attack
We are on the Home stretch, the last lap of our journey; we must
be strong and unmovable, an example in this hour
The honest hearts are looking to be rescued, and we're the ones,
who know God and His "Pillars of Power."
