"PASSION"

Abraham

"And when Abram heard that his brother was taken
captive, he armed his trained servants, born in
his own house, three hundred and eighteen,
and pursued them unto Dan."
(Genesis 14:14)

Abraham was the Father of many Nations, the monument of faith in the Bible, and he had PASSION!  Everything Abraham did, he did it with gusto, whether it was rescuing Lot and his family, paying his tithes to Melchizedek, or climbing that dreaded mountain on that early morn to sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac; he did it all with stalwart, unwavering, irrefutable and steadfast Passion.  Passion means: "intense emotion."  Passion is not reserved for the erotic; it is recognized at its best in the hearts of those who love God and His Word, who love God's world of lost souls, who do what they do with flame in their eyes, a storm in their feet, white knuckles upon their sword, and a heart that beats to the sound of the prophetic clock  ...

Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac

Abraham exuded Passion even from his little toe!  He "rose early" on the morning he was to sacrifice Isaac; His love for God was the foundation of his obedience.  We know the story; just as he raised the knife to kill Isaac, the angel of the Lord grabbed his knife-clad hand and stopped him.  The real sacrifice was the ram caught in the thicket; it was a test of the greatest degree  ... the man of Passion passed  ...
The tests of God are often the most prevalent in the lives of the "Passionate."  Why?  They have a heart after God.  They are called and chosen to do mighty, holy, and extraordinary things; they are tried in strange and hard ways; they are those who are most often misunderstood; they are trailblazers, forerunners, and prophetic giants.  They are those who, when standing in a crowd, have that far-off look  ...  they are here, but not here; they're way ahead of their time; their words make little sense to most people, and many think they are odd  ...  They are prophetic Abraham's in a 2013 technological jungle, with a 3013 vision and a heavenly body in an earthly world.

Abraham rescues Lot and his family

Abraham's are not timid or shy, even though they have that humble and somewhat meek demeanor; they will fight for their families and their flocks; they stand up for what's right; they move with the wind of the Spirit, and the whispers of God are their constant and ever present companions.  They are driven, moved, powerful and stirred individuals that are not of this world, because their "Passion" takes them to heights untold, to far realms beyond the known, the dimensions of mystery, "deeps" of desire in God, and they know nothing else  ...  except Almighty God and His Will  ...  They have that far off look, that preoccupation with "somewhere else," that desire to know the Lover of their souls in the depth and height of His very essence, that posture of "Here I am," that "just been on the mountain demeanor," that "this world is not my home" stance, and they seem to not fit in with the so-called "normal" of this world  ...

Abraham

The one with "Passion" believes large thoughts, dreams ethereal dreams, sees with "God vision," and if God said it, "IT IS."  Don't you dare TOY with the one with Passion, for his stare will stop you COLD!  The Spirit who moves him is the Spirit who made him/her who he is  ...  and he/she is "real" to the marrow of his bones.

Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac

Hey, age, circumstances, and obstacles don't stop the one with Passion!  In fact, very little stops the one with Passion; he's driven by a high hand of purpose, an unseen voice of anointing, a power beyond reason, "a reason beyond power," a Holy calling reserved for few, and he will not be hindered.

Abraham

Men like Abraham still live, still dream, still march to a different drummer, still move in years beyond us, still pass the tests of faith, still move in the heavenlies while living in the earthlies, still walk in prophetic shoes of time outside of time, and who live, breathe, think, fight, carry, embrace, provoke, establish, and ARE the epitome of "PASSION"  ...

"Climbers Never Give Up!"

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials
of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your
faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have
its full effect, that you may be perfect and
complete, lacking in nothing."
(James 1:2-4)

We're in the fight of our lives, and the war for our souls, as time
grows short, and the Word of prophecy unfolds
Climb on, O ye warriors of truth, your role is important, and
your witness will loose all those in blindfolds
It's not a battle for sissies; satan is on the prowl for the weak and
the fence dwellers, so let your Yea be Yea
For the end is near; the trumpet will sound; the horses will ride;
we're set for the course of Doomsday
Don't bow to the world or yield to temptation, because the clock is
ticking down, and the Nations are lining up
It's now time for radical faith, extravagant consecration, holy
 ascension, and unlimited worship
Hold fast to your sword, kick the devil in the teeth, and stand for
what's right, for redemption draweth nigh
We're about to hear the sound calling us in the blink of an eye;
we'll leave earth's dust, and to the Lord we'll fly
It's a promise of escape for the righteous and beloved, to meet our
Groom in the air, and head for home
And we'll bid this old world goodbye with a swoosh and a flash; it
will be the Rapture, and a hastened shalom
So, don't you be weary, dear Saint, for we can feel the ground
trembling, as the horses hooves are pawing
Revelation's words are anxious, as prophecy feels its destiny, and
the earth's honest hearted feel a drawing
The Word will be fulfilled with the onset of millions missing, and
the antichrist's arrival, with a message of peace
He'll be charismatic and magnetic, but all the while he's plotting
evil and destruction; he's the epitome of a beast
Don't get left behind, whatever you do, dear one; repent and
baptized in Jesus' name; be filled with His Spirit
Then, you can climb higher with confidence that the Lord will
remove you before judgment; you won't fear it
When the war gets hot, use your authority in the name of Jesus, to
loose the angels, and bind the evil
For we are the Lord's army; we're strong in the power of His
might; we're not in the least feeble
Remember, God's angels fight with us, and we cannot lose, for it is
written, we do not get more than we can bear
We're the chosen of the Lord, and if He says so, the devil can't
touch us or harm us, not even a hair
Look up, children of the King; we're in this to win it, and we'll
bring in the harvest, for the Gospel's sake
We will triumph in power and victory; we ain't no ways tired;
for WE are the warriors of the faith
Keep your eyes on the destination, your hands reaching up for
higher crags, no matter how steep and abrupt
You're in this to stand on the apex, looking for your Savior
and remember, "Climbers NEVER Give Up!"

"Let My People Go!"

"And afterward, Moses and Aaron went in, and told
Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let My People Go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness."
(Exodus 5:1)

Moses and Pharaoh

"Let My People Go!"  Sounds like something that needs saying today, doesn't it?  Instead of Pharaoh, we need to say it to satan, to the governments, to diseases that have atttached to God's people, to addictions, to human traffickers, to Drug Lords, to depressions and oppressions, to demons, to those holding people against their wills all over the world, to public schools refusing prayer, to the squelching of religious freedoms everywhere  ...  The Holy Lord God screams His demand from the portals of heaven's throne room, "Let My People Go!"  We should know, though, that everything is being set up for the antichrist and the seven year tribulation period.  What must we do?  Repent. be filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins  ...  then, live holy, pray for a pure heart, witness the gospel, prepare your wedding garment by winning souls, keep your lamp oiled and full  ...  and cry "Maranatha!"

Moses, before Pharaoh

Do you wish you had a Moses to stand up for you?  What has you bound?  Do you need a release; do your debts have a death grip on your nerves; does your failing marriage keep you from sleep; are teen problems the source of your tears; have lay-offs caused your job loss or unemployment?  Do you want these strongholds to "let go" of you?  You have ONE greater than Moses  ...  the Lord Jesus Christ, who IS, and Was, and IS to come!

"Father, in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and by Your Spirit, I command strongholds of
every kind, of every source, of every root and nature to
"Let Go" of God's people NOW!  'I command you, satan,
by the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and the Word of
Jesus Christ, to get your filthy hands off God's people's
homes, bodies, families, jobs, finances, minds, spirits,
walk, warfare, strength, and salvation.'  Lord Jesus,
I speak peace now to the hearts, minds, and spirits of
Your people; let them feel your love, your power, and
your strength right now.  Deliver them from all infirmities,
attacks, temptations, and fears; dispatch Your angels
to protect, move and overshadow Your people."  I pray
this in the powerful and Holy Name of Jesus Christ."  Amen

Expect the answers to this prayer; believe Him for your situation, and begin to thank Him for blessing you.  You say, "But, it hasn't happened yet?"  Faith is, as my very wise Pastor says, "Grabbing hold of nothing and holding on until it becomes something."

Moses and Pharaoh

Moses kept going back and kept going back; every time Pharaoh said NO, a new plague would occur, and God would send Moses back again.  The Lord says in His Word to us, "Occupy till I come."  That literally means "to hold a position or rank," and the military definition is: "take over the place."  Hey, are WE, as Christians, supposed to "take over" planet earth?  'You betcha' as Sarah Palin would say.  We have the mandate to take the gospel to every corner of the globe, every nation, kindred and tongue, to be the light in the darkness all around us, to spread the power of the love of the Lord Jesus Christ from Sea to shining Sea, to wrap our arms around every person in planet earth  ...  That's what Christianity is  ...  Loving others as Jesus Christ our Lord first loved us, and placing the hands of the world in the hands of the Lord  ...

Moses and Pharaoh

What a leader!  What a man!  What a deliverer!  What a Prophet!  What a holy man of God!  Pharaoh finally let the people go, and then turned around and chased them to the Red Sea, which Moses had parted by the power of God, for the Israelites to pass over.  When Pharaoh and his armies and chariots headed into the dry ground with ocean walls on either side, the waters came together and drowned them.  Ah, the Miracles of God, wrought at the hands of Moses  ...

"But now, if You will, forgive their sin--and,
if not, please blot me out from your Book
which You have written!"
(Exodus 32:32)

This is, (Exodus 32:32), to me, one of the most profound and moving scriptures in the entire Bible.  While Moses was in the misty presence of God upon the aerie crag of the mountain receiving the Ten Commandments, the people of Israel got antsy, waiting those forty days, and they made themselves a golden calf, stripped naked, and began worshiping the calf and indulging in sin and lewd behavior of all that can be imagined.  Moses came down from the mountain, saw their debauchery, slammed the tablets written by God, to the ground in a fit of holy rage, and Almighty God was ready to destroy the people.  But, Moses' love for the people caused him to pray that most powerful of all prayers, "Forgive them, but if not, then blot me out of thy Book."  In other words, Moses was willing to go to Hell, if God would not forgive the people.  Incredible, isn't it?  I have wept and wept over this scripture.  What love could be greater, except the love of Jesus Christ our Lord for all mankind.

The Lord is a "just" God; His answer to Moses was this, "And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my Book."  (Exodus 32:33)  The Lord had mercy on the people, but reserved the right to chastise those who sinned.  But, could WE pray that kind of prayer for our friends and for our neighbors, for coworkers and for family, for strangers and for Nations  ...  or for the world  ...  It makes me want to weep all over again  ...  O, does the world have a deliverer such as Moses, today?  Who will stand in the gap?  Who will weep between the porch and the altar for the lost and dying?  Who loves?  Who Loves?  Who LOVES like that?  It's the kind of godly love that could transform the world  ...

Do we have One who climbs the mountain today, waits for the writing finger of God, prays on His knees for Nations of peoples he does not know, paces the floor in the dark of night for the souls of humans, lays his hands on the Nations of the globe with tears of love and mercy, stalks the devil and his imps to flee from his flock and from the children of God, gathers the Nations in a New Church Order, divides the world into Regions in a masterful plan of salvation, prays the Word and performs it, and shouts day by day, minute by minute the cry of a stalwart Moses:  "Let My People Go!"  ...  We do!  His heart is as big as the world  ...

"ESCAPE!"

"And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took
counsel to kill him: But their laying await was known
of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to
kill him.  Then the disciples took him by night, and
let him down by the wall in a basket."
(Acts 9:23-25)

Saul, who was later called the mighty Apostle Paul, went from persecuting and killing Christians to becoming the greatest advocate for the Lord Jesus Christ known to man.  He had encounter with Almighty God; he was knocked off his horse and blinded.  The Apostle Peter was sent to him to lay hands on him to receive his sight, and then he received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus' name.  After that, there was no more convincing him, he had met the lover of his soul, Jesus Christ, and he spent his life, now, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, winning soul after soul, and everywhere he went, he left the people glad, mad, and definitely stirred to the cores of their souls.  He spent his life telling everyone about the saving grace of the Lord, and running for his life, "escaping" tike after time, with a lot of beatings, stonings, shipwrecks, prisons, and persecutions in between.  He "escaped" a lot to tell the world how to "Escape" a hot burning Hell!

Apostle Paul being stoned

Paul understood, as do Christians today, as do the Church of the living God today, that we must all prepare for eternity, and even sooner than that, the Rapture of the Church.  We must prepare the world for the day of ESCAPE!  The Lord will return in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in 1/44th of a second, and the dead in Christ shall rise first  ... then, we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with Him in the clouds and so shall we ever be with the Lord!  (I Thessalonians 4:16-18 and I Corinthians 15:52)  It will be an ESCAPE like no one has ever seen before in the history of the world.  Afterwards  ...  cars, planes, trains, trucks, will be crashed with no drivers; dogs will be sitting with leashes and no owners; offices will suddenly see workers and bosses who have disappeared before their very eyes; children will disappear along with a husband here and wife there  ...  all over the world at the same twinkling of an eye  ...  people suddenly, abruptly, with no warning or inkling  ... disappear!  What is it?  ESCAPE!

"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted
worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of man."
(Luke 21:36)

Why is there going to be a Rapture?  God will judge the earth for Sin, for non-repentance, for people who neglected their souls, for immoral illicit ungodly behavior, for evil  ... but before that, He will remove His own, the people who have repented of their sins, received His Spirit, were baptized in His name, and lived holy lives before Him  ...  The Rapture is the ESCAPE for the saved, the redeemed, the godly and righteous before the Lord.  The bottom line?  "Don't get left behind!"

"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts
be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life,
and so that day come on you unawares."
(Luke 21:34)

There is only One who holds the world in His hands, only One who can make a way of escape for those who will come to Him and serve Him, only One who knows the day and the hour when it's all over  ...  His name is Jesus Christ.  We must ever be mindful that there is a Lord over all; there is a Creator who will take back His beloved earth; there is a King of Kings and Lord of Lords; there is One who blinks and the heavens roll, who nods and the mountains tremble, who speaks and the rains fall, who moves a finger and the universe responds  ...  He's the same One who said, "Where were you when I formed the foundation of the world?"  He is the soon coming One, Jesus Christ!  He looks different now; He's not bloody and beaten  ...  He 's alive and well; He has hair like wool, feet like brass, and eyes aflame!  He reigns in power and glory and the earth is HIS!

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know
on what day your Lord will come."
(Matthew 24:42)

He will come at a time when we think not, at a time like it was in the days of Noah, when people were eating and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage  ...  We must be alert, watching, preparing our hearts and souls  ...  and our wedding garments.  Huh?  We are the Bride, the Church, and her wedding garments are the souls she wins, her witness to the world about the saving grace of Jesus Christ our Lord.  We must keep our lamps oiled and ready, so that we will be aware when the trumpet sounds for the mighty "ESCAPE!"
