"The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away
from being a city,
and it shall be a ruinous heap."
(Isaiah 17:1)
The dispensation of Grace and endtime Prophecy ... They're "Strangers In The Night." The Night? Don't you think it's dark? The wars, Syria, the conditions around the world, the increase of inclement weather, dire predictions about the end, and the move of God in every Nation tell us that something is going on. What is it? The Word of God and destiny have met each other, and Grace is about to fade into the darkness as the Big One hits and the Rapture occurs, leaving behind the Tribulation Period with a whole lot of people scared and wishing again for Grace.
You say, "What kind of God would let all this happen?" The kind of God who loves YOU utterly! Huh? He is not willing that ANY be lost or perish; every person must walk the road of the cross. Jesus Christ paid it all that we might partake of newness of life, living waters from springs that never run dry, beauty and glory in paradise forever. I'm saying that again; He is not willing that ANY human, in any country, in any Nation, be lost or perish, because the Bible says it. But, we should know that from the very beginning, we were informed that He is Holy, and He wants us to be Holy. SIN and a Holy God will NEVER coexist, NEVER. So, the Holy Bible has predicted and prophesied what would happen to those who loved their pleasures more than God, who loved SIN more than holiness, who refused to turn from their wicked ways and live in peace, love, and walk holy before Him.
No one will have a case when they stand before Him, and make no mistake, every human being will stand before the mighty God, the Holy One of Israel, and be judged. No excuse will hold water, because the Holy Bible told us all what we must do to be saved, told us all the sequence of events, told us all what will happen in the great and terrible Tribulation period, when God judges the ungodly. What can we do? Pray, repent of our sins with sincerity and sorrow, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and be filled with the Holy Ghost and speak with tongues as His Spirit gives the utterance.
Damascus
Why so much destruction, war, and desolation? The Bible tells us why: "Then at last the people will think of their Creator and have respect for the
Holy One of Israel. They will no longer ask their idols for help or worship what
their own hands have made. They will never again bow down to their Asherah poles
or burn incense on the altars they built.” Isaiah 17:7-8 (NLT) It's all about bringing people to God, and back to God. When Almighty God says He is not willing that any be lost; He means it! That means our Creator will do and allow whatever is necessary to stir, move, draw, and reach people's hearts for Him. We must put this in perspective ... time in earth is approximately 70 to 80 years generally, but time in eternity, which is very real and just as real as earth, is forever! If something must happen in a small space of time to assure salvation, peace and love forever, it would be wise to do it, wouldn't it? God looks at time much differently than we do; WE are limited to earth and now; He is not!
We, in America, along with other Christians everywhere, pray for the people of Lebanon, Syria, Israel, and the world, for that matter. Does God care, even though Prophecy speaks of such turmoil, war, and terror? Oh, Yes, He longs to hold every soul in His arms, wipe the tears away, heal their hurts and wounds, and set them free by His Blood, His Word and His Name. It's not too late; there's still a glimpse of daylight Grace before the utter darkness. Won't you come to the Lord Jesus Christ and give your heart to Him? Even if war is all around you, He can give you peace within, protect you, send His angels to watch over you and lead you to safety. He loves You!
"Will he hear my prayers?" you ask. Yes. Anyone, anywhere, who calls out to Him to give Him their hearts, to worship Him in Spirit and in truth, He hears them, and comes to them in Spirit. This old world is shaking and reeling under the pressure of endtime Prophecy, the ending of Grace and the beginning of judgment, the endtime Revival to gather all into the fold who will come, and the anticipation of the sound of the trumpet, when we shall meet the Lord in the air in the Rapture, or catching away, of the Bride of Christ to be with Him forever.
Depiction of the Lord Jesus Christ
Biblical Prophecy is not meant to hurt us, but to stir us, shake us, and awaken us to the "time" in which we are living. Over 600 million people have been filled with the Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit worldwide; people are being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ every day; people are giving their hearts to the Lord in great numbers in every Nation; WHY? He's coming back! The Lord Jesus Christ said He will come back; He said He will judge the world; He said He will make a way of escape for the righteous before He pours out the Tribulation judgment, and He will. When Jesus Christ enters your heart, you will feel Him, sense His presence, know His love and protection, and He will never leave you nor forsake you!
Grace and Prophecy, are "Strangers In The Night," but, grab onto Grace while there's still a sliver of light. Grace says no matter what you have done, if you ask for the Lord's forgiveness, it will be done. Grace is the time when God is patient and longsuffering, but it's coming to an end. He's reaching out to You, won't you take His hands and give Him your heart? He loves You!
