Ezekiel 21:5

"The Sword Of The LORD"

"That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return anymore."  You've never seen a War until you see "The Sword of the LORD!" 

Matthew Henry's commentary says, "The sword glitters to the terror of those against whom it is drawn.  It is a sword to others, a rod to the people of the Lord.  God is in earnest in pronouncing this sentence, and the prophet must show himself in earnest in publishing it."  When the Lord God Almighty takes on a battle, He Wins!  ...  Every time!

"Therefore, groan son of man!  Groan before

them with broken heart and bitter grief."

(Ezekiel 21:6)

What the world needs now is "groaners!"  When the LORD draws His sword and declares War, as in Ezekiel and Isaiah 52:10, "The LORD hath made bare His Holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God;" it's time to groan; it's time for people to fall on their faces before an angry God, and weep for the nations, plead for mercy upon a people who have ignored their God, groan in prayer for the souls of men, beg for the sword of God to "spare" a wayward generation, and with salty tears, water the dust of the earth for the creative holiness to return to the time when it was formed.

"Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth;

for I am God, and there is no other."

(Isaiah 45:22)

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world; He IS the hope of a world in chaos, a people in lust and immorality, a growing sentiment of malice and greed, a people's mindset of killing whole nations, and a tormented and evil generation.  Reach up to the Lord Jesus Christ, receive Him as your Savior, ask Him to fill you with His Spirit and you will speak with tongues when His Spirit enters your body, and then, be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.  

You say, "Why would I want to come to someone with a sword drawn?"  He fights for YOU!  He fights for YOUR soul!  He fights against sin, and destruction of the very creation He formed by His own hand!  You will never find another who will stand up for You, protect You, comfort You, deliver You, such as will the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord God of the universe!  

"And I, because of their actions and imaginations,

am about to come and gather all nations and

tongues, and they will come and see my glory."

(Isaiah 66:18)

 There is only One God; He came, died, rose again, and is alive forevermore!  He said He will come and rescue those who belong to Him before the terrible judgment falls upon the earth; He said He will come again and every knee shall bow, every tongue will confess that He IS LORD  ...  His name is Jesus Christ, and He will do what He said He will do  ...  He's coming for a people who are looking for His return, who are "awake" and alert, for we know not the day nor the hour  ...  but He's coming!

The sword of the LORD makes War, declares judgment, moves the Nations, tears down kingdoms, reigns in righteousness, trembles in the hands of Glory, cuts the snaky tentacles of evil, glitters in the declared sun, manifests the prolificacy of justice, and "protects" His own!

There's only One who has innumerable Angels at His beck and call, who can subdue the earth with a blink, who has all knowledge, all wisdom, all might  ... the earth is His and it will bow before Him by the authority of His Name, His Blood, and His Word  ...  proclaimed and enforced by none other than "The Sword of The Lord!"
