"He Knows All Secrets!"

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”

 The Samaritan woman said to him, “How can you, a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan woman, for a drink? (For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.)  Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”  Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”  The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.”   Jesus said to her, “Go call your husband and come back.”  The woman answered and said to him, “I do not have a husband.” Jesus answered her, “You are right in saying, ‘I do not have a husband.’  For you have had five husbands, and the one you have now is not your husband. What you have said is true.”  The woman said to him, “Sir, I can see that you are a prophet.  Jesus said to her, “Believe me, woman, the hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and truth.”  The woman said to him, “I know that the Messiah is coming, the one called the Anointed; when he comes, he will tell us everything.”  Jesus said to her, “I am he, the one who is speaking with you.”

There are NO secrets with Jesus Christ!  He IS all, knows all, sees all, and "If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there."  (Psalm 139:8)  Not a soul in earth can hide from Almighty God.  So it was with the "woman at the well."  Little did she know that when she arrived at the well that day that her life would never be the same after she met That Man.  She knew about men, was well-accustomed to men, but This Man was different; This Man came to love her, not use her; He came to give her a love she had never known  ...  pure, holy, and undefiled.  This Man was none like she had ever known.  When He looked into her eyes; the look consumed her soul  ...  the "look" was Holy  ...

"My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken

me, the spring  of living water, and have dug their own cisterns,

broken cisterns that cannot hold water."

(Jeremiah 2:13)

The people committed two evils:  First, they forsook God, the ever- flowing fountain of Life, light, and love.  Secondly, they hewed out broken cisterns: they joined themselves to idols, from whom they could receive no spiritual good.  Clarke's commentary says it best, "Their conduct was the excess of folly and blindness. What we call here broken cisterns, means more properly such vessels as were ill made, not staunch, ill put together, so that the water leaked through them."  It's a metaphor taken from springs, which never run dry; that's why they're called "living," because they never cease, but anyone putting their trust in anyone or anything other than Almighty God is a "broken cistern."  The Lord Jesus Christ is Holy, steady, faithful, filling us and overflowing us with "living" waters, which quicken dead sinners, and revive the spirits, souls, and bodies of all who partake.  The Lord Jesus Christ never leaves us nor forsakes us; people are fickle; idols are empty images; only the Lord Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, bled and died on a cross like a criminal, and rose again the third day, is Real and living within us, when we receive His Spirit.

"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint."

(Jeremiah 31:25)

 

 

Ah, have you ever felt totally refreshed?  Have you ever known or ever experienced a lifting of your spirit and soul as though you were soaring in gentle cool winds of glory and beauty?  Have you ever felt clean and innocent, free, whole and unburdened?  Have you ever known the feeling of pure holy love from above?  It's the most wonderful thing you can imagine!  It's called the infilling of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Almighty God living within you.  When you are filled with His Spirit, you will speak in another language you have never learned, as His Spirit gives you the utterance, and it is Joy unspeakable and full of Glory!  Then, when you are baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, you are FREE, you have become clean and innocent with all of your sins washed away  ...  you feel light as a feather  ...

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst

for righteousness, for they will be filled."

(Matthew 5:6)

 

It's all about hunger and thirst.  Hungry, thirsty people have no manners; they shove the crowd away, talk with their mouths full, grab at the food and drink with blazing greedy eyes and salivating lips; they lie themselves down prostrate on the floor, not caring who's looking; they abandon all inhibitions  ...  they want it, and they're gonna' get it!  That's how we should be toward the God of the universe  ...  falling on our faces, crying out with insatiable hunger, reaching for Him with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strengths  ...  He IS God, and we are but "dust," needing a Savior, needing redemption, needing forgiveness and love  ...  we're hungry and thirsty  ...  for Him.

"Wade Right Out!"

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you 
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye 
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
(Acts 2:38)

It's a healing stream that flows from God above to reaching souls,

 who are hungry for everlasting love
He bought us with His blood and when we're baptized in His name,
we are as free as a fly away dove
It's time for mankind to jump in the river that never runs dry; it's

 the power of the Holy Ghost and fire

A waterfall, it is, pouring from portals of glory to all who repent

 and wade in the waters, leaving the mire

Healing waves cover us as we venture deeper into His Love; He

 designed it that way; we bow to climb

To miss His love, His forgiveness, His power, and His healing

 touch would be a travesty and a crime

He's beckoning His beloved to come to His arms before it's

 everlasting too late, and the end has come

Please don't ignore the Lord's nudges; don't tune out His wooing

 whispers, as one who is cold in heart and numb

The signs are all around us; the Church Age is almost over; and

 the coming Apocalypse is even at the door

It's time to mount up as eagles, stand in righteousness, obey His

 Holy Word, fly higher than ever and soar

He's coming for His Bride, adorned in her wedding garment, and

 prepared for her groom, The Lord of Lords

We have an appointment in the air; we'll lay down our armor,

 leave behind the war, and fling away our swords

What an event that will be, the day we meet our Lover face to face,

 and fly away to that ethereal holy place

It's written in the Book; the Bible spells it out and warns us to be

 ready at a time we think not; it's a settled case

We've waited for so long for our hope to arrive; we're crying

 "Maranatha," and scanning the night skies

It's best that we gather the Harvest of loved ones, friends, and

 strangers, so we'll have no unsaid goodbyes

For when the trumpet sounds, we'll leave with the call; the world
 will think it thundered, but we'll go with a shout

Come one, come all; the waters are fine, head for the rivers of

 healing, deliverance, freedom; and "Wade Right Out!"

We're in Deep Waters!

"Purity"

"Keep thy heart with all diligence;

for out of it are the issues of life."

(Proverbs 4:23)

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, says the

Word of Luke 6:45 to all who will humbly hear

And the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it, was the  

 Word from Jeremiah, which makes it very clear

We have a responsibility to guard our hearts, and keep them

holy and pure before the Almighty Lord our God

It must be holy and clean as we hide the Word there, keeping it

from the forces of evil and from being flawed

The heart of love is kind, suffers long, speaks no evil, and is the

image of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord

It touches the untouchable, loves the unlovable, reaches the

unreachable; it's the Master's written chord

It's what binds us together and keeps us whole, as couples and as

families in this world and this thing called life

The hearts full of love, and filled with the Lord's Spirit are more

apt to live in peace, and without fury and strife

The heart that's a flame on fire from above, is the heart that seeks

truth in God and the auspices of His Holy Word

It's a heart that can be molded by the One who creates, and it's a

heart that can be moved on, and continually stirred

Play it like a harp, O Lord; and let it sing Your song, for it's 

 in Your hand, as strings of lilting lovely music

Let it be ever in Your grasp, as Your love to the world, so make it

like You, Lord, renew, remake, and infuse it

Trust is the love word that fills our hearts, like the three Hebrew

children, walking with You in the fiery flames

It's all in the heart, the home of our devotion to our Lord; the

 fire that burns, from the power of Your Name

O, the light that emits from our hearts, when once we belong to

Jesus Christ, and of His salvation we partook

We weep with Him over His lost world, and over those who have

turned their backs, and His love they forsook

He's the Lion and the Lamb, come to bring strong love and tender

mercies, of His everlasting love and grace

To a fallen world, searching for peace, freedom from Sin, and to

lay their weary heads in a soft angelic place

Heaven is the glory and the Eden, where we were meant to dwell

in the beginning, with innocence and security

So, we would be very wise to make sure that holiness, love, and

forgiveness, always flow from a heart of "Purity."

"Victory In Jesus!"

"For the Lord your God is going with you!

He will fight for you against your enemies, and 

he will give you victory!’"
(Deuteronomy 20:4)

Do you have it? Are you feeling it? Do you recognize that long awaited breakthrough?  It's called VICTORY!  But, Jesus has to be on your boat!  When we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, through belief in His death burial and resurrection, through obedience to His Word in salvation: Repentance, baptism in His name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as His Spirit gives utterance  ...  then, we can expect His help, His deliverance, His healing, His miracles, His angels, His blessing, His love, and His strength!  It's powerful, unearthly, beyond imagination; it's the very thing the whole world is looking for, but they're searching for it in earth  ...  it is not earthly; it's heavenly; it's "Victory In Jesus!"

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,

 for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

(Deuteronomy 31:6)

The Holy Bible, our sword of the Spirit, the mighty and powerful Word of God, proclaims it; the Spirit of God backs it up; the warring angels of God perform it; the presence of the Lord reveals it  ...  the battle is not ours, it's the Lord's!  It's good to know, isn't it?  What?  The omnipotent Lord our God is our bodyguard; He's our protector; He's our voice in the midnight; He's our peace in the storm; He's our whisper in the terror; He's our Winner of all battles!  He IS!  We have nothing to fear, when Jesus is on our boat.  He's the Holy One of Israel, the Alpha and Omega, the lifter of our souls, the covenant that never ends, the Warrior who never tires, the Winner of ALL Wars  ...  Ah, Jesus Christ our Lord  ...  rest easy, dear one, Jesus is in control!

"The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, 

as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes."

(Deuteronomy 1:30)

Moses can tell us about it; God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, carrying the spoils of the people with them.  Then, He protected them and blessed them for forty years in the desert.  He does the same for you and me.  Has your desert been long, hot and unending?  Have you been in the quiver for eons and in the "wait" mode? Do you wonder if Almighty God even hears you, even knows what you're going through? Have you cried out night and day and it seems the heavens are walled over?  There is a time and a season to every purpose under heaven  ...  VICTORY is in the air, and your prayers have built a monument before God.  If you have led a repentant life, walked before Him in holiness, and obeyed His Word, you're ripe for a miracle!  If you are new to all of this, and you're just now repenting and turning your life around to follow Jesus all the days of your life; you're ripe for a miracle!  If you have stepped out in faith, giving Him all you have with faith that He hears and answers, you're ready for your miracle! 

"Do not be afraid of them; the LORD your God 

himself will fight for you."

(Deuteronomy 3:22)

Have you battled it out in prayer on your knees?  Does it seem as though your enemies have you surrounded?  Have debts, family problems, disease, heartache, job trouble, marriage issues, all mounted up as a huge mountain before you?  Fear not, Your God will help you; your God will open doors you thought were closed; your God will renew the love in your marriage; your God will heal your disease; your God WILL!  By His stripes, we are healed  ... only BELIEVE!  Stand tall, raise your hand in Victory, and receive the blessing of your God!  If He's on your boat, He'll calm your storm!

You're not alone on that boat; Jesus is there!

And, the Lord Jesus Christ says to you, 

"Weeping may endure for a night, 

but Joy comes in the morning!"
