"And without controversy great is the mystery of
godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in
the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world, received up into glory."
(I Timothy 3:16)

This is the mystery: The eternal Spirit could not die upon a cross like a man; He had to make Himself a body. He was born of a woman, a virgin; this is why He was called a "Son;" He died on the cross as a man; He Was and Is the Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ our Lord, "The Flesh of God."
Why is "godliness" a mystery? Barnes' notes states, "The phrase here means that God appeared in human form, or with human nature; and this is declared to be the "great" truth so long concealed from human view, but now revealed as constituting the fundamental doctrine of the gospel."
Jesus Christ is the only God anyone will ever see; ONE sits on the throne. Revelation 21:5 says, "And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful."
Depiction of Mary, the mother of Jesus

Through the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord, we have eternal life, and life more abundantly. The Creator became flesh and dwelt among us; He gave His all to save all; He is not willing that "any" be lost or perish; it is His desire that where He is, we may be also; He longs for His bride, His Church; He's coming back for those who are looking for His return. Maranatha, which means: Come Quickly, Lord Jesus!
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, the One who Was, and Is, and Is to come; we cry for the peace of Jerusalem, the outpouring of Your Spirit, the fulfillment of all things, the consolation of Israel, and the sound of the trumpet. We watch; we pray; we fast and witness; we submit and obey; we climb higher and fall lower upon our knees ... Be it unto us, O, Lord, according to thy Word!
