"He Has The Keys!"

"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold,
I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have
the keys of hell and of death."
(Revelation 1:18)

He conquered death, hell, and the grave; He led captivity captive
 and we live because our Lord and King rose
Death couldn't hold Him; the tomb was not His home; He assumed
 His white robe, ridding Himself of grave clothes
It was the greatest day of the existence of planet earth; the King
 became our Savior, and reigns in holy majesty
To not receive His gift of eternal life, by repentance, baptism in
 His name and the Holy Ghost, is a travesty
The devil screeched with horror as Jesus Christ descended into
 Hell to take dominion and rule the grave
The liar who was cast out of heaven now has no claim; he is a devil
 without a home, so evil and depraved
Almighty God owns it all; He's the Creator and the Judge, the soon
 coming King and the Holy One of Israel
Dominion was seized by The Lord of Lords, and the screams from
 satan told it all; he's wicked, doomed and visceral
Our Sins were bought with a price on a rugged splintered cross,
 and our God bore our pain at great cost
It was His love that drove Him to such a plan; He created man and
 now He must save him, and all of earth's lost
Now, death has no sting for the saint of God's grace; it's simply a
 change of location to an eternal holy place
Soon, we shall behold Him, kneel to cast our crowns and kiss His
 feet, as we look up to finally behold His face
Our cry is, "Maranatha!" and He hears and will comply; His grace
 is being driven away by wickedness and Sin
It's "as it was in the days of Noah;" the evil is taking over and the
 world is becoming a fierce, roaring lions' den
As we see the darkness growing stronger and the moon turning to
 blood, we call out to our Master on bended knees
Then, we remember that Hell has no fury, and the grave holds no
 fear, for Jesus Christ won; "He Has The Keys!"

"The Covenant"

"For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise
it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth."
(Hebrews 9:17)

The Lord Jesus Christ

It was a plot from the beginning.  Huh?  From the moment Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, and perhaps even before that because God is inifinite; the plot was seeded in the mind of the eternal God.  What plot?  The plot to redeem man, the plot to leave an inheritance for mankind, the plot to save creation; it was brilliant, torturous and bloody; it was "The Covenant."

The word "Covenant" is defined as 'conditional promises made to humanity by God.'  God has made many covenants; in the book of Judges, He brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, and promised to be their God and the God of their descendants after them.  The promise of forgiveness of sins by the killing of animals as sacrifices in the Old Testament was a "temporary fix."  The blood from animals sacrificed only "covered" the sins of the people temporarily; they had to keep coming again and again with bullocks and turtle doves, etc.  The God of eternity purposed to become the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world; He became the ultimate sacrifice for every human in earth, and He shed His blood once and for all.  There must be the shedding of blood to remit sins, and the Lord Jesus Christ, paid it all.

The new covenant was when the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross and "that precious blood" still flows to hearts, lives, humans, people of all Nations, kindred and tongues today.  When He said, "It Is Finished;" the inheritance was in force.  What?  We inherited "eternal life."  He paid the cost; all we have to do is repent of our sins, ask Him to be our Savior, be baptized in His name and receive the Holy Ghost, His Spirit.  It was a promise made to creation that if we come to Him in humility and sorrow for ungodly sins that He would forgive us, remember those sins no more, and give us life everlasting that where He is, we may be also.

"Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out
of all nations you will be my treasured possession.
Although the whole earth is mine."
(Exodus 19:5)

The Holy Bible is full of many of our Holy God's promises, covenants, and conditions for the favor of God.  When Almighty God makes a promise, you can count on it.  He made a covenant with Noah that the world would never again be destroyed by flood, and to prove it, He sent us the "rainbow."  Every time it rains, "covenant" kicks in!  We see the rainbow, and we say, Thank You, Lord.  It was a covenant, a promise, and that covenant has manifested itself for thousands of years.  The rainbow is an "unconditional covenant" of God and, as such, it should be respected for its intended purpose.  It was Holy then, when it shined over the settled Ark on Mount Ararat, and it's Holy now, when it settles over a covenanted earth.

"The solemn transactions between God and man, are sometimes called a covenant,
here a testament, which is a willing deed of a person, bestowing legacies on
  such persons as are described, and it only takes effect upon his death. Thus Christ died,
 not only to obtain the blessings of salvation for us, but to give power to the disposal
of them. All, by sin, were become guilty before God, had forfeited every thing that is
good; but God, willing to show the greatness of his mercy,
proclaimed  a covenant of grace."
(Matthew Henry)

It's beautiful; is it not?  We serve a Creator who makes covenants and keeps them, who promises that if we will do our part, as in the Ten Commandments, then, He will do His part, who even gives us signs to confirm His promises.  Our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and rose again the third day  ...  then, He said He would catch away His Bride in the air before He sends judgment on the earth.

   "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice
of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
(I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Finally, He said He will come again; He will set His feet upon the Mount of Olives and take back planet earth.  It was always His, but He will prove it once and for all before long.  It's another "covenant," another promise  ...  You can count on it!

"I AM!"

This is a Word from the Lord to His beloved:

"I AM hovering over you, My beloved ones," says the Lord.
"Draw nearer to Me, and lay aside every heavy weight; loose yourself from the world's hold; and free yourself to be raised by Me. I AM so close to you; I will protect you, and you will not be harmed when you are close to Me. Be not afraid of the terrors of this world, for I have provision for you; I have reserved a place for you; I AM your God. Let go of all that ties you to this world, for I have a place for you that where I AM, you may be also. Have I not said this to you? Give, and it shall be given to you; hold back nothing from Me, for time is short and the hand who holds you will come for you; the voice who whispers to you will call you.
 I AM very close." Says the Lord of Hosts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The omnipotent God of Creation is the mighty Lion of Judah,
the Lamb slain for the world's sins, and He reigns
He is Jesus Christ our Lord; He is all Wisdom; and He rules with consummate Glory, over our earthly domain
The universe responds to the whispers and the thunders of His
Holy voice, sent with ethereal authority of power
While the cast out demons bow under His reigning hand, and
our tormentor, the devil, ever fears and cowers
"In earth as it is in heaven" is God's constant raining order and
battle cry to His beloved, His Church, His own
As we pray with warring force through the second heaven, while
we gather the Harvest seeds we've sown
"Come hither" He whispers with longing beckoning love, to His
 surrendered, and loyal marching army
He gives commands and assignments, for His united Bride and
Church, moving in cadence and harmony
The earth quivers and trembles with the impatient pawing, of the
 four horses of the Apocalypse, edgy to ride
It's an hourglass countdown to the final judgment, and a call to all,
in the battle, on the Lord Jesus' side
The heavenly Gates are shining and polished, and the Golden
Streets glitter like sparkling glass in waiting
For the Bride of Christ to burst in from flight, and sit down to
the honeymoon Marriage supper so elating
But, it's a fact; the Church sets the wedding date, and the sands
of prophetic ticking time are quickly falling
While the honest-hearted one is unaware of his destiny, of holy
salvation, bought redemption and calling
We salute You, Lord Jesus, our God and King; and we hasten to
 always please You, our Lion and our Lamb
Our loyalty and consecration is steadfast for the lover of our
 souls, The Holy and The Great "I AM."
"A Thief No More"
One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ?
 Save yourself and us!"  But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God,"
he said, "since you are under the same sentence?  We are punished justly, for we
are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
(Luke 23:39-43)
With Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, it only takes a moment to change one's entire life, to leave a life of thievery, adultery, murder, homosexuality, idolatry, jealousy, and/or every other Sin known to mortals  ...  It only takes two words, "Forgive Me!"  Sincere and heartfelt repentance ushers us into the realm of forgiveness, the first step on the road to salvation.  The thief was saved by "repentance only" in that dispensation; after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Church was established.  And, Peter gave us instructions on the Day of Pentecost for salvation  ...  From repentance, we move on to being filled with the Holy Ghost and speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance; then, baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ   ...  and then, the same promise of paradise applies to us as was made to the one who suddenly was "A Thief No More."
Three were hung on the cross that day; Jesus Christ in the middle, and the two thieves on the right and the left.  It's as it is today; one has a conscience and a heart after God and one does not.  "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.  Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left."  (Matthew 24:38-41)
The thief who did not repent is burning forevermore in eternal fires.  It's a choice; one thief had an honest heart, a conscience that could be stirred, an inkling of eternal destiny, a contrite spirit, a concept of Sin  ...  and he went to Paradise.  Why is it that in a family of people, one is chosen and saved and the others resist?  Why, among two thieves, does one repent and the other sneers?  Why is it, in a world of people, some recognize their need for Almighty God, and others scoff saying, "Where is the sign of His coming?"  It's a matter of the heart.  None of us know what's in our hearts; the Bible says, "the heart is desperately wicked; who can know it?"  We must pray for pure hearts, and that God will cleanse our hearts of all unrighteousness.
Repentance!  It's the requirement of all flesh to enter into the forgiveness of all Sin.  It must be deep, sincere, with sorrow and remorse; it is not a "lay me down to sleep prayer."  When it's done right, we are made clean by the presence of Jesus Christ!  We then acknowledge and accept Him as our Savior and Lord; we ask Him to fill us with His Spirit, and we will speak in tongues as the Spirit gives us utterance.  Why "tongues?"  It is the language of God, the evidence that His Spirit has taken control of the most evil member of our bodies, our own tongues.  Then, we must be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of Sins, and we come up out of the water as new creatures, forgiven, clean, holy, and innocent!  It's so beautiful!
Real repentance  ...  Beautiful in God's eyes!
