"High Mountain Apart"

"And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John

his brother, and bringeth them up into an high

mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and

his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment

was white as the light."

(Matthew 17:1-2)

The mountain calls to the soul searching for God; it's

the yearning to see Him face to face

So the trek and the climb become the goal, to reach that

silent beckoning foggy airspace

It's ethereal and so quiet up there among the clouds,

where freshness and aura dwells

The waiting there is Holy; one can feel the anticipation

that the mysterious presence foretells

Climb, ye warriors, and reach the pinnacle of beauty, and

the apex of heavenly drama

The meeting place of God Almighty, a terrain where He's

most comfortable, the misty high genre

Hear His voice, see His hand move through the breezy

streams of aerie confines

High and lifted up, the Holy One of Israel feels most at

home in lofty pulpit opines

Go to the mountain, and wait upon the cleft of the rock, to

converse with Your Creator

For all you are, all you have, and all you hope to be, lies

in the hands of the title deed maker

Mountain air is conducive to destiny's transformation, and

your own time of revelation

It's the eagle's nest of profound instruction, orders, and

the oracles of illumination

The purpose has been revealed; your course has been set,

you're now an ever flowing fountain

It's because you ascended to holiness and you met your God;

in portals of mystery, high on the mountain

He dwells in the space of smoky high confines, the place that 

draws the hungry soul and determined heart

Only the successful climber reaches the ecstasy beyond, when a

reach for His face is on a "High Mountain Apart."

"State of the Union"

"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be

 at the coming of the Son of Man."

(Matthew 24:37)

What is the "state" of our union today?  Do the precepts and the holy commandments of God reign in the earth?  Are people moving closer to God in this day and time?  Are the Nations unified in peace and order?  Is the earth, as a whole, moving and marching as one?  The answer to all of the these questions is the scripture above.  Nations are in turmoil and war, terror threatens daily; Sin parades in the streets and passes laws continually for purposes against God's pure commandments; babies are killed and aborted by the millions; marriage is no longer Adam and Eve; Christ is being removed from Christmas; organizations that stood for truth and honor are being forced to include Sin  ...  that's the "state" of our union.  However  ...  I said, HOWEVER, the Church  ... I said, the CHURCH of the living God, Jesus Christ our Lord, is thundering forward with power, glory, Holy Ghost revival, miracles, signs, and wonders, holiness and purity in fasting and prayer  ...  And, the world is hearing  ...  the world is heeding, the world is coming together in God, and that's the "state" of that Union!

  

The Church is moving, marching, reaching into every Nation, kindred and tongue with the gospel of Jesus Christ: The virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His life, death, burial, and resurrection; and the requirements for salvation: Repentance, baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.  It matters not how bad it gets, how low humans fall, how unholy the world becomes; the Church will gather them in as soon as they hit bottom  ...  The Church is on the move!  What is the "State of the Union" of the Church?  It's unifying, growing, strengthening, marching, and Winning!

 

You say, "But, how can you be so positive with all of the threats and wars and rumors of wars, the economy of church growth, the moral decay, and the stripping of religious freedoms every day?"  The back of the book says We Win!  The Holy Bible gave us a road map, and when the very worst happens  ...  we'll be GONE!  Huh? The Lord made a way of escape for all of those who receive Him as their Savior and Lord, who repent and are baptized in His name and filled with His Spirit  ...  The Rapture of the Church, or the catching away of the Bride of Christ will occur BEFORE the great and terrible tribulation period, when the wrath of God will be poured out on the earth.  It will be a time of horror like none in the history of the world  ...  and YOU don't want to be here when it happens  ...

Get a good look at this newspaper headline, because it WILL happen!  You say, "They've been saying that for years."  The Bible talks of a One-world government, a One-world currency, and have you noticed governments and News talking about those things in recent months?  When your Bible and your News are saying the same thing  ...  Get ready!

  

We are coming face to face with prophecy. Why are there so many around the world coming to the Lord Jesus Christ, turning their lives over to Him and acknowledging Him as their Savior and Lord?  Why are so many Nations of peoples being filled with the Spirit of Jesus Christ and speaking in tongues?  Why is the Church worldwide coming together in unity and brotherhood, and suddenly seeing "eye to eye?"  He's coming!  The harvest is being reaped, the fields are being gathered in, the systems of government are getting ready for the antichrist, the evil are becoming more evil, and the honest-hearted are coming to Jesus Christ  ...  a line has been drawn in the sand  ...  There are only two sides  ...  Evil and Holy  ...

This is the "State of the Union" we're

"All In The Family"

"And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; 

that they may be one, even as we are one."

(John 17:22)

"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the 

Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness 

with ever-increasing glory, which comes from 

the Lord, who is the Spirit."

(2 Corinthians 3:18) 

It makes you want to shout, doesn't it?  To be "born again" in the Spirit of God, Jesus Christ our Lord, transports us into a new dimension of "family."  If you are a child of the King, a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, born of the water and of the Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ, walking in newness of life, and headed for the "pearly gates;" then, you and me are "family."  Whether you're in Russia, Africa, Japan, America, the Islands of the Sea, or anywhere in the world.  If you believe in the virgin birth, death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, we are brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ, and we are absolutely, positively, forever and unequivocally united as One in Him, and we are "All In The Family."

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and

the glory of the Lord has risen upon you."

(Isaiah 60:1)

You are not in this alone; you have the Lord Jesus Christ holding your hand, and your brothers and sisters holding the other hand; multitudes of angels hover as wispy guardians in your presence; the power of Almighty God enfolds and surrounds you; you have to know that before you call He will answer; you are the center of His very thoughts; He is the lover of your soul, the power and strength of your resolve, and your protection with a cloud by day and a fire by night  ...  I'd say that's "GLORY," wouldn't you?  And, it's called being part of your eternal Family.

  

The Lord brings new things, new dreams, new dimensions, new power, new glory, new wonder, new miracles, new blessings for YOU!  Why not start today with Jesus Christ and with a new perspective  ...  The God of the universe loves YOU, and it is His desire that YOU prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers, that YOU have blessings untold on your calendar, that YOU can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, that YOU are ever on His mind, and He wants the very best for YOU! 

"But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,

my glory, and the lifter of my head."

(Psalm 3:3)

The glory of the Lord is upon you to "be" great, to do great things, to rise to your full capacity in Him, to be all you can be  ...  for Him, for others, for your family in Christ, and for yourself  ...  JOY is the middle name for those in the family of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Lift your dream from its dusty quiver, and release it to "fly" in the arms of God! 

Our time in earth is short.  "How do you know?" you ask.  Have you looked at the headlines, the world as a whole, and not only that, but there's a feeling in the depth of the souls of the "family" that says, "It's almost time to go home;" "We've Got Leavin' On Our Minds;" the skies draw our eyes more and more as we hear faint strains of "I'll fly Away;" and we feel His "Amazing Love" growing even stronger.  From the tugs at our hearts, and the visions of heaven in our minds, we individually say, "I Can Only Imagine;" and, we know that "In Christ Alone" is our hope for all eternity "Because He Lives;" Oh, it's a known fact that He makes everything beautiful "In His Time;" and above all, we know that He is full of splendor and a "God Of Wonders."  

Families stick together; they hold each other in the hard times; they love each other through it all; they dream their dreams together, fight their battles and wars together, climb the mountains together, march in cadence together, believe and bow together ...  They Pray "through" together  ...  because they are One in Jesus Christ our Lord.  Whatever we do as the body of Christ and the bride of Christ, we know it's about winning our world, gathering the sheaves, and holding tight to God's children, because it is, after all, a soon coming final declaration that we are "All In The Family."
