"Legacy"

“A man ought to live so that everybody knows he is a Christian…
and most of all, his family ought to know.”
  ~ D. L. Moody~

Families of God are the legacy to leave behind, a loving
father, who loves his wife and children
O, father, you are next to God in passion; you're called,
chosen, assigned and you're driven
Your children see your love for the wife of your youth,
and they have a pattern to follow
They grow and go forth from the quiver, to love their
wives and children, as a guided arrow
Homes of love beget homes that carry forth their holy
inheritance, of peace and faith
It was bought with a price on the cross, and then fought
in prayer by fathers who were awake
And, when the years have taken their toll, and the families
progress through generations intact
The heritage can be traced to those fathers long ago, who
warred in the Spirit, and that's a fact
Fathers, treat your wives like ladies, for the children are
watching, and they're forming a plan
And when they are grown and married, their wives can
say, "His father was a holy man."
It's all passed down, you know, from generation to the
next, to be holy or evil, a delicate weave
We are products of glory, raised to be pure, or tares among
wheat, when they gather the sheaves
Stand tall, O fathers, and bow low in your quest for a line
that is holy, not a tragedy or a fantasy
For many will follow you; your prayers and your life will
be a monument, of a Holy "Legacy."

"WAR Dance!"

"Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing
praises unto him with the timbrel and harp."
(Psalm 149:3)

We are in the battle of our lives!  Huh?  It's the last hour, the last days, the final triumph, the day of exploits and power, the moments of victory before the Rapture of the Church, the gathering of the Harvest, the Spirit upon all flesh, the PUSH to BIRTH, the watch for the Thief, the end time prophetic release, the end of the Age, the time to MOVE into action to bring the Spirit; it's the time for the saints of the living God to show the devil who reigns, to show the world we mean business; it's TIME for the "WAR Dance!"

"A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;"
(Ecclesiastes 3:4)

"What does dancing have to do with War?" you ask.  It's the MOVE before the MOVE!  Huh?  God has a reason, a purpose, and an end result for everything.  Before miracles, there was always an action needed on the part of the miracle recipient, ie the man with the withered hand was told, "stretch forth your hand;" the lame man was told "rise and walk;" the lepers were told "go and show yourselves to the priest;" the miracle of the loaves and fishes required a human action of providing "a lunch;" the leprosy was healed when he "dipped seven times."  It comes down to God's principle of "If you will, I will."  So, what about the dance?  MOVE in the flesh, and He will cause us to MOVE in the Spirit; a dance in the flesh precedes a dance in the Spirit!  Ah, you oughta' be shouting right about now!  God is about to do it!  What?  Bring the BIRTH, AWAKEN the "dust," open the windows of heaven, and know this  ...  the WAR is won by unsuspecting means  ...  Do you win a WAR with a dance?  You betcha!

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do,
do all to the glory of God."
(I Corinthians 10:31)

Remember those dance hall days?  Remember how wild we were when we were not living for the Lord?  Remember the lack of inhibitions we exhibited when we danced for fleshly pleasure and seduction?  Well, it's time now to turn the things we gave all to in the days of living unrighteous, and present them in a holy way as an offering to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings and do it with all of our might.  David danced before the Lord with all of his might, much to his own wife's chagrin; she made fun of, and mocked, David.  God made her barren because of it.  We must be careful not to look down on another's way of worship  ...  God accepts the offering of the heart, and especially when it is flamboyantly presented to Him in worship!

"For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of
your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."
(Acts 17:28)

Ah, there it is!  "In him we live, and MOVE ..."  MOVE it for Jesus; dance because you "have" and dance because you "have not;"  give Him the worship due His name; rejoice in the Lord always; do the two-step that causes His onset; praise Him with the whole body, soul, mind, and spirit; and honor Him with fanatical worship!  He IS the lover of our souls, the keeper of our sanity, the depth of our walk, the reason for our talk, the solace of our sadness, the beauty for our ashes  ...  HE IS!

Are you in pain?  Is your life full of heartache and rain?  There's an answer and a solution  ...  "Kick it" for Jesus!

"Trial's Cry"

Job

"How I long for the months gone by,
for the days when God watched over me."
(Job 29:2)

Oh, how we long for yesterday, when in the midst of the test and
trial; we cry for the days of yore
If we could only go back to when the Lord was close, the tears
were dry, and the pain was no more
The test is a desert so hot and dry, loneliness is our companion
and a stillness of the hovering heavens
It's a place where we come face to face with our inner being, a
loudness of our own soul that deafens
Questions plague us, mourning cloaks us, depression seeks to
overtake us, but our faith offers rebuttal
For every "Why?" our faith grabs hands with our soul and
spirit, and together they form a holy huddle
It's a war against the flesh so bleeding and torn, seeking to rob
our belief that Almighty God's still there
Even though we can't feel Him, see Him, or touch Him, that faith
floods us like an epee in the throes of a dare
We thought we had lost it in the middle of pain and despair, but
the Word rises up in a fight to the finish
Our own hearts are surprised, when we have no proof that we'll
live, but the hope will not be diminished
The fire shut up in our bones comes to our rescue in times of
war, and it says, "You can only go this far!"
It seems to be the only voice from above that we're sure of, and
it blows in the winds, shoving aside the stars
As we moan in gasping breaths, that we wish we hadn't been
born, the Lord emerges with Lion-like force
He says, "Where were you when I formed the foundation of the
world?" and lists His power, as a matter of course
We're suddenly humbled in arrogance of stature, realizing we're
but "dust," and God's hand's in the matter
It's clear now that it all began with accusations from the cast out
one, the doomed for the Lake of Fire adder
After all, Job's trial lasted only nine months; to everything there
is a season, and a time to every purpose
When we belong to Jesus Christ, our trials are in His realm; we
were bought with His blood, and purchased
Perspective comes into view, and the desert seems to have an
oasis; and it's cancelling our desire for the past
The presence of the Lord has brought a new angle to this test,
and we are enlightened to a new forecast
The times on the wheel only make us stronger, if we hold tight to
the horns of the altar, and refuse the devil a bow
We should know the trial is always about our faith, our stand, our
trust in the Holy One, to whom we vowed
As Jacob wrestled with the angel and wouldn't let him go, so
fierce was the battle, disjointing his thigh
So we must love our Savior, our Lord, through every test and
every "Why," with trust as ever our "Trial's Cry."

"Make Disciples"

He said to them, "Go into all the world and
preach the good news to all creation."
(Mark 16:15)

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..."
(Matthew 28:19)

Are "clones" necessary today?  YES!  Huh?  As Christians and servants of the Lord Jesus, we need to duplicate our salvation and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in others.  We need to teach the Word of God to everyone we see; we must witness of the love, redemption and saving grace of Jesus Christ to the world.  It's why the Church began in the Book of Acts.    We must "Make Disciples" of all Nations, kindred, and tongues.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
(Acts 1:8)

All of us should "sow" and have a string of "disciples" behind us, a trail of souls we've won to God, a line of "clones" following our examples of the Lord Jesus Christ in the earth.  Luke 24:47 says, "and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."  It's a mandate to all Christians, and it's not hard when we know the joy of the living waters poured into our own souls, when we feel Him in our hands, feel Him in our feet, and the moving of His Spirit within us, when we hear His voice and know His protection and provision, when we know the power of His Blood, His Name and His Word, and when we know without a doubt the thrill of coming up out of baptismal waters in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and feeling free and clean and holy and innocent and forgiven and  ...

"All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the
people one from another as a shepherd separates
the sheep from the goats."
(Matthew 25:32)

It is not a simple thing to "make disciples" of people.  The Lord spent day and night with His disciples, teaching, teaching, teaching them.  He poured everything He had into them, quoting the Word, making them think with parables, testing their comprehension from time to time by asking them deep questions; it was a very concerted effort.  The Lord was diligent with the dedicated and strong continual transferring of His mind into them.  We, then, have an obligation to know the Holy Bible, so that we can teach it and give understanding to those we win to Jesus Christ.  We are all still learning ourselves, but we have an assignment to take the gospel to every creature, and then make disciples of them  ...  the world is waiting  ...

"But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through
death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and
free from accusation-- if you continue in your faith, established and firm,
not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you
heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and
of which I, Paul, have become a servant."
(Colossians 1:22-23)

Servants of the Lord Jesus Christ must have His vision, His goal, His purpose, His desire for the world.  The Lord is not willing that any should be lost or perish.  When we look at a world globe, do we see oceans and nations, or do we see faces of precious souls?  When on our streets and in our market places, do we see just people, or do we see hurting, hungry, brothers and sisters to be?  When praying, does the vision of the world come before us like a round populated teardrop falling from the face of a loving God?  Are souls in our dreams, in our visions, and in our hearts?  Do we yearn to see all people of all nations worshiping the One true Holy omnipotent God, Jesus Christ?

Pray, dear friend, that we will be one in the Lord.  People in other nations: Pray for America.  America: Pray for people in other nations.  If you are in Jesus Christ, you are my brother and my sister; I desire that you are filled with His Spirit, blessed, protected, encouraged, holy, and righteous in the sight of God, even as you desire the same for me.  Before long, we will see One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, One Church Order, One Church, One people serving the Lord Jesus Christ in every nation, kindred and tongue, marching in cadence to the voice of the soon-coming King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

It wasn't a suggestion; it was a command to go forth and make disciples of all nations.  We are not saved to sit down, but to go out.  To whom much is given, much is required.  We are always given more from God than for just our household; that's so we will share with others.  To bring another soul to Jesus Christ and see the tears of repentance, the joy of living water flooding their souls, the beauty and innocence after baptism in Jesus' name, the freedom on their countenances, the wholeness that consumes them  ...  it's a sight to behold, and the greatest joy in earth.  The Bible says the angels desire to look into it, when souls are filled with the Spirit of God!

"Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they
did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have
preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven;
which things the angels desire to look into."
(I Peter 1:12)

The wedding plans are under way; the Bridegroom is readying the trumpet sound; the Bride is preparing her hope chest; the Church is filling up  ...  We are on the home stretch; come brothers and sisters, gather the harvest, reach for the hands, look into the eyes of those we'll spend eternity with, see what Jesus Christ sees in the creation in earth  ...  and do it  ...  "Make disciples."
